  • Friday ~ February 26

    Good Morning.

For a short month, February has seemed to last forever. Guess it's because everything is out of kilter.

Nothing happening. It has been cold enough, but because of Sharon't advice, I won't let John build a fire. Sure would feel good, tho.

Have a good day, Everyone, and stay warm.

    Morning all

Exciting morning here - was sitting at my desk working and heard sirens coming our way. Looked out the window and watched THREE Sheriff's dept. vehicles going in to the resort across the street, followed shortly by two EMS vehicles, the local volunteer fire dept. and the fire inspector. Walked down the front of our property (being nosy) - noticed an unmarked police vehicle patrolling and decided I'd best get back inside if they were looking for someone. I came back inside and locked the office door!

Shortly thereafter, all emergency vehicles left - the ambulance had the lights on and was followed by a private vehicle, so I'm sure someone went to the hospital. We may never know what happened unless it is reported on the local news.

It's my weekend off, but we are supposed to go to Pensacola to attend Chris's granny's birthday party - however, she was taken to the hospital Wed. night with pneumonia, so it may be cancelled or postponed - we won't know until tonight.

Otherwise, our life is pretty boring - just like we like it

    Y'all have a good 'un!
The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

      Good morning to you.
We are leaving today to visit with the girls in Phoenix for the weekend. Son's family is too busy to see us. He has a popcorn business, and the weekend has some big sports event going.
E & I decided to not tell the kids anything about my condition until next weekend, after I've had my MRI and talked with the surgeon. We will have a clearer picture of things at that time, of what's happening and what will be done.

Other than that, life around us is pretty much as usual.

Elaine, maybe if you bake something, it'll heat up the house.
Pat, that was a lot of excitement going on there.

To all, have a great day. ☕️

Good Morning, a very cold one, but then again it is February, it just has teased us with such nice weather, but then again until April I really never get to excited about nice weather and flowers blooming.

Pat, sure was a lot of action, but I'm with staying inside if I don't know what is going on, never know when a crazed gunman could be on the lose. Like you said, someone went to the hospital but why? Sorry to hear about Chris' Granny, we have been dealing with that this week also, only a Grandpa.

Elaine, so sorry that I have ruined your warmth winter, But was only trying to help you and John get better...did you talk with the Dr. about it? Did he think having fires could also hinder his recovery? I know how good those fires feel, I miss them also, but do not miss what it did to my lungs..even though it was a wood burning insert and not an open flame I saw what it did to my curtains, and the stuff that would fly around when we put the wood in, and also the oxygen it took out of the air...I loved the constant warmth and watching the glow when all the light were out...but I enjoy my health a lot more without it..Hope John continues to improve.

JoG, what news did you get that was not good? Thinking of you.

My hubby's Grandfather is 90 will be 91 next month, is having a problem with gallbladder and liver, the Drs. are so indecisive on what and how they want to do things, a stone was hung in the bile duct yesterday and he turned so yellow, hubby went there most of the day yesterday, they are keeping him but not thinking about surgery until next week. So guess we will be heading down to the hospital this weekend..he has a lot of spunk for a man his age..

Having a few friends over this morning to give them their Christmas gift and treat them to lunch, they are the ones that take care of my kitties when I go away, want to let them know how thankful I am and show my appreciation. I do pay them $20 a day when they do it, but going above and beyond will let them how truly grateful I am..

Well off to get myself busy and get this day started.

Love, hugs and prayers for all of you..

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

          Good morning...where is Pumpkin?

I am done taking care of the cats and snake....will go up in a bit and give max his fresh veggie...fancy lettuce today..he seems to like that the best...My sister and her family will pick him up tonight after 10....I tried to get them to come in the morning and go to breakfast...they have a meeting or something at church...I do wish they would wait until tomarrow and not come so late tonight...oh well.

Plans for today...paper work so I can fill out a job app...applying for a part time stockers job at a craft store really close to home...its part time...early morning...so it would allow me to volunteer some still...I really don't want to give that up and wish they had a position open for me to fill but they don't. Volunteering yesterday was good compared to Monday...we didn't have quiet so many people there

              .
Good morning, all. It is showing sure signs of Spring again today. The morning bird chorus is about to begin. I heard a Purple Finch singing when we went out a bit ago. We have a lot of birds here because so many Have feeders out.
Sis is coming to take me shopping today. I would have preferred going tomorrow but today is OK. I have one teabag left and was planning to use today's twice but can have a fresh one after all.

The firehouse is right across the back street fro us. I can see it from my porch. I think our residents are their most frequent customers. They seem to be here at least once a week and often more. Usually followed by an ambulance but not if it's just someone who has fallen and can't get up. No sirens when they come over here. Otherwise there would be a whole flock of people getting in the way.

Pat if there were that many responders, it must have been serious.

Ladyebug, sorry to see that you can't have a wood fire but it really can effect the lungs so be patient. Maybe later.

JoG, I hope they have a good plan in progress and can get it fixed quickly.

Beth, hope you get the job. I would like working in a craft store.

boffller, hi, you're always so busy I can't keep up with all that's going on.

All in Midwest, just saw a weather map and it looks like you're in for a big one. Brrr.

                    Good morning!
Pat, that is the kind of xcitement I will pass. I have locked down the daycare a few times and now just prefer to keep the back doors locked all the time. I love it when my law enforcement dads drive up in their marked cars . Hope it sends a good message...
I am making a dessert for the funeral tomorrow. And taking those frozen peanut butter and jelly Uncrustables for the youngest.
Jo, thanks for keeping us in the news loop about your health. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts coming your way!
Baby is crying...have a good day!
Did I say we gave up our wood stove and fireplace use because of Gary's asthma?

Good Afternoon! The sun is shining beautifully, but it is down right frigid out there.

Yesterday just wasn't a very productive day. My get up & go just high tailed it out of here. I was laying on this thing that Corky has that helps relieve neck & head pain. Well Blaise decided to walk over me and his foot tripped over my nose and sent my glasses flying. I thought he broke my nose, but he didn't. Later we noticed two big scratches going from btw my eyebrows up my forehead apparently from my nose pieces of my glasses. Looks like I'm scowling. Late afternoon I got a call from the Endocrinologist's ofc and she wanted me to come right in early this morning to go over my sugar levels that I faxed in earlier in the week.

Got Blaise on the bus and headed right now to the doctor's ofc. She's adjusted my units...how much & when. Too many highs & lows. My original plan for today was to go to the phone company and return the box that I used when I had them for my TV. So I cut way across the countryside to get there after my doctor appt. There is a new Aldi's now there, so I went there afterwards. I got home about 10 minutes before Blaise got off the bus. Whew!

Not sure what the rest of the day will bring. In the mood for some mac salad I think.

WOW Pat...that is excitement! ((((Jo)))) Praying for you my friend. I do suggest you tell your kids. I'd be upset with my Mom if she didn't tell me. It's their prerogative to worry, pray, and be there for you.

                      Have a good one all!

                          Aloha all!

((((((((((((((JO))))))))))))) Yes, you must tell your kids. They deserve to know and can be a big help to you.

So glad for your good news about David, Maye. What a relief for you and your family too.

My goodness, Pat, what were you thinking about going out and check. Glad you went back inside and locked the door. Scary business that.

Donna, hope they can adjust your meds so you feel better.

Nothing much going on here but at least it's a beautiful day.

Have a good rest of the day all!
