How is everyone doing to day???..What a strom more lighting and wind...

Tonight for supper will be chili...Crockpot...

Good Morning, Dr. appointment was some what interesting yesterday. First of the 2 Dr.s in the office one was at the hospital doing injections and the other is on vacation, so only the NP was in the office and yet they sat up appointments just like both Dr.s were there. My appointment was for 10:30 and at 11:30 people who were supposed to be at 10:00 were still waiting. Anyhow once I got back into the office, she came in and asked if there was any new pain. I told her that it wasn't new but was getting worse. She had me stand up in front of her and ran both her thumbs up and down my spine. She muttered "oh my". She said that my back is spasming continually (the nerves are sending the wrong signals) and that is why I'm having the sharp pains when reaching for things. So she gave me muscle relaxers. Told her I don't notice the spasms unless I overdo. We also had a chat about the pain meds. Told her that unless I'm really hurting I don't take the 3rd one that I'm allowed, I know they are addictive and that you can build a tolerance for them and I want to keep them working for as long as I can so I don't have to go to something stronger, she said it was a good plan and she wished more patients would think like that. With everything I still had to wait for about an hour for Kenny to get done to pick me up

Today will have to go get some food for in this house.

Good Morning to all...a dreary one for right now, very dark and cloudy, wish it would bring some much needed rain, grass I brown and very stressed, to much to try and water...enough watering plants and garden around the house...

Yesterday was a fantastic day, my cousin came over and we spent the day talking, lounging in the pool and then by the pool, ordered pizza and wings for supper once hubby got home from work, and she stayed until after 9:00 p.m., she lives about two hours away she was back for a two day visit so I was so glad to see her...

So today I really do need to do some housecleaning and laundry because on Monday I have another friend visiting that I have not seen since the late 90's, we just recently connected again so another day of lounging and talking, LOVE IT!!!

Need to pay some bills, grocery shop, a little housekeeping, laundry, and make a peach pie...decide on what to fix for supper../

Have a great day one and all, I need to read the news, pay those bills, then get off of the computer...think positive...

Good Morning! It was a muggy pretty day yesterday and today is starting out cloudy.

Yesterday was productive. Remade the BD cake and got it iced. Made the fruit fillings for 4 of the pies to be baked today. Made a good dinner & did up some laundry. Nothing exciting. Had planned to go swimming after dinner, but a storm rolled in just at that time.

This morning I'm going to bake the 4 fruit pies & plus 2 other pies. They are all sturdy pies. Tomorrow morning I'll bake the other 3 pies...apple & peach. They are best fresh. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring. There is always cleaning to be done. Not sure if my Mom's birthday celebration/dinner will be here or my brother's on Sunday. Still in the planning stages.

so overcast .gray... getting set up for rain and thunderstorms are a'comin... will finish up computer scanning and disconnect ...

David had lab work , ( donating lots of little vials of red stuff).. his two doctors appts.. next week.. we use the local urgent care facility ... I drove ,it was a 12 hr fasting and he came home hungry..

SassyG... I would love to have a house full of kittys but would not want the work of them... litter boxes galore. and what an expense to feed!..
when I was a teen we lived on farm, with milking cows ,chickens ,pigs. and lots of kittys... they kept the mice population down at the barn .and grain bens.. they got their share of milk at milking time . and lots of scraps that was going to the pigs.. my sister and I would have fun hunting out the newborn litters.

Elaine,, so sad indeed..

think I will get busy and tidy up house... will go to Karens, tell them goodby..Bethany is going to international baton competion .somewhere in Ohio ..for the weekend.. and then ...... settle down with book or puzzle... .

Good morning...I am taking my time getting around this morning...I am not sure what all today will bring...I know the bird goes home today...my sister and family will be home sometime in the night Saturday. I will go on my bike in the morning and take care of all animals one last time. My dad will help me with taking the bird home before he leaves for home...I had thought about going with him but I need to stay here and do some stuff...a week from today my best friend comes...she will be my first over night guest here to visit me...I have had other people come and stay but they were not specifically my company. I am very very excited to see her...and get to spend a little time with her...I might be going home with my parents for a few days when they leave to take her back....I am not sure if I will go then or the following week...probably then..Mom and I may go look at kitties while I am home...I am so ready to have my own cat!

Yesterday morning I volunteered...well I had decided that I wanted to fix them something special so I planned out the meal and brought the sausage in. They loved it. I fixed them chocolate chip pancakes and sausage...I think that I ended cooking for a total of 22 so that was 44 pancakes...I was tired by the end of that.

Dad and I will be going to Sam's later to pick up some stuff for my oldest niece to take to camp with her. We have a list and he has asked me to help him. We also will go to walmart to get my short list of stuff. We may or may not get lunch..

Tomorrow other than a little bit of pet care I have zero plans! I am looking forward to a day of nothing...I will probably spend the biggest part of the next two days reading.

Good morning.....

Another sunny, hot day here, about 100°+ and very much in need of rain. 🌵
I tried to download Dallas News to see what's going on there. Must be a lot of people googling. I saw the words "snipers" and then lost Google. Haven't been able to get it back, it just won't download now. Somebody want to give me the highlights on that? Please? EGads, I hope our stepdaughter wasn't out there.

Today the neighbor's son is coming over to clear out my garden area for me. I haven't been able to, despite my good intentions. He's just graduated, and into landscaping. So I hired him. He's really the most polite and all-around nicest young men I've ever met.

No other particular plans for today. I'd maybe like to go to a store and get some new slippers. The ones that I have were good for when my feet were badly swollen. Not now, though, as the swelling subsides again. They're made like Berkenstock shoes, and are a danger to walk in. I take very careful steps. When I stepped outside yesterday, I nearly lost my balance because they won't stay on my feet very well.

Guess I'll make my cuppa tea ☕️ And figure out what to have for breakfast. Maybe just a toasted Eggo.

One young man causing so much heartache and sorrow. 5 police officers killed and 7 others injured. And then, the shooter killed.
Such senseless loss of life and the sorrow extends throughout the country. So sorry, Elaine, for all of Texas.
My " problems" pale in comparison. Reading your posts and seeing the challenges all of us deal with gives me strength and a feeling of companionship.
One good thing about living in a small town is you can bake a cake or cookies and take it to the police station or fire station and the officers know you and feel ok with eating what you offer. My mailman will accept bottLes of water or Gatorade or give my his water bottle for me to fill up,with my bottled water dispenser.
That sense of community both here and where I live is a big part of my happiness.
I want to make a peach pie this weekend. I need to practice for when my son Stuart and his family come down from Washington in a couple of weeks.
Our little dog is doing so well. I can't wait to get the cone off. I have to hand feed her because of her flat face and the cone she can't reach the food, even on a plate.
My mom is off to MN till Tuesday. So Becky will take care of her cat and yard and my brother will be doing all the things she asks me to look up on my computer...

Aloha all!

Such a sad situation in Dallas. I just hope and pray there are no copycats around the country. My heart goes out to all the families of the people involved. Why can't people just get along?

Not doing much here today except try to make exercise class. It will be brought in pizza for supper tonight as they are doing something in the kitchen that needs fixing. Hope there is enough and a variety.
