Good Morning, where is everyone this fine morning?

Looks to be a nice day, but they say starting tomorrow that will change, first rain then on Thursday possibly snow...it is February after all...just because we had some 60 degrees days doesn't mean it is spring time yet...I just go with the flow..

Just fixed myself a breakfast sandwich with my breakfast sandwich maker, love that thing. Now while it cools a bit I will start the morning post. Will get out and about today, just need to get out of the house for some retail therapy, nothing in particular in mind, just browse and see if anything strikes my fancy..I am not a shopper so it probably won't last long.

Hoping everyone has a great day...the world is our oasis, let's enjoy it.

Good morning....I am not sure that I want to volunteer 6 AM-2 PM again for a while...it was not as much fun as I thought it would be more....trying than anything but I am glad that I was there...my being there allowed the staff to help others...but while they were away helping the gentleman that needed help....2 of the younger ladies started crying for attention..then 2 of the other younger individuals would not listen to any of us and were antagonizing each other! The one was very loud and in tears most of the time...at one point I was sitting up near this man that always does puzzles...because it was atleast a little stress free at this table....slowly but surely we got a table full. Mostly of individuals just needing a break from the crazyness.

A bus of some sort will be picking me up at 815 to go volunteer again this morning...My sister set it up for today and Thursday before she left on vacation.

Plans for the day after I finish my volunteer hours is to tackle the kitchen. Its a mess and mom would not be happy if she saw it...

Hi Sharon ,,I could have been here a long time ago...but moving in slow motion... no pressing appointments. or task to do today...assigned myself the job of giving this "cave" a thorough dusting , vacuuming. and organizing some of the papers, books laying everywhere...would be nice to spend some time in a neat clean room.... but then I would wonder where I put everything..!. so is it worth it?.. Yes!...

sure wish I had a cook..but since that ain't happening ..God was good and gave me a husband who is not a picky eater.. but I better lay something out to thaw ...

Good Morning, Friends.

Raining here and chilly. A good day to stay in.

John had his bone marrow biopsy yesterday. He did great! We were gone from home 5 hours, but 2 of those were traveling there and back. The actual procedure was 10 minutes, but add preparation and recovery time. The had him in "twilight" sleep. They do it in x-ray dept in a machine like a MRI. He never felt a thing and isn't even sore where they went in. Now we wait for a week for results.

John is not picky about anything, but he asked for a steak for lunch, so I've already been to the freezer. Easy lunch.

Good SUNNY Morning! Going to soak it up because cold dreary weather is coming back tomorrow.

Yesterday was good. I went to town first thing to go to the bank & Aldi's. When I got home, there was a phn msg from the restaurant...he ordered 2 pies, a carrot cake, & 2 Choc PB rolls. He wanted it that afternoon if possible. Well I had already baked 2 carrot cakes & they were in the freezer naked, so took one out to thaw. Just had to make the icing & decorate it. I already had pie shells made & in pans in the freezer, so took them out & filled them. While the pies were baking, I made the fluffy choc PB filling for the rolls. Got those made after the pies were done. I had it all delivered by 1pm. He hasn't ordered for the last 2 weeks because he bought frozen desserts for the Valentines Day weekend and had enough leftover for last week. I was surprised he ordered so early in the week, so maybe some of the regular customers requested the homemade stuff. I also took him a big chunk of the hummingbird cake for them to taste and hope they order that sometime.

Corky's hours got cut to just 8 starting yesterday, so he was out of work by 3:30pm. I had to meet him at the car dealership so he could drop off his car for repairs today. Got home, had spaghetti for dinner, then it was time to take little kitty to the vet to get spayed. She had to stay the night. We had to be there while she got her shots. The doctor had zero personality. Probably won't be going back to him. Kathy cried when she got her shots....oh plz! The cat didn't cry. Anyways, I'll be picking her up after we get done picking up Corky's car after work.

Not sure what today will bring. Think I'll take a bit and find the desk top underneath all this paper. Always some laundry and cleaning to do. Can't go anywhere though. Not that I do every day, but it's nice to know that's an option. Making asparagus pasta & chicken drumsticks for dinner. Asparagus prices are going down since it's coming into season.

Good morning, all. It must be Spring. I noticed the Forsythia bush near my Apt. is starting to bloom and the Narcissus is almost done. Will watch for A Flowering Quince and if I can find one I may plant it nearby.

Today is major kitchen cleaning. Need to mop and sort in there. It is so tiny that it takes almost nothing to mess it up.

Elaine, glad to see that John's test went to well and I hope the results show nothing but good.

Cookie, asparagus sounds good to me but haven't had any yet this season. Last time I went to the store it was $2.99 per lb. Will not pay that much for something that grows about 70 miles away.
One of the ladies here that I have become friendly with is having a birthday on the 1st. I will make her a carrot cake and think I will decorate it with little carrots.

