  • Good Sunday Morning

    Good morning everyone.

A new month starts as we wonder where the time is going. Hope that the "old saying" of April showers is just that , and doesn't run over into May.

Pat, not sure if I'll be going back to the Gulf area as I only have a certain amount of money to spend each year, and I've already spent half of it already. Bought the camper and joined a private Lake area membership with a lot that I had to do some work on before I can use it.

Today is Church. Since I cooked ham and beans and made the cornbread yesterday, I don't have to cook when I get home. It makes it nice to just come home and "nuke" my meal.

Everyone have a Blessed Day and be good to someone.

Good rainy May 1st morning to you Jostoy and all to follow...yes we sure have had the rain here also, but nothing like Elaine in Texas is getting or many other areas...
We braved the rain yesterday evening and went to the annual West Milgrove Fire Dept. fish fry, it is our rural fire dept. which we love to support, the fish is always so good, but standing in line and moving slowly to get inside was a bit damp and chilly...we did some errands yesterday, found a battery for the tractor, also bought a new mattress...the bad part is they will not take the old one because of the 'bed bug' thing that has gotten so out of hand...I understand it, BUT, now we have a bigger problem and because of said problem they are really hard to even give away. Guess I will figure it out.
Jo your 'magical fruit' dinner sounds good, but with this darn Crohn's I have to be really careful when and how I eat that.
I am thinking I will make a roast, carrots, potatoes, onions today, sounds soothing on yet another rainy, damp day.
Lots of love, hugs and prayers for those here that are needing them...
Hope everyone finds at least one reason to smile today...
    Have a great day...
Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

Good Morning, on this beautiful May Day!

Things running fairly smoothly here after all the craziness. John and I installed the undercabinet light, and a friend came and installed the soap dispenser. We should be good to go in the kitchen (I hope).

My only complaint today is that these calves have been penned up for 3 days now, and these mommas are about to drive me nuts with their mooooooooing. Guess we will have another day of it today.

Well, the Rangers are doing well. Hope that continues today. Would so much rather watch a winning game than the other way round.

Hope you each have a beautiful day. Hugs to Everyone.

        Morning all

Chris and I both have the day off so we are planning a beach day. I'm about to hustle into the kitchen and whip up some ham sandwiches and deviled eggs for a mini-picnic. Also going to bake some cookies and throw in some malted milk M&M's that Chris bought for me at Easter.

Erin is still at Turd's, so we have the day to ourselves.

Jostoy - you could always take your camper down for the winter.

The heck with cleaning house today! It's a beach day!

        Y'all have a good 'un!

Good dark, rainy morning from here

so happy to see smiling fingers already here .. it isn't that cold but Donna and I are getting frantic needing SUNSHINE!..

Jostoy ,,, you are eating my hubby favorite meal!.. I like it too. but I am prone to gas.. so I load up on good cornbread.... want to share your recipe .? or do you get a box mix?... I don't care which because lately my own recipe is not tasting good to me... I know my Taster has changed in the last few years.. so will experiment with new recipes.

Sharon.. someone should tell the fish fry folks to set up tables. and let people be seated. Have volunteers become servers!.. young people are great at that.. thats what our church does during Lent..

Elaine, I have heard the mooooooing sound.. as a kid I always wanted to run out and let the calves loose. ..

David was "sick" through the night... with the "runs".. had me up worrying with him. made him very weak . finally I just stay up in recliner for an extra hour until I was sure he was finally asleep.. so will planning a long nap this afternoon... I will push water at him all day to re-hydrate..

          HI to you all..

Justy. just keep posting lady so I don't worry about you

          Hi Paula.

          Sassygirl. you oK?
Bethina.. hope your day is a great one.

Good morning...My retreat was absolutely awesome! So refreshing...I was tired when I got home last night...I think the first time I fell to sleep was around 7. Then I was up for a bit in the night...and back to sleep slept til this morning..still not feeling totally rested..

My meeting on Friday was not great...I am/was pretty close to not being able to keep my job.. I have a new job coach that will start working with me tonight...My job coach I had didn't really know what she was doing..did a lot of work for me or with me that shouldn't have happened. Thank God that I get a fresh start with a new job coach..

