Good morning, everyone.
Yesterday hit 100° here again, not the forecasted 95°; today is suppossed to be 99°. Rain still forecasted for tomorrow. We'll see.
I need to bringing in the paper soon, or it'll be toasted by the heat.
I need to get my little corner cleaned up today. Papers (mail, coupons, etc.) accumulating. I just don't have room to move around easily to put things in their places. In the name of making things easy/comfortable for me, E has actually made things a bit more difficult for me instead. I'll work it out, but something needs to go. Oh well, he means well.
I'm back to using leftovers to make them into new meals. Unless it's soup and sandwiches, I can't cook for just two!
Happy Birthday, Sharon! Hope your day abides with your wishes.
Have a great day, all. 😄~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Create a beautiful day wherever you go.

Morning all
Up and at 'em today. Threw on some shorts & a T-shirt and headed for Wal-Mart early to get it over with before it gets too hot and the crowds come out. Picked up a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts and a Sunday paper. About to head for the back deck with the paper and my coffee.
Possibly a beach day today. We've also been invited to a friend's for a fish fry tonight. Fresh Gulf red snapper. YUM!
Y'all have a good 'un!The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

Not sure that I will make that adventure....the areas I would have to go through tend to be a little rough..

Happy Birthday, Sharon! so happy that you are on the mend!
Yesterday was great! Some friends of Becky's were on their way to Crater Lake and met up with us for dinner. They have an adorable 6 year old and also had their dog with them so we ate at a restaurant with outside seating...102* and they are from Santa Rosa! They are taking 10 weeks to drive all over the US! My dream trip. I had met them back when Becky lived in Sacramento and we just had a great time talking and eating. And the talking was the best!
For the month of June, in honor of Father's Day, I asked the women at church to find out their husbands' , dad's, guy's favorite hymn so could schedule them. Our minister's favorite was one form the "old" hymnbook (the "new " one was put out in 1985. not really new!) Anyway, I thought, no big deal, I will go to a copy center and make copies from the old book. come Thou Fount of Every Blessing...two stores later and three (!) machines and two clerks...finally, got my 80 copies and Staples is getting a big kudo from me! Because it was a page from a book the clerk couldn't do it, but told me I could with the self print machine. Which promptly said need new toner, so they sent me to another machine, which had different issues because of the tow ladies who had just been there "adjusting" it for their pictures they were copying...anyway, after a long time for a "quick print", I have the copies and we can proceed with the hymns today. thak heaven the other favorite is Onward, Christian Soldiers! (And of course, the regular organist is out of town, so I had to get bigger copies of the music to the pianist who will be playing. At 9 months pregnant, I am keeping my fingers crossed she makes it!)
Enjoy the family time, games and your Sunday rest!

Good morning, all. Another sunny day in CA. Expected high is 89º. I think it will be higher than that here as it has been getting hotter by the date.
At last I'm feeling up to doing laundry. I'm just glad I bought a couple of new summer tops which kept me from having to iron another couple. Love the tops, hate the ironing.
Thank goodness I have never had to make numerous copies of anything. Have enough trouble with one.
Can.t think of anything else to say except have a great day.

Hello.....we are back in Ohio @ the Shelby house...for now.
I keep telling myself...2 more weeks and this will be done. Hopefully the closing on this house will be tomorrow...I'll believe that one when it happens. Thank heavens the closing on the other house won't be until closer to the 17th to the 19th...we'll see. I was hoping for this next weekend, but they can't have things done by then. I'm fine with that as long as they let us store our stuff there. We completely filled the one large garage, part of the smaller garage, and then the one basement room & it's closet. Whew!!!! Thank heavens we had plenty of help. The "kids" are finally old enough to be major help. I even had Blaise carrying light weight stuff...made him feel important. Kathy wanted to take him back to my Mom's at first, but we got everyone busy & it went fine. It was great seeing Aunt J & Mike...got to show them the place & bounce ideas around. The kitchen is SO BIG...TONS of storage. We've definitely decided the small "bedroom" that they've been using as a file & copier room will become my pantry. My SIL brought over to my Mom's sloppy joes, mac salad, & watermelon. I made some baked beans & slice up a fresh pineapple. Went to the store & got junk food, pop, & buns. After dinner when played cards. My nephew stopped over with his new girlfriend. She's very nice. TALL!!! The funny part....to make a long story short...her hometown is Granville, OH which is where my BF Maureen lives. I ask if she knew Mo by chance & here they are close family friends with Mo's partner in her practice & they've met her at parties. SMALL WORLD!!!
This morning we went to church, had a quick bite to eat before leaving, and was on the road by 10am. Kathy was suppose to help with the driving, but she slept the entire ride home. I was just super grateful she was already there when we got there, because she had stayed the night at a friend of hers and I was afraid she would be up all night & not get there until close to noon. Corky is currently napping & has a club re-fit at 4pm and then will be driving back to PA afterwards to start work tomorrow at 7am. Here again...I'm fretting about him doing that. I'm so worried he'll have an accident either tonight or tomorrow because he's too tired. This has been an exhausting week. If we get through the next 7 days, I think we'll survive. I can unpack and organize slowly but surely.
Bethina...I didn't think you were moving. I thought your parents nixed that idea...what did I miss?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHARON!!!!!
Have a good one all!

hoping you come back in and read Paula.
when I was organist at church ,.. we did have a copyright license to reprint music.. legally... but.... the copyright applies primarily if you are using the music to sing in a PAID performance...also if you buy one copy of a choir song and print off a dozen more. is illegal and not fair to the publishers.
I could copy music. for a one time singing.( or playing in my case)..... but you are supposed to destroy the copies afterwards.... so a good suggestion I will make you... once that service is over. gather up the copies and burn them... there is a fine if they are found in the church music files.. (and you were ever investigated.).. the girl at the store was doing the right thing... ...(did the church not have a copy machine in the office?.. all you needed was the words, ,right?...) sounds like you had "Fun"?Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.

I wanted the music and words, but it would have been much easier if i would have just printed the verses and stuck them in the program. I don't have keysvtomthe church anymore...a bummer at a time like this when I could have used the copier, but good that no one calls and needs me to go over to the church, etc and let them in...
I did gather all the copies afterward and will shred them. Tax laws and copyright laws are really important for a church to be aware.
I almost always come back to read posts and see who all has checked in
Today is pretty hot outside and my neighbors are out in their pool, so even if I wanted to swim, my bratty dog and her bratty dog bark through the fence at each other.
She has company and I am being a good neighbor and staying in ( some days it feels too hot to even swim!)