Beth, where are you volunteering? It sound very stressful.

Good Morning, have been sleeping quite a bit, Dr gave me Lyrica for the diabetic foot pain and one of it's side effects is it makes you sleep. I had done some research on what all they prescrbe for this and it had the least problems and ones that I can deal with, the sleeping is just a matter of my body adjusting (which most people said it takes about a week). I can handle that since I'm not waking up in a panic thinking the house is on fire because my feet are burning and I don't feel like I'm walking through thorns everytime I take a step.

Elaine so glad John is doing better and praying for good results on his test. Aunt Maye praying that David will continue his improvements.

So envy you ladies who don't have picky eaters, mine will make the comment "You eat whats cooked or don't eat" but if he doesn't like whats cooked he will fix himself something else later, letting me know the whole time by banging around in the kitchen that he isn't happy.

Another beautiful morning but snow predicted for tonight and tomorrow. I am so over winter...I have been over winter since Halloween! Guess I will get out and pick up my taxes this morning...they called yesterday and I did not ask about the damage. I hope selling the house hasn't hurt to bad! I do not understand taxes nor to I want to! On most days by 3:20 Jon and Andrew are coming up the stairs into the kitchen but yesterday they were really late...30 minutes late. Whne I ask what happened Drew started in. They had a new bus driver and she laid down rules, boys on one side girls on the other and no sitting in the back of the bus so he lost his seat since his throne is in the back on what is now the girls side. Plus, PLUS the new driver is stupid because she didn't know the route after laying down all the rules. Jon said he got off the bus fuming. One day the bus had to combine routes and he came in complaining because they had to double up on seats and a baby (kindergartner) fell asleep on his shoulder. He was pretty upset that day but yesterday was the worst! Those bus rides can be an ego breaker for a 9 year old! Sierra called yesterday and we grabbed lunch. Was very pleasant and thank you Sharon for telling me to bite my tongue. It is so hard but I just smiled and took a bite of my sandwich and the moment passed. She will be here this afternoon and stay for supper...we are finally going to grill those hambs and hot dogs. Even if it is snowing! I am so hungry was a hot dog off the grill. Guess I need to hit the shower so I can head out and see what damage the government has done with my taxes. I already know the tax lady wants a chunk for fees. Hope they left me with enough for a new pair of cons. Maybe a red pair...a hot grandma in a pair of red converse shoes. But maybe a check in the mail to the government instead. I probably didn't really need a new pair of red shoes anyway. I would have settled for blue.......

We had a beautiful sunrise this morning, all pink striped. My phone camera just couldnt get it.
The morning political news is just so crazy...that is all I can say...
Good luck on that kitchen cleaning, girls. I have let too many things find a space on my counters. I need an organization person!

Yesterday the baby was so fussy, gassy. When I mentioned it to his mom, she said, oh, I better not eat anymore fish and garlic. I said, well, if you do, eat it on Friday, so you can see how it effects the baby. I sure hope it is out of the poor baby's system today...
No more complaining.

Good morning.
Woke way toooo early again and went back to bed. Then was awakened by the phone, but missed the call. I figured it was confirming my appt so I called back. They had cancelled it, doctors orders, and needed to schedule an MRI instead. I did, but E was wakened, called my scheduler but she had no answers for this, so she connected him to the doctor. Well, now we are waiting for the doctor, who wasn't available right away, to call back today to explain what's going on. (Meanwhile, I haven't been functioning quite normally since that colonoscopy.)

I never did get to my yard work yesterday. Swollen feet. Still swollen today. Just call me Fat Foot! This gets sooo tiring.
No real plans today. Just sit here and ignore my sore fat feet.
The place can use some dusting. Maybe Maye will run through here quickly.
Donna's dinner sounds sooo good.
Glad to know John's session went well, Elaine.....I may be going through it in a couple of months.

Taxes are done with no real damage. Sierra texted to say she was officially notified she made Dean's List last semester. Grocery shopped back home and had my groceries carried to the car by a boy who knew me. No body knows me here and that is ok but it is nice when SOMEONE knows who you are. Sort of a 'Norm' moment. All in all a good morning from here.

a very dreaded day for me today at least this morning will be. Have to go get my taxes done. Have no idea what to expect and even if I have all the papers to take. What with this move and all. Will be so glad when it's this afternoon when all I have to do is get a much needed haircut.

Dr's office just called and said they had made an appointment for me to see a cardiologist tomorrow afternoon. There was some sort of noise the doctor heard last week that he thought I should see the heart doctor. Now what. Just hope everything is ok and no horrible things need to be done.
