Howdy, Everyone. Another day in paradise. As my friend, Daren says, "I'm livin' the dream."

Well, we are still struggling with some pneumonia. Went back to doc yesterday for some more intervention.

Hope all is well with each of you. Hopefully our plumbing will get sorted out today.

Think I caught Pat's insomnia. Woke at 1:30 and no more sleep for me in my chair. Piddled around a bit, colored a page from my book. Not completly because it is rather intricate. Now having tea and saying good morning to everybody.

Good morning...I can't keep my eyes open..I have very little other than straightening the house planned for today...My Step Uncle Surgery was moved tomarrow so the family will be here to stay tonight...not sure what time that will be

everyone being brief today..... ummm.... either busy or bored with winter?.

I have just spent an hour hunting my paid tax receipt.. got my forms in the mail yesterday and want to get them made out today.. especially the tax rebate ..( a thanks from the lottery people).... I had moved it from one spot .. to a more "logical". spot in the desk drawer... should have made a copy of it for in computer .... finally found it in the Logical spot.. ( the one box , marked paid receipts.?).. now have made two extra copies for the file cabinet. but glad it is found .. .. and I can get on with this cold snowy day we are to have....
I wanted a quick trip to groc store . but not sure I want to trust the snow to hold off .... I can now leave D. at home alone ... he would probably sleep while I was gone.. Nothing on the list that is really important to get.. just wanted a breath of fresh air.

David is doing very well.... now if we can just get John better!... pneumonia is really a strength sapping thing to have . btdt...

otherwise today will be a puzzle day. two lessons scheduled for this evening ... again, depending on the roads.
oh yes .gotta make some food...

Good morning.... I just lost my entire post, too.

A warm day ahead, seeing as we are reaching the 80's now. Mornings and evenings are still cool, though.

Today I have a late morning appointment with the Oncology nurse in the cancer center. While I don't expect any solutions for my physical problems (I'm now seeing other sources for that), I do need help in getting my main prescription medication filled again this month. Pharmacies and warehouses are still behind, so I hope there's still some secret stash at the hospital again. This is getting old -- but worse, it's frightening.
Please wish me luck.

Nothing much else going on.
Maye, it's good to hear that Dave has improved so much!
Elaine, I hope John's doctor finds a solution for him, too.
Justy, I'm glad you're okay. That error notice is a nuisance. I get it mostly in the History thread, but it's getting closer to a half hour before I can see that the post was good after all.

Good Morning...think you are right Maye, we are all tired of winter, ready for something to brighten our days.
So glad that David is doing so well, now for John and his pneumonia...Elaine are you guys still burning wood? That can be irritating to the lungs, I have COPD and was another reason we quit having a woodburner, fireplace, insert, etc. also no burning of candles, no perfumes, nothing that had a sent to it like cleaners. But like Maye said, it is very hard to get over and it saps all your strength..

Need to get out of the house today, even as cold as it is outside I need to get out and pick up a few things, plus just get some fresh air..
Once again trying to think of something 'different' to fix for supper, still searching for recipes I think sound good and printing them off.
Well let's see if I can get this posted before it goes away...could mean day 3 of no problems, LOL

Sunny this morning but a wind chill of 4 with a pocket of snow for the afternoon...nothing big but a bother. I must get to the grocery this morning. My cooking so far this week has been very poor and Andrew has requested tacos. Not that that is gourmet but beats hamburger helper. The valances are finally in so need to stop by Penney's. No one walked out to get the mail yesterday so maybe the last of my tax papers will be in there. Nothing going on around here but the cold icky winter..

Good Morning! It looks so pretty out there with that skim of fresh snow.

Yesterday the morning was the only productive part. Went to a local grocery store that had 4 whole chickens set back for me. They had been on sale for $.88/lb a couple weeks ago & every time I went to get a couple, there were none. I got 2 rain checks and tried to use them twice with no luck. So the last time the meat manager told me they were coming in the next day & he'd set them back for me. I told him my rain checks were expiring, and he said to just give them to him & he'd honor the price. He just weighed & priced them at $.88/lb and I didn't have to deal with the cashiers up front giving me grief about the date on the rain checks. Nice. After that it was onto the doctors ofc for my yearly GYN appointment. They got me in & out within an hour, which is nice. Had just enough time to head into Butler to go to the bank & Aldi's. Got home with 10 minutes to spare before Blaise arrived. Roasted one of the chickens for supper. YUM!

Today is cooking day for my cousin Karen. Trying a new recipe that I saw on FB last week. It's chicken breast that you slice several times but not the whole way through and then you stuff each slot with spinach & ricotta cheese that you've sauted, then top with cheese and bake. Looked very good. Serving it with roasted brussel sprouts and roasted yam cubes.

Today is Kathy's 22nd birthday. She's here. I'm sure she's waiting to see what we are giving her. She requested to go out for her birthday dinner & I told her I haven't been out to eat since her Dad got laid off in September and I had my birthday in that time frame. If we can't afford to go out ourselves, then we can't do it for her either. She needs (wants) a hair cut and I may ask my hairdresser if she'll cut her hair since we barter services. If Lori isn't good enough for Kathy, then she doesn't get that either. Beggars can't be choosers. I told her what I was making for dinner which is something she'd love, so we'll see if she stays. We've been having arguments about her not looking for work. Her car registration expired after today. She ask what she's to do....I told her she needs to get a job to pay for what needs done. I've been telling her that this needs done for well over a month, so she can't plead ignorance.

Haven't done diddly yet this morning. A friend called and we chatted for quite a while.

Jo as I pray for my mom today as she goes in for her 2nd round of chemo....I will add your name in there and that the meds you need are available..

I am more awake now still no plans for today other than some online shopping...mom sent me some amazon money..to hopefully purchase a cover for my new Giant Print Bible I received as a gift...so far I have only found gifts for other people....gotta stop doing that and look for the things I want and need.
