Hi everyone.

I am sleeping in a CPM machine to help keep my knee flexible, and 6 hours is all I can stand, so I am up now at 5:30.

No walkers with seats, we were told. Old fashioned kind are much safer, so they said.

John did the laundry yesterday and I am going to try to iron a bit this morning. Not sure I can do it, but will try.

I watch those buying houses shows, too, and I agree. Texas seems to be a pretty good place to buy. California and the east coast, prices out of reason.

Nothing on the agenda worth talking about.

Well I posted my medical update on my post of the 19th. Big surprise. My blood levels are up again. Kinda suddenly. I will be hearing from the Oncologist in charge of my cancer treatments this week. I look forward to this with mixed feelings. I will be having some yucky days. (A friend undergoing treatments now in N.O. recommends sleeping off those days.). But in about 6 months this will be behind me.

No plans for today. We will take whatever the day brings, as it comes.

I also slept in this morning but not as late as some of you...it is 8:25! Kids got in late from the game and are still sleeping. Scott will leave soon after waking to open his pool this weekend. Not much of a visit but we will each other at my sisters in a week. No sun this morning and probably cool morning but it did warm nice yesterday. Set out a hummer feeder since they have been sneaking around to my coral bells...hope he comes back and brings lots of friends. You seem to be making great progress with your knee Elaine. Modern science is a wonderful thing! I bet there are a lot more cures and inventions out there that are hidden away for monetary purposes. Today I will change beds and do laundry. Jon is working a double so I will have entire day to myself once Scott leaves. May even drive out to get my self some lunch then settle in for the Cardinals this afternoon, they lost by the way but if they had had another inning could have pulled it off, and then the Blues this evening. Do not over do with your knee Elaine and Jo always think of you. Happy Saturday! Hope it is a hot and sunny one for all....

Just came on here to see that and you and I are the only ones up on a Saturday morning.

Have had a cup of tea and am ready for another. Haven't decided what I want to do. I'm off antidepressants and am feeling almost like I'm human. I can actually wash the dishes without taking 2 or 3 breaks.

Elaine, don't push it but follow your PTs advice. Do the exercises and you will be surprised how fast you recover. I would mostly read while on the CPM. Slept in my recliner because lying down just wasn't comfortable for me. I have done fine until recently developed a bit of bursitis in the knee. The Ortho checked it very well and said the replacement was still fine. Trying to do PT now for the bursitis.

good rainy morning .

yesterday was such a great day... weather was great , sunny,, warm.. etc.. and I got birthday ed again and again... went out to late lunch/dinner. about 2. at the bestest Italian place ,( that serves everything ).. with Michael.. delicious. I got to see all four granddaughter. ..all four of my kids.. Donna brought me TWO carrot cakes... One for just me. ( to slice and freeze) and one to serve last night with family..Thank you so much dear niece......... got lovely cards..and many many Happy birthdays from friends... was a great birthday... except for the number ...

Glad the knee is doing well.

today a bit quieter day planned.. its wet out. guys are going to the library ... big tent sale of books today... David wants to get stocked up ..he and Mike can do that while I catch up in the kitchen ..

Good Morning. Rainy & cool here, but yesterday was beautiful.

Yesterday I spent the morning in the kitchen baking. Baking off the ginger snap cookie dough and then made 2 carrot cakes. Got Kathy up and we went to State Farm to sign the needed POA and that turned into almost a 45 min ordeal, but it's now notarized and on it's way to headquarters. Pushed mowed a bit. Forgot what good exercise that was. Corky came home and mowed the rest with the tractor. We know that today was going to be a total loss.

Late afternoon Blaise & I went over to Aunt J's to deliver the 2 cakes (one for her birthday guests and one for her freezer) and a plate of cookies. Had a nice visit with all of them. I LOVE being this close. Becca got home a little after nine, so we watched the rest of the Scandal season I had recorded.

I actually got to sleep in this morning & have been puttering around. Called my friend Debbie who's son was recently dx with Type 1 (LADA) diabetes. Her youngest son has some auto immune disease and is going to take 10 weeks 3 hr/3 days a week OCD classes. She's just so overwhelmed and depressed. She's no longer bubbly. I also put a call into a childhood friend who's son committed suicide right before Christmas. We've been saying we are going to get together, but it's yet to happen. I have time this weekend, so we'll see once she calls me back. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring for me. Becca's getting ready for work and Kathy never came back last night, which is just fine.

Oh get this....the young girl/friend that was with her & Will didn't go for her Juvenile court hearing last week & was real cocky about it. Well she went this week and they threw the book at her big time. She's got an ankle bracelet & has a 9pm curfew for the next 6 months, which is crappy for the summer.

Good Morning, just a quick hello while hubby is on the phone...it is raining here today, so much for that garden planting we wanted to do...bought some burning bushes, clematis and Rose of Sharon bushes yesterday also want those planted...fixed biscuits, gravy, sausage and eggs for breakfast this morning...don't do that often but it sounded good and it did taste good. We are going shopping for the plants for the garden and also need to find what we need to open the pool...so off I go...have a great day one and all..

It really poured last night, thunder, the works. I didn't know until it woke up a dog who woke me up...
Going for an appointment in a few minutes. Pedicures for us later.
I am making a carrot cake for a friend. Her horse got sick and had to be put down yesterday. Her favorite cake and I just can't think of anything else...
Another friend went for jury duty; was selected, but None of the witnesses had shown up by the time the trial was to start. The judge issued bench warrants for all the witnesses and excused the jury, told them they were off the list, they had done their duty, but the witnesses had wasted court time and money! I would not want to be in their shoes...
Gotta run. I will be back later to see what others are doing today. Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning...nothing planned other than a run to the store later today...waiting to see if I get the food assignment list for small group that meets in the morning...if I don't get the list I will just get a container of cinnamin rolls and store bought cookies.
