    Good Morning!

Yesterday was very nice. I worked my butt off before everyone came, but it was worth it. We had different dishes than we normally do for our picnics and everyone was lovin' them. They swam a little before dinner and we expected to swim more afterwards, but the two grandmas weren't interested in going down to the pool and we all just talked, which was fine. We loaded my nephew up with leftovers to take back to Ohio with him.

I'm starting to soften up with Jimmy. Kathy said he was amazed at not only the food, but how we all got along. We can laugh & carry on w/o the help of alcohol. There was no bickering or fighting. The threat of calling the police was never mentioned. We just all had a good time together. How sad it that that he never experienced that growing up? Kathy & I had a serious chat last night before bed. I see a tiny glimmer of growing up....tiny.

This morning starts VBS at a local church (Aunt J's) and Blaise is going to go there for the week. I may run into town while he's there. I need to get him a couple more pairs of shorts before he goes to camp on Sunday. Corky started working 10hr days today. I'm hoping to finally relax enough to actually go down to the pool and get in.

    SG...CUTE!

Good morning everyone in our little cyber world.

Yesterday was Church, then came home and cut ALL the grass. That means rider, pusher, and weed eater. Boy was I tired before going to Church again last night. Today will be using the Roundup along the house and around the trees.

This afternoon will be going to the country to mow. Last week we got everything done in about an hour and a half. We both must have had it in high gear because it usually takes 2 hours. I really don't know for sure how much we mow, but it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't at least 3-4 acres.

Last week she called to start in the morning and caught me in my nighties. Guess what...I've showered and am dressed already. Doesn't take me long to learn.

Hope all have a good day, and remember...enjoy whatever it is you decide to do today.
Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.

Good Morning to all...it has been such a busy time since Friday....go here, go there, do this, do that, graduation parties, Father's Day celebration, son visiting and bringing the trees I ordered, he is a landscaper and can get the trees at his cost...just hate that he had to drive two hours with the trailor to deliver them...seems weird, bought a tree farm and I am buying trees, LOL...I wanted two Autumn Blaze Maples for the front yard, and two peach trees for the back yard...and the maple trees are already probably 16 ft. tall so the balls are huge, hubby will start to dig the holes for them after work, they need to be in the ground soon.

Our tomato plants looked so good and in a blink of an eye they started dying, well sons SO was here and she works for a landscaping firm and she told me it was probably because of the close proximity of the walnut trees to the garden, there is a disease they get if close or if walnut trees where once planted there...well there is about 5 around the garden, not all veggies are affected by the disease, but tomatoes, rhubarb, potatoes, and other things are...well I will probably watch our garden die a little at a time because I have all of that...will know better next season.

Busy time coming up this week also, today supposed to be the hottest we have had yet, my plan is to do my inside cleaning...found that I have pneumonia again from the acid reflux, aspirating pneumonia its called and I get it way to often now....I woke up during the night, went to turn over to my other side and got hit by a terrible pain in my shoulder area and now this morning it hurts like a toothache can hardly raise my arm...this getting older is not boding well with me...

Well off to strip the bed that was slept in by son and then our bedroom..I really need a run to the grocery store also, we will see. Have a great day one and all.

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

Good Morning, yesterday was quiet. He stayed in bed all day, his son called and he refused to answer the phone. When I brought the phone in here he told me not to answer it if he called back, sometimes I wish I could pick him up and spank him like the 2 year old he's acting like.

If I could get into the garage without breaking my neck I would drag the lawn mower out. I told him the other day to get it out and my weed eater so I could do what I could, but no. Have a doctor appointment tomorrow.

Donna, it's good that you are starting to like Jimmy, just don't let your guard down and let them move in. Have a feeling that he may be showing you the side that you want to see. Have saw the X's niece do this to his sister more times than I care to think about, play the game until she let them move in and then neither one would keep a job and she would end up supporting them, not sure how many apartments she has rented for her just to get her out of the house.

          Good Morning.

Doc apt for John and trip to the market after. Other than that, my last day off before outpatient therapy begins. OMG!

Sharon, what a shame about your garden. All that work and all that loss. It is wonderful that your son can provide you with trees.
Our trees were here long before the house and we take them for granted, but we are surely grateful for all of the shade and coolness they provide.

          Have a good day, Everyone.

            Good morning.

