  • Wednesday ~ March 23 ~ Good Morning!

    Hello Out There!

How is everyone this fine morning? Our weather is picture perfect, although somewhat windy.
I'm having to anchor the front porch rug with a heavy vase, otherwise I think it would have traveled to the neighbors.
If anything else has blown away, I don't know (or care).

We ate at Red Lobster on our trip to the dentist yesterday. I really wanted to go to Olive Garden for some pasta, but since we didn't I think I'll try some for lunch today.
Seems I've either lost my touch for making spaghetti sauce or I've lost my taste for it. I just can't seem to get it right anymore.

Well, nothing newsworthy to talk about.
    Have a good day, Everyone.

Good Morning and a good morning it is, hearing all the birds singing outside In the 50's already this morning, they are calling for rain and wind...no problem, I am not leaving the house today.

More paper shredding, files and clutter removal going on, hubby can't believe all these folders I keep handing him. Hey it's his own fault for asking/telling me to keep things... He likes paper bills, says that is part of the cost of having their service so they can send us a bill through the mail...I do agree with that because if your computer goes out of service you are out of luck also. I keep every booklet, paper, info, etc. receipt of anything we buy and overtime some of the things we no longer have...I do keep all the receipts of my amish oak furniture buys, even though the store has it also, I have full coverage on my home owners insurance so I would get the full price of what I paid for it...but a few pieces I have bought from other amish stores in IL. Now starting a 'retirement' folder because he says he is pretty sure he will retire this year, believe it when it happens..

Need to decide on something for supper, such a dreaded chore...I need to start keeping a journal of foods I prepare so when I run out of ideas I can go back to it, LOL...

Nice to see that JoG is home now under the watchful eye of Ellis, pray she continues to improve daily...with a positive attitude that will be sure to happen...

Elaine we had Red Lobster over the weekend, always love their food, when you get good service..

Seems Pat has disappeared for a few days, she needs to stop by and visit and say hello...

And lots of others that would be nice to hear from..almost garden season and this year hubby says he will have me a garden spot, looking forward to it..

Well time to read the news, drink a cup of coffee, get my shower and get my day started...love those paper cuts, NOT!!! Have a great day one and all...smile it makes you feel better, put on some happy music, enjoy life...we only get one...
Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

I'm here. Just not much to say. But I do look in and read what everyone posts.

Erin is on Spring Break - her BF Chloe has been with us since Sunday. Glad they can hang out together. Threw myself a little tantrum when I arrived home from work yesterday and found the kitchen to be a disaster area. Yelled and made them clean it all up.

Not much else going on. Y'all have a good 'un.

The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

Good Morning! The sun is still shining here and it's warm out there. Only needed a light jacket to go out to the bus stop.

Yesterday was good. Went grocery shopping first thing, which I love doing. By the time I got everything unloaded & put away, it was time for Blaise to come home. Was lacking energy for a while, so we took a walk around the property. Cooked a nice dinner then went to my SIL's to play cards with them & my Mom. Fun!

Discovered yesterday afternoon that our little kitty Ophelia is missing. They go in & out so often that you lose track, so I'm not really sure of the last time she went outside. That's the one I just got spayed a month ago. Dang! She's a sweetie and I hope she shows back up.

Today I'm spending it in the kitchen. I've got orders to fill. I've got to bake 3 carrot cakes and 2 doz carrot cake cupcakes, and a couple loaves of banana bread. Becca is coming home today around 4pm and so I'm cooking a nice dinner. Then my SIL & niece are coming here...unless my kitchen is too messy...to play cards this evening. Take advantage of these college kids being home. I love that they want to be around us.

Time to get busy! Have a good one all!

I finally got together with dau,Karen to discuss Easter plans... we are switching dinner to her house this year.!.... after probably 40 plus years of being the Easter hostess I get to go away for the day.... we always share making food.. so will shop for most of my ingredients today.. and I hear one of Donnas carrot cakes will be there ..yummmy.... skip the ham and potatos.. just eat dessert!...

for those of you who post and read in the Games forum one of our moderators , . Ms. Labbasgle's Mother passed away.. so Labb. will be missing for a week or so..

Pat. good for you... mommys should throw tantrums... those two were old enough to know better.!.

Elaine, I would have went with you to Olive Garden . but not Red Lobster ... since I am not a lover of seafood.. the few times I have been ( a captive customer).. I have not enjoyed their food. . now you have made me hungry for O.G.

          better get busy..

Sassygirl ... did you run out of cat pictures?.

            Good morning, friends.
Yes, I'm home. E is my caregiver. His job is cut out for him !!!!!!
My feet/legs are very swollen. It's difficult to get around. We are also dealing with new medical appointments, new drugs, and the scheduling of it all..

Well, We are dealing with it as best we can. The daily wound care and everything ........it's all new for us.......... is #1 on the list. Soooooooooooooooo, it'll be confusing for a while.
So many well-wishers, too. It's going to take some time for all the changes.

            Hugs to all
            JoGee

Good Morning, 35 years ago today I became "Mommy" for the first time, can't believe that it has been that long. A girl I went to school with was also there and gave birth the day before. Back then there were no single rooms so when I got a room mate it was kind of sad, her husband had been killed in a car accident in Dec and she was telling the baby how much her daddy had been looking forward to meeting her here on earth, but knew he had met her in heaven. She also had an daughter that was a toddler.

                  Good Wednesday morning!
Yesterday afternoon a school girl came who didn't feel good enough for school. Her mom said allergies,, but I didn't see anything...except a girl who wanted to not be in school. I am just a bit irritated because she woke up her toddler brother, wasted tons of Kleenex, and left full water cups all over. ( I know: I sound whiny.). But the mom just texted me to ask if she could come again! I said ok, but I did tell her I thought she was ok to go to school from what I say yesterday afternoon.
There's always something...no matter how many years I have been doing this, new kids mean new issues.
It is a beautiful day and I am moving forward!
And, that Kenalog shot I got for my allergies, really has worked! No sneezing ( I would wake the baBy up), no hacking and No miserable sinus headaches!
                  I totally recommend it!
So happy to see Jo home and posting!
Pat, did the girls at least make something yummy?
Hope we all get through the day with smiles intact! That is my goal!

Good morning, all. Yes, I'm back. My knee replacement has been acting up so that some days I can barely walk. Saw the Dr. last week and he made an appointment with the Orthopedic Dr. but I can't get into his office until 21st of next month. It got so bad Sunday I called my Dr. again on Monday to see what I should do that I hadn't already done. He can't see me till next Wednesday.
I finally called my niece, Carla, to ask her to come and do my laundry. She will come this afternoon. Such a sweetheart to do so much for so many.

                      Enough whining.
I'm glad to see JoG is home and recovering. Have ready what Ellis had to say. Seems to be a person with a good sense of humor.

Pat, I didn't see anything about Hamburger Helper but I do know what you mean. I bought a package over 40 years ago and nobody in the family liked it, especially me. Haven't bought one since.

Gotta go. Just ~~~~~~~to all and wish you great day.

                        Aloha all!

Good to see Jo posting and home. Much better being home then the hospital.

Paula, can't understand why that mother dumped her 12 year old on you and did not send her to school. If she did have something she would infect the others. I would make her clean up her messes.

Speaking of messes I remember blowing my cool at Patty one time and a friend of hers who really messed up my kitchen baking all sorts of things. Made them clean it up too. So you aren't alone on having a tantrum, Pat.

Waiting (about 3 hours now) to be able to use my Ipad again. Just hope I can get the email changed.

                        Have a nice day all!
