Good SUNNY Morning! Going to enjoy it today because tomorrow is suppose to be more rain and COLD. Next week supposedly we are FINALLY are going to have some heat.

Yesterday was good. I came home from Bible study dragging butt. I just had no energy or motivation...blah. Becca was off work yesterday, so I ask her if she'd like me to call my SIL and see if they wanted to play cards, so that ended up being our evening plans. I was then going to mix up those TWO batches of cookie dough and it ended up being FIVE kinds since I ask Blaise & Becca what kinds they'd like me to make then I decided to also make Oatmeal Scotchies. I baked off everything but the ginger snaps since they had to chill overnight. Becca took Blaise with her into town, which was nice. Then had to do a quick clean up before my SIL & niece arrived. We had fun playing cards until it was time for them to pick up my other niece from work.

This morning I'm going to bake off those cookies. Need to go to State Farm to sign a paper & have it notarized. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring. Some mowing, I'm sure.

Good morning, all. We have a 50% chance of rain and thunder today and tomorrow. Need the rain but could do without lightening. Things are drying out and easily catch fire. Smoky says only you can prevent wildfires but some of our worst ones were caused by lightening.
Seems no matter where you live there is some kind of natural disaster that we have to learn to live with and protect ourselves as best we can, Saw a couple of fire planes going over yesterday headed south.

The potluck went great yesterday. Not as many people as I would like to see. Left some of the cake for tonight's movie so we have something more to snack on. I took focaccia bread, pound cake, and macaroni salad with shrimp. Some of the people just don't seem able to bring anything for whatever reason so if I can bring a bit more I don't mind. I usually can make something out of nearly nothing.

I have been feeling so GREAT the last few days. Last month I couldn't even drag myself to the potluck. Just took my cake and came back to my nest.
I ran out of antidepressants before I could get the prescription filled but I managed OK for about a week or 10 days but when I staarted them again I jusy flopped. No more of those this week and I'm feeling great. Hope it continues.

Well, I guess that will do for now. Everyone have a good one.

Good morning....the zoo was a lot of fun yesterday...the polar bear was my favorite!!

Headed to the doctor this morning for my allergies..Might have lunch out...I am really wanting tacos...

Good morning everyone.

Today I'm off to the Lake to see if the ground is dry enough to get the shed moved over there Monday. Sure hope the guy can do it Monday as we are to have storms again by Tuesday afternoon. I don't figure the ground will be dry enough to move the camper in by Sunday as it is so much heavier and would sink. But if I can get the shed moved, that at least would be a start.

So I will be missing tomorrow as I don't plan on taking my laptop. I will spend yet another night in the motel. So everyone behave yourselves and I'll "see" you Sunday.

Good Morning, and a good one it is, the sun is shining and it is supposed to be maybe 70 degrees out today....I am going to go buy some flower pots, plants and potting soil...at some point during our many moves I have lost all my flower pots so will start over again..also need to put up my hangers for flower baskets on my front porch post...so I am going to enjoy my day digging in dirt and making some flower pot arrangements...

Supper will be kabobs, bought the peppers, onion, pineapple and chicken, need to get the chicken in a marinade and ready to go on the sticks...will make rice to go with it...just that kind of day..looking forward to getting the garden planted this weekend also, so will buy my plants today while I am at the greenhouse..

Have a wonderful day and weekend, just in case I don't get back here...sometimes with hubby home he throws me off my schedule...best get use to it, he will retire at the end of the year..

