    Good Morning!

Weather reports and health reports, please. Hope everyone has not encountered any problems. It is just cold and foggy here.

I nursed a pot of soup along most of yesterday, doing things in stages, only to have the lightbulb on the overhead stove vent explode as I was finalizing it for supper. Never had that experience before. Scared the pookie out of me. Although there is a protective cover over the bulbs, I couldn't be certain about any glass, so I threw out the whole thing. Boo Hoo!

I fed John crepes made of pancake batter the other day and he wants more today. Yay! I love crepes.

Hope to hear from everyone today. Hugs~

    Good Morning!

We were fortunate to miss the big storm that is causing havoc to so many.

Nothing much on the agenda today other than laying around to get rid of the 2 lb. of fluid that appeared yesterday.

Hope this finds everyone safe and warm.

        Morning all

Aunt Maye - I hope Dave gets to go home today - you certainly don't get any rest in a hospital!

It's my weekend off, but Chris is working both days at his 2nd job. I'm going to make soup and homemade bread for supper. It's 36 degrees here right now and we actually had snow flurries last night! Eek!

        Y'all have a good 'un!
The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

          Good ,morning ..

we got snow too. but only about 2".. however roads are slick underneath the light dusting .. Mike and I literally crawled home last evening from hospital.. would have liked to been at hospital this morning early while Dr. were dropping in.. but not going to happen.. will wait until we are sure they have salted everywhere.. ... ....yesterday Surgeon thought maybe D. could be released late today or maybe Sunday morning.. but ...the physical therapy people are wanting him to stay for a little longer ...Im going to have to make decision soon.. David is doing really good.. but still on the wobbly side.. because he is not eating enough.. think I will stop and get him some hot dogs. with chili.. and a bunch of french fries
          kidding of course.

SassyG.you must have a real pile of snow.. for Walmart to close. ...and that cat .. was me yesterday ... so many technical people kept coming in to Davids room. as soon as he would drop into sleep some one would come in... finally in mid afternoon. I refused to let anyone in the room except the head nurse who had to give him insulin shot. .... I felt like that cat!...

what a shame to lose a pot of soup Elaine... dang.
Justy , we have about 2 inches of snow.. im hoping the road crews have the roads salted, especially intersections..

hi to all.. will head for hospital shortly... Dr. mentioned. maybe releasing him today.. hope not... too cold. would not want to try to get him into house ..and a little more strength in his legs would be better!.

          see you later .

            Good morning, all.
Today's the last warm day, @ 79° (higher than the forecasts were). Tomorrow the high will be 66°.
No plans in particular for today, but there's always things to be done.

Mostly, I'm wondering if my middle daughter is really doing better today. Her evil-DH finally emailed her. Hereafter he wants their conversations "in writing". He considers them officially separated. She is looking for a legal means of getting support from him. This was the *first* time he acknowledged what is going on, so it's still a shock to her. But he didn't tell her one thing that we hadn't already guessed; so there's a lot more to the story. Her daughter, thankfully, is fine; turns out she has no bond with her father, he always ignored her.

Well, that's all the news here. I need to see if the server has accepted my history blurb yet. It's taking longer to appear now. Yesterday I reposted before the original popped up, so had to delete one.

Hope you all have a great day! 😊 Stay warm.

I hope that today mom will rest...she was starting to feeling the side effects of the chemo...or I think she was last night...just the exaustion..and she won't stop to rest..she will have to learn none of us can tell her.

Sunny and above freezing this afternoon. Should melt some of the nasty stuff around. So glad I do not live in the East! Saw pictures this morning on the news and you can keep the snow. Already had more winter than I want right here! Guess today will be a painting day for the new door and trims on others. Not sure what kids will drop in or out but do think I want a Steak and Shake burger. I just have a craving for those! Also have several loads of laundry..never a day to just sit around although I seem to do a fair amount of sitting around which could be why things pile up. So sorry about the soup and exploding bulb. How scary. Going to read up on the happenings in the world and start my day.

Good Morning. Yes, we got a bit of snow, but not much, but more than they were predicting which was none.

Yesterday was semi productive. Got my hair looking decent again. If only I could style it like she does. Came home and worked on paperwork issues. I'm beginning to see the bottom of my desk. Also FINALLY got all the receipts and bills sorted into piles...now they need organized.

This morning I had PLANNED to sleep in for a change. Would you believe that little person who I basically have to shake away every morning during the week was up BEFORE 6:30am. I growled loudly and stayed in bed until a little after 8am but I did get a little bit more sleep though it was interrupted regularly. We finally got all the Christmas boxes back up in the attic. Got an order for 2 doz cupcakes for tomorrow morning, so have to do those somewhere along the line.

Have a safe warm one all!

Good Morning, been a busy one here so far, our morning/day for receiving phone calls...hubby fixed pancakes and sausage for breakfast...And it was delicious...having a hard time typing with my fingertips, I literally scrubbed them to the bone yesterday on my oven. Never again will I ever have a stove with what is called )Aqua Lift self cleaning", what a waste!! It does not do a good job, and the cycle is only for 40 mins. and then it is cool to touch and clean, it barely releases any burned on stuff...so I scrubbed and scrubbed until my fingers could take no more and it still is not good...since it is only two years old I will keep it one more year before I get a different stove..who knows what it will look like inside by then.

Today we are going to an indoor flea market/garage sale type thing, it will be inside a mall, just to get out of the house and blow some stink off.. Been inside to long...just made a yellow cake, will punch holes in it, fill with instant SF vanilla pudding, then after that sets put on the chocolate glaze, close to boston crème pie..well hubby is ready and so am I, see ya later alligator...afterwhile crocodile..have a great day, fill it with sunshine, real or in your mind..

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

Sharon, the cake sounds good. I love Boston creme pie..
And, Elaine, I love crepes, too! Sweet or savory. Every time my kids had a French class party their teacher would ask, Your mom making crepes?
Sun is actually shining now. I had an 8:30 appointment this morning and it was raining, just like it did all night. The wind is crazy!
My friend had her surgery postponed until today. Her doctor started doing radiation on her tumor a couple of days ago. She is only a year or two older than I am...and one of the nicest people ever.
I am going to the store while it isn't raining and then staying in to clean and cook. The floors need the cleaning and with this weather it is an ongoing process.
I will check back later. You guys with the Weather stay safe, high and dry!
Pat: 36! I didn't think they allowed temps like that in Fl!
Tell the doctor to keep David until he can be less wobbly...do you have a ramp, or is it a flat entrance?
Off to shop and then make that cake boffler told us about...

                          Aloha all!

Sassygirl, you must live in the DC area or near by to get so much snow that Walmart closes. Take care and stay warm please.

Nice here and that's all I'm going to say.

Glad David is doing better and hope they keep him in the hospital a bit longer. Maybe they will with the cold weather you are having.

Now have 3 pairs of Bermuda shorts to wear instead of 3 pairs of slacks. Might look for more in my closet that I can convert.

Have a good one all and stay warm!
