  • Jo/Mom/Aunt/Grandma's Medical Adventure Phase II - the end is in sight

    At last it seems the end is near.
    The patient is doing well.
    She doesn't need to rehab go,
    So doctor's orders tell.

    A PT nurse gave therapy.
    An exercise or two.
    The patient followed very well,
    Until each step was through.

    She walked around with little aid.
    Her fluids flowing fine.
    She got real food for the evening meal.
    On potatoes she did dine.

    They say a day or two or three,
    And homeward she can speed.
    With me as nurse and PCT,
    And doing a housekeeper's deed.

    I think I'm supposed to be glad.😅

    If this is a new email for you, one of the previous ones was quite long so I finished with, "Next a novel." The subject of that one was "It was a dark and stormy night" so I proposed maybe an opera next. So of course I had to borrow from Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance and do a parody on 'the modern major general' using "She is the modern marvel of a patient out of surgery." Of course that required this one to be a poem.

      Home... that will soooo great! NO ONE gets any rest in a hospital!
      The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

        Great news, as long as she doesn't push herself when she gets home.

            So glad to hear she may be heading home, great news for both of you...Attitude is a big part of healing and they both seem to have a good one...Prayers that things 'run' smoothly.
            Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

              I Was going to say the same thing, Boffler!
              Ellis has as great an attitude as Jo, and I am sure he will not let her do anything other than what the medical guys order.
              Love be to you both!

                  I thought today glitched my plans. Whatever could go wrong last night, did! Including both sacs falling off.
                  And yet today brought the plans back into order. We should get home tonight around supper time.
                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                  Create a beautiful day wherever you go.