Looks damp out again but much warmer. Sierra and Scott are heading to the ball game and he will be here around noon. She wants to go early to go to the Cardinal shop for a 'special' shirt so his getting here early gives me a minute to visit. Hope they get in a dry game. One day of sun is just not fair. The vegetable stand is open for the season and Jon just loves it but to me it is food to be cooked. And besides nothing is in season yet so everything has been brought in from somewhere But I did buy some small potatoes and green beans and this weekend will make the guy a big pot of green beans and potatoes (didn't I just say that?) It was always a favorite of my boys and their father...I use tomato sauce and bacon but know others just use the bacon...hey we are Italian and use tomato sauce on everything and then add a drop of asiago. I also want to put an e at the end of tomato and the computer keeps correcting it. Yesterday after ball practice Jon brought in Drew's game schedule and our rooter shirts. Shirts are his team color with his name and number on the back. Sierra and I will join his mother and her crew and cheer the boy on. Sierra went to practice last night and commented that he wasn't hustling...she says she cracked up when his mom leaned over and said that is because his jeans are to tight. I know I know they are to tight but I guess she and I were of the same mind and just did not want to buy him jeans this close to summer. He has gotten chunky so is either going to grow or just be chunky. Sometimes he is such a slug and sometimes you have to sit on him to get a minutes attention. His schedule will kill us all the month of June...14 games. He has several in May but the entire season will be played in June. With some weeks 3 games in a row my rooter shirt could get a little stinky in the hot evenings I am expecting, anticipating, wanting, needing, I must have heat...gosh I sounded a little needy there for a minute. So back to baseball..he is also traveling. Long month ahead. Sierra stayed last night and wants to run for her pay check and I need to get some groceries in so best get movjng and shower so I am ready and only have to wait for her to primp and we need to do all this before noon but I may leave a key in the mailbox. Blues lost but Cardinals won. Not looking to good for my Blues. But for now I will stop with the gibber and say happy Friday and hoping each and every one of us has a hot, dry weekend ahead!!

Today will be sunny and windy, should get to 93°.

I didn't get the promised call from the nurse yesterday. Guess I'll call her today. I'd like to get my V-B treatments started. Want to bet it won't be before Monday? If the medics themselves had my diagnosis, you wanna bet they wouldn't make themselves wait? 🙄

So...nothing much going on here. I think E wants to mop floors today, so I'll be spending a chunk of time in the bedroom while he does that. I'll take my Kindle.

Maye, I'm sure you are going to have a fun day today.....maybe a fun weekend! 💐 Enjoy yourself!

I love those moments of family surprise entrances!
Much cooler, even chilly,Mathis morning. It was windy last night and everyone slept under the covers. I am glad I didn't put say my quilt or down comforter. I am going to bite the bullet and take the comforter to the cleaners and then buy a duvet cover which will be much easier to wash and keep clean.
I am excited over the blueberry picking today. Freezer jam or regular jam...haven't decided yet, but that comes first, then cobbler or scones...I sent enough money to get twice the amount of last year.
We are grilling chicken this weekend, too. I have a marinade I found in a Home Ec teacher's cookbook ( those fundraiser types.). Kalbi sauce...I will post it in the Kitchen thread.
I have been slowly dieting now for a year! I have lost 41 pounds and have changed my thinking that any diet that takes a year to lose 41 pounds is just too slow...totally how I used to think.
Our fruit stands have opened, but the farmer's market doesn't start until next month. Blackberries will be out and they are a favorite jam, too.
School will be out June 2 this year, because it will start up again (ready for this?) August 8th!!! Who knows why? June traditionally cools down a little and August is the oath we all post pictures of our 114+ temperatures! My kids always insisted on going swimming as soon as school got out and the city pool opened, but the first few weeks of June were always 60's and overcast.

Elaine, kudos and high 5's for getting up and using that Walker. I watched friends of ours on HGTV on House Hunters buying a home in the Houston area ( The Woodlands, Tx.). I think Texas has a lot of house for the dollar.
All your cook g and baking sounds yummy! I made oven fried chicken yesterday, so leftovers with coleslaw tonight.

Elaine, been there done that. And yes walkers are a blessing when one needs one. I have kept Buddy's old one and did use it when I had my knee done and who knows might need it again. Do you have one with a seat?

Paula, I watch HGTV too and have noticed that buying a house in one area where you get a LOT for your money and others that you pay huge some for for a hovel almost. Area counts. Texas seems a good place to move to.

Not much going on here today but will get a hair cut this afternoon as I am getting quite shaggy. Just have to walk down the all to the beauty shop. Lots of outside people use Wendy too as she is so good at cutting hair.
