Good Evening. Thought I'd check in tonight since I probably won't get the chance again until Monday. It's was a gorgeous day to go packing a truck & literally 2 minutes after we put the truck door down it poured rain.
What a week. NO...we STILL haven't closed on this house. They now PROMISE us Monday...I'll believe that one when it happens. That bank is so full of horse manure that it's covering their eyeballs. They PROMISED us that it would be Thursday and the latest Friday. Thank goodness we didn't have a closing scheduled this week on the PA house.
We got the truck loaded with almost all the boxes that I had packed (found a couple afterwards down in the basement...oops!) plus all the other junk in the garage. Man do I have my work cut out for my this coming week! Our pastor came around 2pm and helped for a couple hours. I was so glad, because I was running out of energy & muscles....so was Corky. We finished up about 6pm. We all got showered and then I went to KFC for some dinner & brought it back.
There were some other blessings throughout the day. Next Friday is our neighbor garage sale day. There is absolutely NO WAY we could get the moving truck down our street let alone our driveway. So I called U Haul & requested the truck on Thursday and ask if she could give us a discount on the extra day...she gave it to us free!!! The other blessing is that Corky got called back to work for at least 2 months starting MONDAY....4/10's. So I ask if I could come Thursday, sign the paperwork, and get the key, and she said yes. That way Corky can either get the truck late Thursday when he gets home here or very early Friday morning before the garage sale madness begins. The timing isn't great as far as him going back to work, but we'll take it. He'll ride back with us Sunday and turn right back around after packing clothes and go back to PA. I couldn't do it, but it doesn't seem to bother him. I worry about him, but he told me not to.
Prayers would be very much appreciated in all this confusion. A visit would be wonderful Aunt J. I'll be too pooped to come your way, so you'll have to come see us.
