Yesterday, I went to lunch with the seniors at the community hall down on Main St. It wasn't cold but I put on my jacket because sometimes the hall is rather cold.
I locked the door, put my keys in my pocket, and walked down to another Barbara's who gives me a ride. We drove down the hill to the parking lot and we went in. Signed in and dropped my payment into the box, went to sit down but it was warm so I took off my jacket and hung it over my chair.
When it was time to leave I carried my jacket because it was really too warm to wear ir.
Went to unlock my door and I had no KEYS. Went through all my pockets, all six, went through Barbara's car, drove down to the hall and searched the parking lot and then the hall. Nothing. Back to the apartments, looked in the car again. Still nothing.
I then went to the office and told the manager and asked to borrow a key. She explained in detail that I would have to pay and the mail box key would cost extra and on and on. Lent me a key which I returned to her after I got my spare keys.
Later the other manager came up to give me mail and told me he would get the mailbox set in order.
A bit later he came with my keys in hand and asked if they were mine. He had found them on my walk way which we had all searched two or three times.
Obviously, someone found them somewhere and brought them back but didn't knock on the door.
Puzzlement!
