That's right, Cookie. The only food I've had here so far is a 6 oz bowl of chicken broth. There was a hint of promise I'd get the Boost Berry Clear tomorrow.

Yes Paula, half the card arrived. But being fairly good at various kinds of puzzles, I could make out what was missing.
And yeah, the newer doctors are very young looking. There seems to be a program with a high protein diet plus a total makeover (hair, makeup, etc.). Just what we need, narcisstic doctors. They look like models, skinny as willows.

The ones in the program are not necessarily make the efficient docs, but their smiles make you hope there's beauty-osmosis.

E is here helping me get my needs done, plus keeping the room in place sensibly. And the a/c is too chilly. Most of my IV Connections are leaky, too ---- but nobody gets that done. Somehow the questions and requests just don't get answered. If they bought the stuff in an acquarium store instead of medical supplies, they'd save $250.00!

Well, I'll be here a while longer yet. Fighting the infections and getting things healed doesn't happen overnight. But if I can avoid lacex I'll behappy. If not, they're on cleanup duty not me. 😄 I can do the walking and most of helping myself, as I'm starting to do again, I'm doing good. Have to force myself to using that breathing exercise toy.
For what it's worth, no food tomorrow yet, either. I'm getting good meds though. 😳

Jo I have been following your post...you should ask E to bring you an adult coloring book at colored pencils or markers. Maybe it would help pass the time.

Hi Beth,
Thank you. I have received 2-3 coloring books and pencils/crayons. Perhaps I should choose one, but the tops on the carts are strained. I do have various things to keep me busy....types of exercises that I have to master to keep my strength up. Juggling life while attached to the mighty IV stand. Some days I need to call the nurse just to pick up all the things that have slipped to the floor.

So I need to keep stuff awfully basic here. My iPad is my game board(s), my Kindle, my emails, etc.
despite all the Asian workers here (and about every race), there are no Feng Shui decorators, and no sense to how we are supposed to keep things orderly.
Oh, and I think there's a new coloring book app available.

Not Sure how Feng shui your window is ( probably hard to set it a hospital) but I read a report a long time ago about the healing help of trees outside to look at.
So, I think your mountain view would work just as well. If not, I "see" my favorite view when I close my eyes.
On days when the kids are kind of grumpy or sleep deprived or recovering from their weekend ( today it is all three), just looking out my big window to the trees budding out helps me maintain my calm!

Trees....in AZ...????? If you look out the window, it's just brown mountain tops to the east..
However, there's a post in front of the window, and the head of the bed abuts the post.
I haven't caught the sunrise there yet.

Of course we plant trees, etc, in our yards. But the view is craggy mountain tops. Some days the sun shines reddish or yellowish, and the mountains look more interesting. But average days give you blah brown on these mountains. 🏜