We did go to the movies yesterday. Finding Dora was good, but didn't have the impact of Finding Nemo. And I think she only "spoke whale" once.
The theater was packed, but the kids were quite well behaved. E took me in my wheelchair, so we got earlier seating and didn't have to wait in the line.
Next to me was another lady in a wheelchair, then her grown daughter and grown large dog, and the older lady's husband. He actually brought in the dogs water dish, filled it with ice water, then got snacks for them. The dog, a mixed breed (golden retriever, lab, shepherd?) mostly well behaved, but kinda pushed down the line when they dove into their snacks. I drew the line when he started "nosing" my leg/hip. Very annoying. I leaned over and said "I'm allergic." She had to pull her dog away and keep it in their own midst.

The heat was sizzling yesterday. 🌵 You could feel it rising from the concrete. Global warming? Too much concrete out there!

Today E needs to get to the AFB to get one of my prescriptions, or we will be paying full price for it. I don't want my new meds delivered to our metal "birdhouse" mailbox because of the heat....it's much hotter in the mailbox!

            Tomorrow, my hair appointment. 💇🏼

            (((((((Sharon)))))))

            Have a good day, everyone.

              Morning all

Oh! It was so nice to walk out the door at 7am to go to work and find it only 73° instead of the 83° it has been for 2 weeks. Lower humidity too!

Spent the day Saturday with Chris's parents for their 49th anniversary. Didn't get home until well after midnight. I'm too old for this late-night catting around!

Took Chris to lunch yesterday for Father's Day- neither of the stepsons he raised from the time they were 3 & 5 bothered to contact him yesterday. He'd never admit it, but he was very down about it.

Nalani - LOVED the pix of you zip lining! You GO GIRL!

Today it's back to the grind and I'm in the middle of doing the homeowner statements for the condo owners. Gotta get busy stuffing envelopes and putting the postage on.

              Y'all have a good 'un!
The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

                  Good morning

bad night...more awake than asleep... did not hurt anywhere .. just couldn't turn the brain off..

got good news and bad news late in the evening ... Good news ...Mike called to wish David Happy Fathers day.. and he also said Cory did leave , peacefully... don't know where , just pack most of his stuff and left. no details because Pam was listening I guess...
Bad news. Davids sister only has one child ,Amy... 47, and she went to hospital.. very low blood pressure.various other problems.. she is a severe diabetic ( like her mother). so text back and forth with her daughter.. have not heard from her this morning .... so I could not get in the sleep mood until about 3am.
. good thing I don't have much planned for today.. trip to Aldis. a quick stop at the second hand store.hunting a pr or two of Jeans for me... old and thin. for everyday summer wear.. can't stand new jeans.. too hot

David heard from all 4 kids... Brunch with Mark.. Supper out with Karens family , Bruce stopped in.. and Mike called. a perfect day for him.. I glad they did not have to be prompted...

Donna.. will be calling for a grease day with you. and a long talk..

What a Shame about your garden stuff.. I wonder now if Davids three tomato plants will make it . planted beside two rose bushes?...

JoG. Why was the lady allowed to bring dog into theater.. ?????.. I am allergic to perfumes. and pretty smells. (soap,makeup.).. and sometimes have to move around in church.. and have in theaters . but "Just out movies" are generally full .. so I just don't bother going to them.

Hi Pat, Elaine, Darla..SassyG.. and all to come... see you later
Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.

Probably her therapy dog...but not a trained one. A trained dog, like Seeing Eye dogs, does not nose or socialize with others. You are asked not to touch or socialist zed with them unless you ask their person they are with. A friend's children have raised Seeing Eye pups in 4-H for years...
People who want to take their dog places usually just need a doctor to say they need it...I am all for it but I think some take advantage of it.
Stay out of that heat today, Jo.
Pat, anytime you can get lower humidity is a good thing! It is 73 here this morning, too. Our cooler temps are over.
The vanilla bean scones Becky made are so good.
                    Have a good Monday!

I think you're right about the dog, Paula, and they probably passed him off as a care dog. He was on a sturdy leash, but had nothing to identify it as a care dog. He was well trained, apparently, as a pet.....but they didn't keep him away til I said something. Most care dogs are kept cleaner with shiny coats...this one had thick, dull looking fur, like he had just rolled in some dust.

I wish I had one of those scones now, Paula. Sounds soooooo good. There used to be a coffee shop nearby that sold scones. The apricot ones were outstanding!

I know I don't write much on here but the last week has been different. My computer went blooyee and has been in the shop all week. Still haven't heard anything so I finally found my password for this site Not sure if I'll get the old computer fixed and if I don't I will just use the apartment computers. Won't be everyday but a few times a week. Getting too old for messes like this anyway. Hope to see you as often as I can.

Glad your son got rid of the step son. Now everyone can relax about that.
