Good SUNNY Morning! Yesterday was down right hot. Spring kind of got skipped except for the flowers.

Yesterday was good. I spent the morning making cupcakes for an order. Puttered away the rest of the day. Went to Dollar General and stocked up on a few of their sale items that I had coupons for. Corky finally got the pool pump working. Kathy & Jimmy worked on skimming the pool for quite a while. She really wants to get into it. I skimmed some too. With all the hot weather we are suppose to have for the next week, the water should heat up. Now to get the water clear.

Sometime today I'm taking a water sample to the pool place to see what they have to say. May run into town with Cork later on. Suppose to finally get together with an old childhood friend this evening.

Good Morning, looks like we might get rain for the next few days, of course it has been predicting that all week...of course we could use some, but wanted to go watch our son race tomorrow in MI so hoping it holds off...Hoping to start feeling some relief today from the sun allergy...the itching is bothersome. Have to go buy more pepper plants since the rabbits ate the ones we had, hubby put a fence around everything last night...also need to find a roller for our solar cover, a pain in the rear doing it by hand with two people...the water is warm enough to swim in, will help the hubby get the ladder in today, you have to have two sand filled plastic jugs to hold it down. Well time to fix some breakfast and get this weekend started...got my flag hung out yesterday and found the small flags I wanted to go in the red, white and blue petunia pots I made...Have a great weekend one and all, and please remember the reason for the Memorials...

UP and moving at last.. Mark was here at 6am... coffee and catch up on family news... was going to have Mark
put the flag on the front lawn flagpole but D. says it is ripped.. and if it can't be sewed , will have to buy new one... ah, D. brought flag in to show me.. it can be sewed..

went to the big rummage sale at the church yesterday... picked up a few t towels.. a beautiful bath towel .. some pillow cases.. couple of throw rugs. was hunting a long runner type rug.. did not see one yet. ..some puzzles. you know, someone elses discards .. .. I never like to spend money on new t-towels. or pillowcases.. or bedspreads.. did not take the time to go through a lot of stuff... MADE myself walk past all the dishes and pretty cups. and candy dishes...

will make a quick trip to library and bank this morning ..

Hi Elaine.. don't sound like you two are feeling 100% ... I bet there is a nephew in the neighborhood who would drive you in . or even do you shopping for you...

Rained again yesterday but hoping it will finally give us a dry day. 'Suppose' to be nice tomorrow but we are so darn wet here I don't count on it. Scott sent pictures on fb of the rain they have had. I thought a hot and dry summer had been predicted for us? Well, let's get it started by stopping the daily rains! Cannot have a drought if we are swimming in the streets... Told Jon to bring up the big beef roast last night and I would cook it all night for Italian Beef and he brought up this monster pork roast. I had my heart and mouth set on beef! But we will be eating pork for some time. Sierra coming in after work to stay over since she is travel to my sisters tomorrow. No pool liner installed since they have had so much rain. Andrew says if no pool he isn't going. Whatever..his loss. Must force myself to run the vac and the kitchen is a mess because someone and not me cooked last night and left the mess for his mom. Guess how late he was out last night will depend on how late he sleeps this morning. Gotta start the day and that means gotta clean that kitchen. How can cooking a burger cause so many dirty dishes?

Good morning, all! Much cooler last night and this morning.
Becky and I sat and put our feet on the pool after daycare. Our pool needs some warmer days to heat up...but, it is clean and calling to me. The neighbors over my back fence have been using their pool and it is starting to sound like summer around here.
I will be getting our grill cleaned up and the area around it " prettied up."
Boffler, I will be shopping for plants today. Your posts have worked and got me thinking of where and what to plant. A friend told me about a new little nursery that has beautiful petunias of all different colors...and I decided to take back a cute tee shirt from Macy's that I grabbed in the line to the cash register without trying on. When I tried it on at home: not cute on me....especially for the price which I didn't look at (!) until I went to hang it up at home....the store will be busy, but I will brave it....no more impulse grabbing without closer inspection and trying on for me.
I am taking a vegetable platter and dips and a gingerbread cake roll to the barbecue tomorrow. Found a great picture of one that includes more than I usually think of.

Good morning everyone in our "little corner" of the cyber world.

Slept in again this morning. Starting to feel a little rested. Got all the roots dug up and chain-sawed off yesterday. Had no idea that there were that many roots under that shed. When you lift an exposed root, it ran for a long ways with runners coming off the bigger root. Have a big pile laying by the street for pick up next week by the city. Today I will till the area up and get it raked down smooth and hopefully plant the grass seed. Have to figure out a way that I can plant the seed without it going into the garden . My garden hooks next to the area. May lay down a tarp in hopes that that will stop the seed from "floating" into the garden area.

Would also like to clean my house today as it hasn't had a good cleaning since I got home from my "winter home". I've only dusted things but didn't mop the floors. I like for my floors to be clean and not spotted with drops of coffee and such things. Yesterday after I cleaned up, I went to get a drink and started shaking and spilt my drink on me and the floor. So a quick mop up with a paper towel. So those are the kind of thinks I'm talking about.
