  • Hi from Me

I'm quite a sight, hooked up to wires and tubes of various kinds though. Red lights that beep, green lights that dispense Medicine and the cases at the end of of the bed. They took away most of the tubes. But now I have the dubious joy of C-Diff.
My Phoenix girls came to see me. Before the infection. Well... Hospital schedules are doing round. Will close for now, and email when I can.

Amazing.....I've been on a water-diet all this time at the hospital. I gained 20 lbs!
This mornings nurse ran off without returning my nurse button and my Med light button to where I could find them.
        I hate days like these.
Am glad to have the tunes out of my face, but now have extra in my drip line.

Looking forward to E arriving. He will open the shutters on the window here. I have a little window, and there's a post between it and my bed. It gives a small view of of a mountain peak.

Looks like my exercise massagers will be my exercises now. With C-diff, I don't see me walking around the floor at all.
Got to go, as schedulesbegin today. 👋

Jo, so happy to see you here, I love Ellis's reports but just not the same as seeing you post yourself. Big hugs to you and your continued recovery.

                Thanks, my friends.
I enjoy reading your comments as I get the chance to.
Ellis likes to give he up-to-date info, more on the technical side of things. His humor in parts might get lost in the technicalities.
I'm sharing the patients side of life here. Some days are better than others, afternoons better than mornings.

Oh, gee, I was hoping for 1/2 hour of peace, but here come the nurses again. .......l.l,

Thanks, Paula. And thanks for the card you sent. I received half of it today. (And USPS wonders why business is dropping off?). I got the gist of the message, and that stamp! I love it!
You gals help me to keep an eye on my goal here.

....true to form, here comes another nurse...

JO .. laughing out loud..... when David was in ICU after heart surgery .. I spent all day in the room with him. and it was a steady stream of nurses. or social people or therapy people.. he was so tired and wanted to sleep .. so one afternoon .I would not let them in the room...only the nurse with meds.... and he got about 3 hours good sleep..some came back . he said nights were almost as bad.. soo tell Ellis anyone who just wants to know what you want for dinner can wait..thank him for the technical updates. . .... it is good to have you chatting with us... sure lifts my spirits.. .

                        I know the feeling, Maye.
I think they were short staffed last night, but it didn't slow them down much. Often midnight to 3a.m. is uninterrupted, but you can't count on it.
I'm sure it's sleep-in time for E today. I'm going to try to get unhooked from these massagers and get to a chair.
I can't work the lights in here and am tired of the dark.

My nurse today is the first one that my niece trained. Interesting coincidence.
Doctors should be due on their rounds within the hour, I think.

                              Half a card!?
But good you got the stamp half! I bought two of the Harry Potter sets; they are in a booklet and I am now using the second set and Only for good personal mail!
Crazy, I know, but it's the little things that keep me going. I wonder who we talk to in order to get the USPS to make a Downton Abbey set of stamps?
                              Love reading your posts!
Are the ICU doctors there as Young as the ones here? I couldn't believe it when some teenaged Suoerman tee shirt wearing kid was Gary's intensive care specialist!
And when he went down to Stanford for the tracheotomy, that doctor was a very young looking Indian woman.
So, enough from me and hope you have another good progress day!
