Good Morning Sassy and kittie!1 I have a cat that keeps messing with our tree at night, I think he must have tried to get in it because two of the bottom branches are almost touching the floor, some of the garland is pulled down, and some of the ornaments are laying loose...it's an artificial tree, doesn't seem to bother him..It will be down before first of year no doubt..

Have to get my grocery list made out, don't plan on shopping until Monday, but need to know what I need to buy for eats around here..Grandkids will be here a few days so must have breakfast cereal for sure..they love the individual larger bowl type cereals, works for us because we don't eat cereal so this way we don't have it around..Need to make a plan and menus, and also what we need to buy yet for Christmas gifts..Thank gosh hubby will be home this coming week, he is a wonderful shopper and helper!! Aggravating at times by questioning me, but most times most helpful.

Up early this morning, since 4:00 a.m. actually, tired to go back to sleep but that didn't happen, after laying in bed, saying some prayers, etc., just wasn't going back to sleep so I am up and the cats are happy about that for sure..Today we will probably wrap gifts, well I should say hubby will, he is the master wrapper nowadays and I love it...actually I think he does also, this way he actually knows what we bought for people..

We got our cold weather and a few snow flakes but no white on the ground for Christmas yet..daughter and her family will be leaving GA for OH this week, this morning we are to Skype with them so we can see our grandgirls receive their big gift from us, we bought them both vanities for their rooms...they will have a few more gifts to open Christmas when they are here, but the vanities we bought when we where in GA.

Well need to get off of here and get this day started...I do have to say my reason for waking up so early was the hubby's SNORING, the older I get the harder it is for his snoring not to keep me awake, even with earplugs I still hear it or the vibration from it on my pillow...GRRRRR!!

Have a wonderful day one and all...smile and sometimes the people will even smile back at you...

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

      Morning all

Sharon, now you KNOW you'd miss that snoring, wouldn't you? Chris is the same way.

Instead of baking cookies for our exchange, I'm baking mini loaves of lemon poppyseed bread. It's in the oven now because the exchange party is tomorrow.

Gotta make some shortbread for a friend also. And fudge for ME!

So I'm back to the kitchen. Y'all have a good 'un!

Good Morning. I think we are going over to visit with Wayne, Kenny has a couple of DVD's of a show for him, he gave up his cable and so can't watch one of the shows he likes (actually he is the one who got us to watching it) so since Kenny downloads it for us he just burned the last season for him. Also will fix up some fudge which is already made to take over for their Christmas party. I have peanut butter and mint already made, may make some white to go with it. Since I do the super easy kind with chips and RTS frosting won't take long to mix it up. Talked to Maryanne yesterday, she is kind of depressed about not having extra $ to get Ashley stuff for Christmas told her that I think Ashley will long remember the love she gives her all year long than what she gets or doesn't get for Christmas. Anyhow she was telling me that she had went to 3 stores trying to find a nail dryer that Ash had pointed out that she would like to have. I got to thinking that someone had given Kenny's Mom one and I thought I had brought it home and put it in the closet, checked and sure enough plus it was still in the plastic never used. So I called her back and told her not to buy one, just to pick up 4 C size batteries. She started telling me that she was going to pay me for it and I told her she wasn't, to use that extra money to pick Ash up some extra nail polish or something. I'm sure Kenny's Mom would rather someone have it and enjoy it than for it to just be sitting in the closet.

Knew I was getting a UPS package yesterday but the UPS man scared the dickens out of me. Suddenly heard a very loud male voice sounding like arguing with someone. Peeked out and saw the UPS truck then wondered if someone was trying to rob him, doorbell rang so peeked out and it was just him, guess he was talking on his cell phone.

Tonight Santa comes here for the kids. Drew stayed last night and it was just the two of us and he is trying to get a handle on when and where and Christmas excitement and he drove me nuts! Finally he curled up in bed with a movie and that was the last I heard from him. He will be leaving to join his mother for something this afternoon and back this evening for Christmas Eve dinner. I have no idea when Sierra will be joining us. Jon and I will work in the kitchen today preparing for tomorrows dinner. Scott will be in early and stay over until Monday. Tonight I have meatballs and will make sauce for spaghetti. Yesterdays trip out to the grocery was an adventure and I am glad to not have to be out again. I hear a little boy stirring so the excitement begins...also hear a nasty cough coming from his room. Poor guy was sick for Thanksgiving so keeping my fingers crossed when he comes out this morning!!!

