Thursday...June 16...Good Morning

Good morning everyone.

Guess the door is now open for all to post. I'm off to T.H. after while so won't be around until later this afternoon. Will be getting sod to cover a 13' x 15' area. The hard part will be trying to lift those rolls out of the back of my car. But I'll getter done.

Yesterday I went out to my friend's house and cut out some big roots that had come to the surface under her old decking. That turned out to be a bigger job than what I had anticipated, but again, the job got done. Also cut off some dead limbs from the pear tree that tore me up Monday when we mowed. Now maybe I won't have bleeding arms again.

Time to get some breakfast and then get dressed for the day. Hopefully I won't have to shower twice again today. When you work out in this heat and humidity, you kinda stink when you finish working.

Good Morning! Looks like it's going to be a sunny one....yea!

Yesterday was good. I feel pretty again. Blaise & I both had hair appointments with Lori. I got a top perm...no more flat lifeless hair. Lori is moving to SC in October once their new home is finished being built. Her husband is already there working at his new job. I graduated with him and Lori is a year younger. She's selling the business to a local girl...my cousin Karen's niece. Two of her employees who have been with her for years blindsided her and left for a different salon. They could have said something, but they said they were afraid she'd fire them on the spot. DUMB! She thought of them as friends, but found out different. She's very hurt. Her & I have been bartering food for hair for probably 15 years now and she's been doing my hair for at least 27 yrs. We've become friends through all this. I'll miss her.

Didn't do a whole lot yesterday. Did cook dinner & worked on a pool a bit. Got new chemicals to try and balance the levels out. Read a lot....nice.

This morning we are heading to Cranberry to Portrait Innovations to get Blaise's 6 yr old pictures taken. His birthday was last month. Need to do an Aldi's run too. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring.

Good Morning, a beautiful morning it is out there..but we need some rain, my garden and large flower pots and such will need watered if we don't get any and will have to add some water to the swimming pool..

Going to finish up the house cleaning today, my oldest son will be coming to visit this weekend, so looking forward to it and looking forward to getting the trees that I wanted for front yard...seems strange to buy trees when we bought a tree farm, LOL and actually had to cut a lot of trees down to build our house, but alas they are not the kind of trees that I wanted. I can say one thing, having so many walnut trees around here sure brings the squirrels around. And have missed having peach trees also so will get those for back yard...Hubby stopped and got the bricks we wanted for around the fire ring, they didn't have the metal liner but would be there on today's shipment so he can get started on the paver patio around it and then the fire ring in the center...let the building begin..

Jostoy, ain't no wonder your back gives you fits, you work it way to hard!!! Hope to see a picture of your camping place when you get it completed, and the inside of your trailer. Will be a great place to just get away...if you learn how to sit and relax a bit.

Cookie I know how it is when you find a person you like to do your hair and then they are gone, they older I get the worse it gets, they all want to make me look older, LOL...Looking forward to seeing some pictures of Blaise...does Kathy every go and have her picture taken with him? Our pool has been really easy to care for this year, I was amazed at how clear it was when we took the cover off, hope hubby wrote down what they had us use to put in it before we closed it last year...

Have to decide on something for supper, that is such a chore sometimes, need to use up the 'stuff' I have in freezer before going on a meat buying spree again..
Well folks time to get the news read, get dressed and get my day started...

A few years ago as a gift of some sort to her (her BD or Christmas) we paid to have her picture taken with Blaise. I no longer bother telling her because I'm the one paying for them. She gets miffed when I sometimes get in one of the pics with her, but I"M the one paying for them, so I can do what I want. I told her when she starts paying for the pictures, she can do what she wants. I only bought the $9.99 package even though all the pictures were so cute. Just can't afford the extras at this time. Don't know if they'll let me upload the picture to put on FB or not.

Morning today is volunteer day...my back is giving me fits...

I guess that I am back to looking for a new job..just when I thought I couldn't get any fewewr hours she cut my hours even more! I went from 4 hours every Sunday night to 4 hours every other Sunday night to I don't know now..this Sunday should have been my Sunday to work because I thought she was just switching my Sunday nights because she gave me 2 Sunday nights in a row...now she gave me an extra one off! I am going to stay there for now working what ever hours I get and doing the best that I can...in the mean time pray that I find something different with more hours soon!

The good thing about today is I get to see my nieces and we going out for a treat.

Morning all.

I have the summertime blahs. Don't get me wrong: I love my job, but am sick to death of the sense of entitlement that our guests have at the condo. Just because you have money doesn't make you a better person than ME.

Haven't physically seen Erin in over 2 weeks - she's at Granny's. Talk to her daily, but that wouldn't happen unless I call her. Hope she's enjoying her summer vacation. Somehow she managed to make 3 B's and one C for the last semester. And won a school-wide award for the student who gave the most effort. I was amazed.

I need to find some gumption and pick myself up and out of this slump. Any ideas?

Jo, I don't even want to tell you how much sod we put down around here and how much of it is no longer in existence. Did not work for us.

