Good morning to each one of you. I cant tell what the weather will be today. Right now, it is DARK! I think that it is supposed to be clear today. It seems like the days are getting chillier and chillier. I would heck my phone to see the icon, but my phone is at my friend's house. It fell out of my pocket in her car! will get it tonight. I HATE not having my cell phone!!
I want to thank you for your prayers, good thoughts, support and wise words. Tuesday was horrific. I know I needed to be at Don's sentencing, but I hated it. The judge was a good man. I was really impressed. He is very "by the book," but he is fair and just. He cares about the victim(s) and the criminal and he really had done his "homework." He made sure that he was doing everything right. Several times, he asked questions about the guidelines for sentencing and the parameters he had to go by. It was really painful to have to listen to his reasons for imposing the sentence he gave Don. He sentenced him to 38 years, lifetime supervision and $176, 000 in restitution. (That made me laugh.) I did find out that he can be sent to any prison in the United States. I doubt he will be in SC, but it will be a while before he gets assigned to a permanent facility. His lawyer is no longer representing him, but told me that he will be available if I need anything! He was the best attorney that either of my kids ever had. So, it is "one down and one to go."
Stewart was supposed to have a jury trial, but may not have to go through that now.
I need to pick up my meds at Publix and do a little bit of Christmas shopping. I will also go to Mass tonight. Today would be my parent's 77th wedding anniversary and the Mass will be for them. I really want to get a pedicure and a manicure, but I don't know if I will get to do that today.
Elaine - I hope John is better!
Pat - I can relate to the pj's and the keys! I hope Erin is feeling better!
Bethina - I am glad your folks stayed with you. How far away do they live?
Janet - I should say I am sorry about the "C" word but I am not!
I still have not found the lost lens and doubt that I ever will. I am being VERY careful not to lose or break my only pair of glasses.
I can't get my brain in gear and can't think of what I wanted to post. (This getting old is for the birds!)
Enjoy the day!
