    Good Morning.

    How is everyone this fine day? Super hot here, but sunny and green out there.

    Does anyone have a good idea for dealing with mosquito bites? I read to use Orajel. Has anyone tried it? We do have a lot of mosquitos because of all the rain.

    Finished creating the newsletter yesterday and today must go and help mail out. Wish the powers that be wouldn't wait until the midnight hour to send me information.

    Hope everyone is feeling fine. Have a very good day.

    Good morning, Elaine and all who follow!

    I can tell you that the powers that be will NOT get their articles in when they are supposed to! That was one of the lessons I learned early on oing several newslettes! The only newslwtter I did that was done without having to wait, was my own. And sometimes I had to wait for me! lol

    I guess it is hot and muggy out, but I haven't been outside yet.

    I woke up ith a headache and low grade fever. I am going bck to bed! See you later.

    PS: Thanks for enlarging and boldng the font, Elaine!

    "God loves us so much, He gave us friends!" Amen! http://roundersonline.org/core/images/smilies/smile.png

      Good SUNNY Morning! Yesterday we got dumped on for a bit, but then the rest of the day was pretty. Of course we were in town when it decided to do that. LOL!

      Yesterday was the least productive day I've had for a while. Phone calls aren't being returned. I did get a couple boxes emptied, one being an office box. Sifted through a ton of papers. Found a few that I needed, but a couple I'm still missing. That frustrates me to no end. The missing screws still haven't appeared. One of the pieces of paper I found was the slip I wrote the buyer's name & phn # of the Shelby, OH place. I called him to see if he came across a couple baggies of screws...nope. They are here SOMEWHERE!

      My brother called yesterday and ask if I wanted to come over at 5pm and go through the stuff that's being sold at the Estate Sale at his/our old neighbor's house. He has watched over her & the house for years, so he has access to the house. The Sale lady was suppose to be there, but never showed, so my brother opened up the place himself. The big thing I wanted to check out was the sleeper sofa that was for sale for $35. It was in great shape, BUT the color was '70 green....NO WAY! I was going to put it out on my sun porch area right where everyone comes in. NO WAY was I having IT there. Now if it had been a nice sold color, but NOT a 70's patterned green thing. LOL!!! I did find 8/$15 fold chairs that I want. We'll go back over tonight when the lady is there. Maybe I'll convince Aunt J to come with me tomorrow or Friday (I'll pick up & drive) and do her magic wheeling & dealing. There are somethings I'm willing to pay full price, but somethings are too high.

      My SIL stopped by on her way home from her housecleaning job. She said it hit her as she was coming down the road that I'm now here and that she could actually stop & see me. Nice! Her & my niece came last night after supper and we played a game of Hand & Foot. They didn't stay too late. I had to get a load of laundry done for Corky. Becca as me to watch Scandal with her on Netflix. We started from the very beginning of the series & she has it recording on our new lil box so when we get caught up, we'll watch them on that. It gives us something to do together & talk about.

      Today is back to unpacking boxes. Maybe I'll take the time to call a couple more companies that are withdrawing payments from the OH checking account. I've ask Becca to help me build two more shelving units in the pantry so that I can unpack some more of those boxes. I don't want to wait until Corky is off on Friday.

      Have a good one all!

        Good Sunny Morning from Ohio!! Only 66 degrees right now but feels much warmer, a bit on the humid side, but still a perfect morning..
        Yesterday I felt tired and lazy and didn't accomplish much, but feeling a little more spry today so I need to go shopping for a baby gift, have a baby shower this Saturday to attend. Also a few things I want to pick up from GFS, (Gordan Food Service), love to buy things to put in the freezer, plus the canned chicken and beef, so nice to have on hand..
        Elaine, don't you just love the mornings when the sun is shining and everything is green and the birds are happily singing? Sorry that people wait until last minute to give you what you need for your report, nature of the beast unfortunately..
        Donna, sounds like you, as usual still had a busy day, each day you are getting something accomplished and that is moving forward. I totally understand the frustration of people not returning phone calls, must be nice that your business is doing so good that you don't find it necessary to return phone calls...NOT!! But finding it more and more lately and it infuriates me to no end...I watch Scandal and love it...
        Janet, now I will nag, low grade temp, not feeling good, time for you to take a break and behave yourself!!! Pneumonia can happen without a person even realizing they have it..(((hugs))) At least Donna is close and makes some delicious soups if you need it and can even fix Dave something if needed..
        Well off to read and get this day started, shower, dressed and on the road..
        Have a beautiful day to all that have or will pass this way...

        Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

            Morning all

            Stormy afternoon here yesterday - maybe the same today. If you don't like the weather in Florida, wait 30 minutes - it will change.

            Nothing else new here. Y'all have a good 'un!

