  • Good Wednesday Morning!!! June 10th

Good Morning!!!! Yesterday was pretty & a little cool, but not enough that you had to wear a sweater. Today is suppose to be pretty.

Yesterday was very good. I got the kitchen primarily finished packing & almost all the drawers & cupboards wiped out. I took a few minutes out & went to visit my PCP to thank him for all his care and to also ask for refills on all my meds since I have none. He actually took a couple minutes to sit down with me & chat & gave me a big ole hug. Headed down to Newark for my appt with Maureen around noontime. I got good news, which put a spring in my step. All is well!!! Stress & nerves did it again...screwed up something normal. I'm thankful it's not cancer. Mo invited us to stay the night, but there is just so much to do around here, I just wanted to come home. Blaise was fine with that as long as we stopped at the library for some more new books. He'd go there every day if I'd go.

I was whipped & thought I'd take a power nap...HA! Jumped right in and started sorting, cleaning, & packing some more. A church friend called & they came over to check out what tools they'd need for the swing set. He's coming back this morning & going to tear it down a bit before taking it. Another thing ticked off my list. I spent the evening working on the office area during commercials while watching CHOPPED.

I was informed that my brother Ray & Becca are coming back with Corky Thursday evening. So that changes a lot of plans again. I had to tell Kathy that we no longer need her & her friend to come back to PA with us. We also no longer need the car dolly since my brother can drive one car & Becca can drive the other. She wasn't thrilled because she had already made plans with some friends. She ask if she could still come. I said sure. She then ask for the gas money to do it. NOT!!!! We are paying for her deposit on her new apt...that's enough. She was mad at first, but has adjusted. She also ask if the church people were coming back to move her stuff to her apt from the storage unit. I told her to call & ask. We can't do it all for her. Well, we could.

Today I have no commitments that I can think of, so I can just plod along here all day. I really need to write myself a list of all the utilities & companies I need to call for here & the new place. I did call a couple places yesterday and called the new owners and told him what he needed to do for here. I think they'll be coming for a visit either today or tomorrow evening.

    Have a good one all!

    Good Morning.

Whew! Donna, you are amazing! Glad your health is doing well.

Committee of women coming at 10a to go over their new yearbook, so I am whirling around washing and wiping things that don't need it, but it makes me feel better anyway.

Went to our niece's yesterday and she gave us 45 M shirts and a couple of jackets and pants that belonged to our nephew who died suddenly. Not sure if we can house all of them, but John can decide and maybe we can find someone to take the rest. None of our other men in the family wear M. I'm afraid every time I look at one of these things the sadness will start all over. Maybe it will get better in time.

Better get going. Have a good day.

Good morning my friends. Sun is shining. Birds are singing, and to pool was installed yesterday, so a good morning it is. They did not show up until after 4:00 p.m. and finished at 9:30 p.m. Far from the 12:30 they said they would be here. Water delivery to fill it late this afternoon.
Donna you sound much better this morning, happy for that, also happy for the help you will have. I know it is hard on you with the Kathy situation but some distance will probably be a good thing.
Elaine don't fuss so much with the house, enjoy the people.😉
My Dr. visit didn't go as I had hoped, he is concerned that since I keep getting pneumonia that it is probably because of the Remicade I take, it suppresses the immune system and I can't fight it off like others can. He said that I could be in for rough roads ahead if I have to stop taking it, next step would be a colostomy. I guess you do what needs done when needed, and if that is what is to be, then I will deal with it, I won't be the first nor the last person to have one, it could be worse.
Today I will try and get a little dusting done with my swifter the house sure needs it. Keeping up with the laundry, smaller loads easier to handle.
Well nothing else here going on today, tomorrow morning I have an apt. with my pulmonary Dr. always something..also door and siding people in the afternoon, my front door has been a problem since moving here and I refuse their fixes, I want it reframed.

Good morning...Yesterday was not as good Monday but it was ok......I am having a HORRIBLE time with my breathing....I went to the out patient clinic yesterday...ears looked clear throat looked looked ok....breathing is funny.....was given a steroid pack and antibotic. Also told that if breathing didn't improve or got worse I need to go to the Regular doc or ER. My plan is to let a nurse listen to my breathing at work. Let them decide what I need to do. Please pray for me this is making me nervous which is made worse by the steroids.