Another hot day...love it! Jon went to pick up Andrew yesterday and his cousin was there so he brought both boys back to swim. They had a ball. Sierra played along with the boys for a while then her dad got in to take over. 9 year old boys are rough in a pool. The water had warmed up to wonderful in a rapid pace with this heat. I had a pork roast in the crock pot but we ended up running an errand and just grabbing a bite so tonight's meal is fixed. Ball game tonight...booo. Lunch this afternoon with the girls but today t is in my backyard and a place I like so I know how to get there and what I will eat! It is so comforting to know where you are and how to get home. Nothing new around here. Hot, humid but the house is cool and I sleep fine at night. You people work to hard out there..Jostoy! It is summer..enjoy! Oh, Pat, I have been that summer vacationer many times and I hope I behaved myself. You make me think. Well, off for the coffee and then start the day.

Tomorrow is Doctor day. Hope he can deal with my foot as well as the red cell problem.

Sunny, cool morning here. It was cool all day yesterday and only reached 70* at the end of daycare.
I am glad I still had my comforter on the bed.
I cooked waffles and bacon for the kids this morning. I love the smell of bacon in the morning!
Pat, after working one week as a hotel maid at a San Diego resort I vowed I would Never treat anyone so dismissively as I felt. My friend who worked with me felt the same way. We were both college sophomores and were so glad it was a temp job and another call came from a hospital to work there. We both have mentioned since then how we always talk to the hotel,staff and show real appreciation. Thankful for the manners and respect I was raised with!
Jostoy, your friends are blessed to have you in their life helping out the way you do. Take care of yourself!

Sharon, I followed my hair stylist from one shop to another for decades now! Donna, like you said, we have become good friends. She is one of my friends who takes dinners to the homeless shelter with me. ,
Low numbers in daycare today and I am going to enjoy it. My state food person came yesterday at snack time. It was a great visit, kids loved the cinnamon graham crackers and a bowl of milk. No spills dipping crackers in bowls!
Anyway, you can see it doesn't take much to make me happy!

Good morning, all. Sorry for absenteeism (is that a word?). I started having neck pain on Monday afternoon. It got progressively worse and I ran out of pain meds. Decided I had better get to a Dr. so went to ER I wish that the nice young Dr. had her own practice. I would be there first in line. She renewed my scripts and told me to come back if it didn't get any better.
Went to the chiropractor Tue. He did his thing and then used the ultra sound. I think it helped but I can't sit here very long unless I'm hooked to the TENS unit.
My pads have lost all their sticking power. I had ordered some from Amazon and when I went to tracking them found they were addressed to my old address.
Lovely living in a small town. I called the PO to have them snag my package but they had already caught it. I'll get my pads by afternoon.

Made Chile Verde yesterday and was really disappointed. Flavor was just right but the pot was so lean it was dry and stringy. Maybe I'll just cook it some more and see if that helps.

Seems like everyone is taking care of outdoor stuff. I need to water my garden, 7 pots. I have been hoping to get a patio tomato, too, but haven't been to Walmart or OSH.

was finishing up yesterdays spaghetti making... packed up what I was sharing with Karen and took it to her house.. ( only 1 1/2 mile away)... and bagged and froze my share , all but enough for a little spag. after while..
should jump in and start cleaning but its rainy,, and dark . so think I will just set down with a book ..

have had not news from son in Colorado.. don't know whether that is bad or good... will give him a few more days to call me..

Good Afternoon, been a long day already. Had an appointment with the pain Dr. this morning, used medical transport. Appointment was for 9am, they picked me up at 8am so I was at the office by 8:30, Office doesn't open until 9 so kind of sat on the window sill or leaned on the wall. As I was going back to the room my leg just completely gave way, I caught myself on the doorway, I have been telling drs. that it does this, anyhow he happened to see me, and so ordered me a quad-cane. Told me to use it in case I'm not near enough to anything to catch myself on. got done with my appt. and the fun began, called for my return trip, gave them my conformation number and was told that it could be an hour, but if they weren't there in 30 minutes to call back.Anyhow called back after an hour (if it hasn't been an hour they will automatically tell you 15 minutes. She said 15 minutes, after another 1/2 hour I was ready to call and tell them to forget it, and call Kenny to come get me, when the driver showed up. Truthfully I think he was messing around waiting for the other lady we had dropped at a different office to call and say she was ready. Was her and her little girl and once they got in the driver started messing with his cell phone, I knew he was doing the whole GPS thing, she had told him the other office she needed to go to was straight up Broadway, anyhow after several minutes she reminded him that he was at work, she thought he was busy texting. Once they were dropped off he started to play with his GPS again, I told him to just go to the light, make a left, go to the first stop sign and make a right and come almost to the end of the block. Anyhow 15 minute drs appointment and I was gone from home for 3 hours.

Mouth is still kind of sore today, she said that it may take up to a week as one of the roots was pretty deep, plus all of the teeth were infected. She gave me anti-biotics to clear that up.
