Good morning, and good November to you all. Where does the time go?
I've been awake since 3:00a, and don't know why.
Yesterday we gave out well over 200 glow necklaces. Beautiful little girls and boys; no gory costumes this year. Many princesses and Minnie Mouse, ninjas and super heroes. A mix of Hispanic, Asian, Caucasian, Negro, and India-Indian children.
Many thanks of appreciable from parents for keeping the kids safe and cavity free, by handing out what we did. One or two other houses also gave out glow necklaces, but they were very dim and burned out after an hour. Ours were bright, and we know which kids came by twice. They said we were the hottest house in the neighborhood. Wow!
The entire Trick-or-Treat lasted from 6-8. At 8 I was feeling the cold starting to come in, and the groups of kids nearly abated, so we closed it up about then. We may have had 20 or more necklaces that only partially lit up, and the last group grabbed them all to take along and have fun with.
So much for last night. Back to reality today. I've got Heckle & Jevkle, Wendy witch, and other odds and ends filling the living room, all of which get packed away today for next year.
I get to finish the laundry I started yesterday.
When the sun comes up, I'll bring in the paper and read it.
We will be having a sunny day, a bit warmer than yesterday.
Hope you have a great day. Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, right? 😄