My parents are here until Monday or may be Tuesday..I haven't really gotten any one on one time with them as I have been busy the entire time they have been here...hoping to get some one on one time tomorrow. They will be going to my sisters church this morning..I am going to my own small group. my choice..then I will have lunch with friends at small group...and work today from 4-8

Unsure of what plans I may have between church and work other than rest for work...

              Good morning!
Boffler, our trash company allows one big item a year, like a mattress, to be picked up. That is how I got rid of my old mattress a couple of years ago. Call yours and ask?
Beautiful, but still breezy here. Yesterday was Windy! Like whip your hair over your head windy! Becky wore hers in a pony tail and I just carried my comb in my purse and quickly used it inside every store...kind of tacky, but the alternative was not a good look!
I accomplished my shopping To Do list and all my laundry. Also got my three bags of donation stuff to the yard sale house. Everything else I come across is being donated to the local hospice store.
A beach day sounds so good, Pat! I will finally get to see a Gulf coast beach in November in Tampa. Northern Ca beaches are pretty, but rustic. And not for swimming.
I have church and then this afternoon a First Communion celebration for a daycare school girl. I asked Val ( via Facebook) what an appropriate gift would be and was able to get a pretty necklace. It has a little mustard seed enclosed in a clear heart and a tiny scripture on a tiny charm. I actually had something like that growing up.
Since this is an Hispanic family, pretty sure there will be some yummy food! But it's about Stephanie, right? I keep telling myself that...
Ok, I have rambled on. I need Time for make up...I could go without, but that is just too cruel for anyone facing me
Have a great day! Hope the sun shines on it!

Computer went into vigilante mode this morning and would not let me open anything for fear it would be tracked. Golly a big brother computer!...doesn't it know someone has been watching me ever since I turned on my first computer or opened my first bank account? Big brother does not bother me as long as the computer lets me open my own email. Prom last night so I was on line looking at all the pretty pictures. I am almost glad Sierra is past that because I always found it to be a worry when she was out with kids in cars. Both grands are to be here to go fishing with their dad then grill for supper. Sierra would rather watch the hockey game with me this afternoon but would never say so to her dad. Maybe luck will go her way and the skies will open up. Been raining and stormy all weekend. A doozie went by us late yesterday afternoon...we got no rain out of it but a lot of lightning and thunder and cloud contortions. Better go shower and dress..I spent so much time trying to get around the computer protecting me this morning I am really running late and I did have to look at the prom dresses on face book and read the comments first. Back into my sweats for today. I sure did enjoy that summer weather while it lasted..

Hey all! Didn't have time this morning to check in.

Yesterday was good. We did have sunshine most of the morning, but of course when we were heading to go do the concession stand, the sun went in. There was just enough breeze that it was chilly w/o a jacket. We did OK. The first hour was very slow but then it picked up. My brother insisted we take his car because he was so sure that he could hold more....NOT! He did admit that my Fusion held more than his. We had a nice time together. He ask when the next one is, which is June 4th, so I don't know if he's planning on helping me then or not. I think he enjoys doing this as much as I do.

This morning we only went to church, then we headed up to the college to visit Becca and trade her vehicles. We had to get brakes on her vehicle this past week. Two more weeks of school and then she'll be home...for a couple weeks. Then she's moving into the apartment they are renting for next year and commuting to her new job from there which will only be about 15 minutes vs the 45 minutes it would take from here. The job is her internship that she needs. Shortly I'll be taking Blaise to the movie theater to see Jungle Book with the Kidz Club group from church. This is their final gathering until Fall. I may come home and take a nap or might mix up some cookie dough.

                  Have a good one all!

                    Happy May Day. 😄

Yesterday we stayed up late to watch an extra PBS Murder Mystery. We keep forgetting it's not just an hour's show, it's closer to 1-3/4 hours.......so we didn't get to bed til midnight.
I still woke at 1, 2, 3, 4, then 6. Thanks, Lacix! Not! But I have been reading and checking mail for 3 hours. I still haven't gotten dressed. Just don't feel like it.
Oh, I have to send E out to the driveway to get our newspaper.

Today will be 76 & sunny, going to &0 and the low/mid-90's this week. But the day I have to visit my surgeon, on Friday, it's back under 80 again. Also the CC building is one of the hospital's coldest. Just my luck.

Sounds like you all have your plans for today in place. We just go with the flow on days like today.
Have a great day, whatever you do, wherever you go.