          HEllo dear friends...

sounds like we are perking right along this morning .... things are pulling together...
          .
Elaine , that is one meeting I am glad I do not have to attend .... had a way too many of that type during my busy church years.. discovered some women like to talk something like this to death.... Have FUN.

I have a stack of clothing, most culotte pants , to hem awaiting my attention.. not mine. one of my students neighbors, whom I have done other work for,,,,,needs all these shortened as she has "shortened" also ... one of the effects of aging . measuring, cutting, hemming .. only two pr will need hand hemmed . .she is in no hurry so I can take my time.. and yes, this is for pay... altho' I feel silly taking money for doing this..With short-legged folks in my household , I have shortened every pair of pants, slacks. skirts. etc that ever came into this house. ( including gd daughters gowns, baton outfits. etc etc.)

better get moving .more coffee . pick up house and get this day started.

Donna, deep breath and move slower today!... doing happy dance with you report from Maureen..

Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.

Another beautiful sunny day. Hoping the hummingbirds will be back. They have been a little scarce of late. The feeder is right by my window so I catch a glimpse of them flying in and seldom miss any.

Need to figure out what to have for lunch. Yesterday they cleaned up everything I cooked so must have done good! LOL

              Good morning.
I'm up a bit early today, and glad to see several posts already!

Saw my eye doc yesterday, and my eyes got re-examined. She is giving me a slightly changed prescription, so I left my glasses with her. What a waste of a month, as I found pages blurring and sometimes double letters. But I gave them a good try. I am nearsighted in one eye, farsighted in the other, and apparently need a tiny prism in my prescription for the double vision. I've gotten into a habit of wearing my glasses only when reading or going out.

No particular plans today. The weather guys have rain forecasted til about 7-ish this morning. I don't see evidence of any, though. It'll warm up to only 92° today, and I'm good with that. It'll be back to the 100's soon enough.

Donna, it looks like things are falling into place for you. Finally!
Looks like nearly everyone has plans for a good day.
Beth, I hope your breathing clears up and your meds work good. It may take a day before they're totally effective.

Have a good day, everybody! 😄

Good Morning! I am trying to figure out how Elaine and Justy changed their font to bold...Later will have to do.
I have one of my favorite school kids start today for the summer. Her mom and Becky were friends in school and we were neighbors for a number of years. Her older brother was in daycare, too, but he stays at home. Carissa will be 7 the end of the month.
I saw someone eating a salad on tv and now that is what I want...for breakfast! Weird, I know, but I think if I just make a nice, big salad I can have some now and the rest we can use for lunch.
We had a little sprinkling of rain last evening. I wsa getting my hair cut and colored and that part of town barely got wet. My side had some water still on the ground. Our slide and climbing structure is on mats which were all still wet. Any rain is so good: the corners and edges of the lawn are the hardest to get watered. We are not supposed to let the water run down the gutter and my lawn slopes a bit...One town to the south of us, hired a guy to drive the neighborhoods to find people watering when they aren't supposed to!
Ok, I am off to dust and sweep. It is hard to do with the ceiling fans on so I need to do it early...
Anytime I was in charge of the church committee I would tell everyone the starting time and the Ending time...no open ended meetings and it sometimes worked
                Have a great day!
Donna, take a break every now and then. Now you know it is the stress affecting your health, and Others know it, hope that will help it to go away!
I gave away that big bag of clothes yesterday. I was wearing a pair of pants that were a little loose, read all your posts about taking in pants, etc. and decided to change and give them away, too! Cargo style is too difficult to take in with all the pockets and zippers...
I admire all the things you do! All of you!

Paula, salad for breakfast is not uncommon. I know people who enjoy it any time, regardless of what meal it is.
My GD who is studying medicine works late shifts, so when we invite her & family to breakfast, that meal IS her dinner, and that's what she orders -- salad. (Somehow, when she does that, my order of waffle & fruit doesn't seem as appealing! 😉 )

                    Aloha all!

Patty and Walt came and we got all my pictures hung so that is done. Makes the place more cluttered and homey. Will do a few other things that need to be done today. Did bring my Electrolux vacuum (which I had given to Bim when I moved a couple of years ago and will give the place a good vacuuming (even though I am scheduled for a room cleaning tomorrow) . Then will store it with Bim. as he has a lot of extra closet space. That way we can both use it.

                    Have a good day all!
