Time to get the day started. Put some ribs in the crackpot. Hauled to the road some old rugs for the trash pickup. So far so good

Yes, thankfully, I am WAY better today. I must have had some kind of 24-hour bug, because I ran a fever, threw up, and had the Big D. Afterward, I felt wrung out - so I spent the day at home, mostly on the couch. I did do a few easy chores, because who can stay at home and NOT do chores?

TGIF - it's my weekend off and we are off to Biloxi/Mobile early tomorrow morning. We will have lunch at The Chimney's Restaurant in Gulfport, MS (http://www.chimneysrestaurant.com/) courtesy of a gift certificate from my boss from last Christmas. Then we will proceed to the Hard Rock Casino and pick up our free tickets to see Halestorm & Lita Ford. What we will do until the concert is a toss-up since we don't have a lot of $$ to spend.

We will spend the night in Mobile, AL and go to the Bellingrath Gardens on Sunday after breakfast. Then on to visit Chris's parents on the way home.

It's a BADLY needed weekend away. Thank God Turd is behaving and Erin can stay at their house for the weekend!

So I'm gonna get me some coffee - because yesterday coffee was out of the question (and you KNOW I'm sick if I can't drink coffee!). Y'all have a good 'un!

Good morning...Yesterday evening was just crazy and awesome!! Yesterday morning before I could even get ready to go volunteer my supervisor/friend was texting me and wanting to know if I would be willing to go with her to get our nails done...I had never had a manicure...pedicures are not my favorite thing..so I decided sure a manicure sounds like fun...after our day at the center yesterday we needed down time...well it took a little too long or so she said we about 3 minutes from my house at the beauty school where I get my hair cut. She said I had to go with her to the town she lives in to get her son and she would buy my dinner for going with her...I said sure...we had Mexican food and just had fun...then she brought me home..as we pulled into my drive it started raining again...so she took my weekly trash home with her...so that I wouldn't have to go really early this morning to my sisters with it. While she was at my house she told me that one of the staff asked her when she is going to bring me on as Staff. That staff member said she thinks I would be a good addition Feels so good to be appreciated. May be I won't be at Dollar General for ever or for long!

I got my first pay check from Dollar General today..it was about 34 more than I was expecting...come to find out I got time and a half for Easter.

I am going to spend a little bit of the hard earned money today and going to run some other errands..I am really wanting a new Big purse I think. I have not totally decided.

I do know that I have to buy the stuff to make the food to take to my supervisor/friends tomorrow for a cook out.

Good Morning, late start this morning, my right shoulder and arm down to my elbow are hurting so bad, can hardly get myself dressed, LOL this to shall pass eventually, if not, to the Dr. I will go...also have a rash on that arm, at times it itches so bad and hurts at the same time, feels like fiberglass under the skin...WeIRD!!

Not much planned except some grocery shopping and household cleaning...sister will be here on Sunday so trying to plan some food choices..Daughter and family made it back to GA safely and she sent me a picture of the temp in their vehicle along with sunshine, 72 degrees. Bad, bad daughter, lol Well it is 32 degrees here and snow is predicted so my sis might not come...we will see...

Good Morning! Yesterday was rainy & blah and this morning there is snow on the ground.

Yesterday after Bible study, I came home and baked the 2 pies a customer ordered. He's retiring a week from this Tuesday. He said his wife will be calling me because she wants to have a little retirement party for him and KNOWS he loves my pies rather than cake. Kathy went for a job interview at SAMS Club yesterday and was told she'll be having a second interview and orientation as a cashier. YEA!!! Now let's hope this job actually comes through. She DESPERATELY needs a job.

Today will be busy once I get my butt in gear. No school today, so Blaise will be going with me to town. Need to pick up a few more supplies for the mission dinner (Paula...scalloped potatoes w/ham, green beans, cole slaw, bread, drink, and cookies) plus a couple things for the concession stand. I'm going ahead and making the stuff (pot of chili and taco meat) but I'm kind of doubting I'll be going. It's suppose to snow 1-3" tonight be windy tomorrow and a high of 33 degrees. Not a good combo. I'm hoping they cancel the games so I don't feel guilty for begging off. If I do go, it'll be hot dogs, chili, coffee, hot choc, and cookies only.

