Good morning everyone!! I am up early...need to go load the dish washer..and touch up a couple things up stairs and down stairs as well..I want the house to be perfect when my dad gets here at noon...I am not sure how many days I will get to enjoy him being here..I know at least through Sunday evening..Mom isn't coming this time she has stuff to do in Centralia...

Today I am going to the casino first thing this morning still have not decided if I will play anything or not more than likely I will not play anything this time...I am going there to meet a bus that will take me to the metro link...meeting a lady there from the activities group that I am a part of...she will show me how to switch trains and where to go for our Saturday activity...we are going on Scenic River boat ride...it should be a good time.

Tonight I have nursery duty at church..hoping with the 2 and 3 year olds or the babies...not much better than baby snuggles if you have to sit in the nursery.

Good Morning! The sun keeps trying to come out. Man is it chilly out there...down in the 40's. At least the a/c doesn't have to run.

Yesterday was good. Mixed up 6 kinds of cookies and got 4 kinds baked off. Made barley in the oven for dinner...it was good. My Aunt Pearl stopped by to visit me. We had a nice chat. It was just the 3 of us here and it was nice. No drama.

This morning I hope to bake off the last 2 kinds of cookies, then give some away. I also want to make some banana nut bread with the over ripe bananas and if I still have energy, bake 2 carrot cakes and put them in the freezer naked until the restaurant asks for them. Taking advantage of the cool weather. Not sure if we are going to mow today or tomorrow. All this rain has made the grass grow like crazy.

I got busy this morning mixing up another batch of Poor Man's Caviar, lots of protein, make it healthier with fat free dressing and bake tostitos for dipping..has to marinade for 24 hrs.
Yesterday I spent counting my change to get an idea how much I had collected and the weirdest thing happened, I came across two wheat pennies, so turned them over to see the date and they were 1953 the year I was born and yesterday was my birthday....Omen of some sort?
No cake or sweets, staying away from those for a bit, have gained some pounds and want to get rid of them...guess taking all that Prednisone had its disadvantages..but health over weight, health wins out..
I need to do it for hubby also, he needs to lose weight, so it is back to cooking with Bill Phillips Eating for Life...we do like his recipes and it has helped us in the past to lose weight..no guess work, no counting calories, etc. it is all in the book what to do, how to do it and the recipes, only thing I can't do is the powdered protein 'stuff' he does...I do not protein drinks at all, they do not sit well with me..
Okay, enough of that, time to get this day started...

I"m here SassyG.. just had to get house and stuff done, shower,hair etc etc.. have Dermotologist appt. at 10:15.. and she has a look at every inch.. so I had to be sparkling clean ... put that bear claw away for me... will snack on it this afternoon!!!!

a wettish ,very cool 51degree morning .. after appt.. will stop at walmart and aldis.. don't need much today.. ( will probably fill the cart up now )

sounding like I need to visit Donna and make her some Grease balls...

It is a good morning here also. Last evening I went swimming while Becky was still at the polls. Nice and relaxing. I rinsed off with the hose and the Entire time the water ran warm from the black hose being in the sun all day! I had it turned on slightly, if it was full blast it would have hit cool water sooner, but it was a nice way to get the chorine off.
Boffler, I want to lose about 7 more pounds. I keep going up and down with two pounds and just need to get serious again. I have let up on the treadmill for a few days.
Becky saw a lot of people she knew; there were three precincts voting at the church and the news even came and interviewed voters because of the new voting machine our county started using.
Sassy, thanks for the donut!
I better go bring in the garbage can so cars have more room to park with the kids.

Yeah, I'm up late today. Had a bad night, and yesterday turned out to be difficult for me, too. Considering skipping my PT today. I think I'll skip the donut today.

Beth, skip the casino. The longer you stay there, the more of your money it takes. The way the machines are set up, you can't win. It doesn't seem like you lose much at first, but in a short while you'll wonder how you lost so much.

Ohh, I like donuts...blueberry or cherry cake donut please. Drew had 2 hits and an rbi last night. We got out of the car and he looks over and says' gram, where's your shirt?' Gosh, I felt bad. Who would have thought? It was dirty and I pulled it out of the wash to do separately and it never got done because I never finished the laundry. So today first thing I will go down and wash the shirt. It is my rooter shirt with his name and number on it and I just never thought it would mean that much to him. But for the next two games this week I will wear my rooter shirt. Even that smelly dog wears his to every game so I have learned my lesson. Nothing going on today. Laundry, of course! I have nothing to do and no place to go. Kinda nice! Sierra may show after work to throw more sand...depends on what I cook if she comes or not. Have a beautiful day. I remember those days with my own children Maxie, rooter shirts, badges, etc..and them hearing me in the stands cheering them on...it does mean a lot to them, and means a lot to you also...enjoy the days, they grow up way to fast..

Did not go down to breakfast but had some cereal in my apartment then took off to Safeway and the car wash. Had tried to do this Monday when the battery died and I had to call AAA. They installed a new battery yesterday so I now good to go.