                Good morning.
I don't think. We have frost today.....the night was I. The 40's, and today it hits 70°!
It took longer than usual to drive here. Accidents on the highway....45 minutes of driving 15mph til we passed them.
Saw a lot of fender-benders when we got into PHX, too.

Didn't sleep well during the night. Hate the suites....no stove, just microwave and tiny refrigerator. E likes it, though. OK.
The place is rebuilt, the building makes little noises all the time, sounds like someone poking in the rooms. Oh well. We don't have to spend a whole lot of time in here.
Stomach is bothering me like crazy. Cramps included. Many trips to the bathroom. Ain't gonna be as much fun as I hoped, here. Mylanta helps a lot.

Time to get E up so we can get to son's on time.

Wishing you al a fantastic day. 🎄

Well, spell check did a number on my entire first line. I can't get in to edit it back to what I typed. Hope you can make sense of it.

I just finished my shower and went into the kitchen to peel 10# of potatoes. There at the sink were Drew and His dad...dad peeling and Andrew putting the apple slicer over them and making slivers. Unorthodox but it sure worked! Potatoes are cooking and now how can I con them into peeling sweet potatoes? I would bet most kitchen inventions came from men always trying to find an easier way....

Good morning, all. A bit warmer here this morning as it is raining and will probably continue most of the week. Snow predicted for Friday. Now why did it have to wait until the day after Christmas so all the White Christmas fans could enjoy it.
Had a white one about 23 years ago when I was living higher in the mountains.

Did absolutely nothing yesterday as per Dr.'s orders and my back feels much better. Maybe I can get my tree up today. It's just a little one so it won't take long. Hardest part will be shortening the wore hangers that sis brought me. I think they dangle too far down.

The potluck could have been better as Mary didn't get the tamales completely cooked. Oh well better luck next time.

Sassy, I used to have a white Tom who attacked our tree every year. He was a psych case and no one but I could touch him. My sis still has a scar on her lip from trying to cuddle him. I had warned her but she still acknowledges that it was her own fault.

Well, breakfast is over, pills taken till night, and I have my second cup of tea. Hope to see all you busy people tomorrow.

Hi Maye and everyone. I finally made it.

Sad day as I got word an ex daughter in law died this morning. Too young...... Son is a mess and had even lost his wallet to add to his woes. I am having another son take care of wiring him money once he had found an ID so he would be able to get the money. She was living with my son. He called 911, her heart stopped twice on the way to the hospital yesterday. Then they transferred her to a Galveston Hospital and she died in Son's arms this morning. I presume her daughter will have the body flown back up here for burial.

Better get back to elevating my fat feet....

                              good afternoon, friends!
I have been going to shops, an early morning appointment and to the post office. And enjoying all of it. For some reason I haven't felt over stressed and it used to...things like gifts arriving from people I didn't send to...ugh. Why, when everyone agreed (!) to not send presents, did both my brothers and my best friend send gifts!? Oh,ms ell, it must be part of Their Christmas spirit and who (whom?) am I to mess with that? No Grinches at this house!
Elaine, I was just thinking of your niece. My thoughts are certainly with her and the family.
Pat, Becky's friend's huge lemon tree has started to produce...my counters are full! That lemon poppyseed bread may be on my agenda this weekend.
Sassy, that kitty mugshot is darling...I hope he has a good "cattorney" because, come on...only knocked over once?
One year, our tree went over 3 times! We finally tied it up! Fishing wire is good for more than catching dinner!
Have a wonderful rest of the day. Maxie, all your different preparations and scheduling just add to your awesomeness!
Maye, I wish I had a good visual of your two kitchens. I am pretty amazed by your up and down cooking and serving, too.
Rounders, thanks for saving a spot for me at the table!