Drew is off school at noon today and I had wanted to run home to the nursery to look at the new plants that were to come in yesterday. Now they are predicting a hard freeze for either tonight or tomorrow night so maybe we will hold off. Fire pit was finally delivered last evening. Talked with Sierra several times yesterday after we met for lunch...humm..she is being very nice and decent and so I guess she is getting ready to drop another shoe on us thank you mommy dearest. If things are going well then mommy will stir things up..it's her gift. Finally a sunny morning but in the 30s warming to the 50s then the freeze warnings. Good morning, all.
The swelling in my feet is down but it's still swollen. Evenings are the worst, despite keeping feet elevated. I still do what getting around on my own as I can.
Sleeping after 2 a.m. Feels impossible, til maybe 5 a.m., when I manage to conk out for another hour.

Got another box of flowers yesterday. 2 small identical purple flowered plants. Nobody's name on the card. So I emailed the company and am waiting for the gifters name today.

No plans for today. However, I did get an appointment for a haircut tomorrow afternoon. Seems they were booked up solid for 2 weeks. They headed into the 3rd week, and I said I start chemo then. Suddenly there was a cancellation for tomorrow. Funny thing, my hairdresser specializes in services for chemo patients. I let her know a while back what I've been dealing with since the holidays, and that I hadn't quit her.

Well, whatever today brings, it brings.

good mid morning ..

wow, I slept like I had taken a handful of sleeping pills... was asleep before ten .. never woke up until 7ish.. got up , bathroom,, bagel. and set in chair in my Cave and went back to sleep until 9!... lets hope this pays off in energy galore today... so far , i'm zipping around . laundry in washer. kitchen sink area cleaned.. and shining .. still need to mop out there ...... the downstairs got sweepered good after I put away the sewing equitment.. Girl picked up her gown .. and all pins are safely off the floor.. ..... now for a few areas upstairs here. as Donna said... Looked out , SNOW... not on roads but yard, roofs are white. and its cold...

David is making noises about going " somewhere".. maybe for lunch..... think I will offer to make him spagetti,,, still have my homemade sauce ..I hate going out on this kind of cold day.... have salad fixings here too....
we got call his sister is in hospital.. low oxygen levels. difficulty breathing.. not pneumonia ..or lung infection.. probably heart related ...they will monitor in hospital before deciding what the can do.. she is definitely NOT a candidate for heart surgery... she is really heavy and has one lung that is only partial inflated. . so will set by phone.. if necessary , make hasty 2 1/2 hr trip out..

Not busy here but feeling pretty good this morning. I was droopy all day yesterday and only cooked a bit for some dinner and gave Lily a much needed bath and a trim. Needs a bit more trimming, though. She bites at the scissors so I let her go so she could calm down.

Am in the mood for baking, maybe a Lazy Daisy Cake. If I do I will share with some of my neighbors so I won't have to eat it all myself.

It's almost embarrassing to mention but it has been in the 70s and low 80s here although there is rain predicted for tonight.

Beth, that was a wonderful yesterday. Hope you get the new job.

Pat glad to see you're over whatever it was.

Maye, I would stay home if someone made me homemade spaghetti.

JoG, glad to see the swelling is going down.

Donna, your dinner sounds wonderful, as always.
Pat, I am ready for a weekend get away, but it isn't in the forecast. Maybe a weekend without too many errands. I don't have any appointments s heckled for me or the dogs.
I love pedicures, Beth. That may get on my Get To Do list...
Wish I had a good remedy for swollen feet, Jo. I would think having them up all night would do it. Your hairdresser " finding" an appointment for you sounds like a great person.
Boffler, hope you get some answers for that skin issue.
And hope those husbands are on the road to good health...

By all means go see the doctor about that rash, Boffler. Beth could be right about the shingles. If the rash is on one side of your body it could very well be and the itch is painful. I've had shingles, but if you get meds right away it is a big help.

Maye, did you get paid for hemming that dress?

Will make a quick trip to Walmart this morning and buy a Smart phone like the lady at Verizon told me to do. It is much cheaper at Walmart then Buying it from Verizon. Then I will take it to Verizon and have them program it.