            The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

              Good morning! 😄

              Today should start bringing in some clouds, and rain is still predicted for this weekend. ⚡️ Today we'll see only 102°.

              Yesterday was good. Got my haircut, and a free mini-manicure to try out their nail polish. I also traded back a shampoo that I bought last time and did t like, for one that does what the first used to do. The company changed its packaging as well as some of the formulas, and at their prices I want something that works. I didn't have a shopping day yesterday, so E drove me to the salon, and then we went to one store that had smaller pillowcases for travel pillows.
              Today he's got an appointment with Red Cross in the afternoon, so this morning I'll have a few chores for him. I just hope to get some chores accomplished here today. Heaven knows where the time goes any more.

              Elaine, when I did church bigger newsletters, I did establish a cut-off deadline for articles submitted. One lady consistently was late, and complained to the pastors that I left out her articles. Sorry, but she didn't get it to me during church office hours, and I only had time to work on it at home. I told pastor that if I had to take church work home, it had to fit my hole hours, as I had 5 kids at home to care for as well. If she couldn't make one simple deadline, she'd have to make do with a highlighted blurb in the Sunday bulletin. He couldn't argue, but he did ask me to make allowances for her; I told him she knows the deadlines and should arrange her timing to be helpful. After all, I had 3 pastors there to keep up with, each with their own agendas. (Oh, the stories I could tell!)

              Sharon, am so glad you are feeling a bit better.

              Donna, moving in takes time, doesn't it. Hope you find the screws soon. I guarantee that as soon as you replace them with new ones, they'll show up again. 😉

              Wishing you all a great day!
              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
              Create a beautiful day wherever you go.
                Pat, put my name on the blue chair, will ya?
                I don't have such a hectic day here this morning. Tuesday and Thursday I have a boy who arrives at 7:00 and that just takes about 20 minutes out of my time...so, I was not thinking yesterday about getting here in the morning. I made cookie dough and when I was putting the trays in the oven I was thinking I can't wait to tell the RT how well this went...and then realized I hadn't even been here to post. I am not baking anything today and it will be a clean as I can kind of day.
                The garbage trucks started coming before 5:00 this morning and that got other people's dogs barking and it was just easier to get up than to try and sleep till 5:30.
                Tonight after daycare I am going to one of the daycare mom's yard sale. She told me to come tonight and to bring friends. She is selling her jeans and clothes she wore before she had her baby and they are all good brands in size 2 (!) and XS and S. Her shoes are also really good. She has a pair of UGG boots for 25.00 that I told a friend about who already gave me the money to give Cassie when she comes this morning. This will be a great help for some of the teens at church. Most of the girls are up at our Girls Camp this week but I let the moms know and we will be there and then going to the Farmer's Market,
                Our Wednesday night market is well attended even in the high heat. There is a local band or musician featured each week and they use the courthouse steps for their stage and people bring lawn chairs and sit around on the grass. Nicely shaded!
                Ok, so I am one of the book writers here...
                It is gong way up in temps here this week. It always makes me think of my grandparents making jam in the summer without air conditioning. They had a swamp cooler in the window but stirring the jam was hot work! Gramp always helped Nana. Growing up our vacations were always driving cross country to visit. And we only got to do it every other year or so...Love those memories!
                Ok, have a good ole summertime day!
                    Sierra stopping by this morning on her way to getting her hair highlighted and will take a load back with her....Christmas boxes. Got my hair cut yesterday and it is short short short...love love love it! I wanted wash and wear and am giving it a try this morning. No repairmen and no word on the appraisal. I feel like I'm in limbo here. Have a call in to the realtor so maybe will get some word...going to add progress to positive as my words of the day. Grass guy was here yesterday and guess he thought I wasn't home because he did a crappy job. Big time! I try to not talk to him because he brags so badly on his granddaughters. One just graduated with my Sierra and I am really not interested in his bragging..my granddaughter is just as smart and beautiful. I'm not complaining to him since I hope every week is his last week cutting. My lovely just walked in so off for a quick visit...
                        I guess I've been staying away too much as I had to log in for the first time in several weeks.
                        Hot again maybe over a hundred.
                        I'm feeling much better now. Depression seems to be lifting at last. I find that making myself get around people seems to be helping as is having the allergies under control.
                        Have to get myself dressed and go down to the community room for coffee and donuts or some kind of cake.
                        Also going down into town for lunch with the seniors.
                        Every, take care of your selves.
                          Aloha all!
                          Elaine, I have found that "After bite" is good for mosquito bites. It comes in a pencil like tube and you can get it at drug stores.
                          Bim and I just came back from getting our fasting blood tests. Glad that is over for a year-I hope.
                          Will do this and that today.
                          Have a good one all!
