    Good Morning!

Rain Rain Rain! For the first time in years we are no longer in a drought, and our area lakes are full. That is good news, I guess, but we are getting like Donna. We need some sunshine.

Huge clean out finished. My niece even wanted my mattress covers, and the rest is headed for Goodwill. Feeling much lighter, and now I have some wiggle room in a few places.

Hope all is well and that you have a good day. Hugs~~~~

Good morning, and (whatever your weather) HAPPY SPRING!
Today is the Vernal Equinox...the day and the night will be equal in length.
I'm not sure that WE could tell, though. We have cloudy weather ahead today, and possible a bit of rain as well. Yesterday we had rain on and off. And the day before a goodly amount of rain.

Pat, that is my favorite picture of adorable Snoopy! Thank you for posting it.

I'm feeling a bit odd this morning. Kind of a semi-dizziness. I'm sure it will pass, but I'll probably go back to bed when this wave of it settles down. I won't try to walk as long as it lasts. One more side effect of my medication.

Well, the sun isn't even close to being up yet. A couple more hours to go.
I'll be back later to read, and post again if anything interesting happens..

Have a beautiful spring day! ☀️

      🌵

good groggy morning. I took a Claritan yesterday evening and it really cleared out or dried up my head and chest, but I could have slept more. I guess for me, I will take one right after dinner if I need it...and I won't be using one every night. But I feel so much better for it.
I got my hair cut back with layers and it looks so much better. We'll see how I keep it up. You know how hair looks fabulous at the salon...
This week lhas plodded along and finally, it is Friday! I think. No appointments tomorrow and I think I am taking a "me" day. Meaning I will do whatever I want...within a 30 mile radius.
What I really want is to go to a few shops and then eat out for lunch. We'll see.
Maye, the purging continues! I take a black bag with me when I am going into a room, put something in it and try for at least one thing in each room. The daycare bedroom is where I have all the blankets, etc. I washed extra blankets and will take them to Goodwill tomorrow. I also have a huge bag of diapers that I will donate at church. Right now I have only one in diapers and these I have are all smaller than the ones she wears.
I have talked on too long. I need to go start the day!
Elaine, maybe your drought being over will bode well for us...or maybe, at the least, it will lower beef prices. Anyway, glad to hear you are up in your water levels. The news here is pretty dismal about water.
Have a great day! Doing the Spring dance here!

              Good morning all!

We had lots of rain yesterday. Today they predict rain and sun. The sun is out at the moment.

Not much planned for the day but the usual Friday things. But I have two things to fix and will try to get those done.

              Have a good day all!

Oh, Paula!!! Those diapers make such excellent cleaning & polishing cloths!!!! I still have a few from my last baby, who is now 41❗️ I really do. Tee shirts, too, that E discards --- I cut them down to a workable size, and find he uses these for cleaning lots of things as well as polishing shoes. These don't leave lint behind. I keep them in a box in my utility room.

Hey, Maye. Enjoy what has to be the LAST of the snow til next winter! 🌺

Hi, Nalani, Beth, and everyone else!

Good Morning to all...I know it has been awhile since I posted...I am doing so much better now, FINALLY!! They told me to slow down on the weight loss and just try for healthy for now...weight lost 107 lbs.afraid some of that is from hair loss also, will have to buy a wig pretty soon if it doesn't stop falling out. I recently lost my best friend of many, many years, she had just turned 72, she had been sick since July, and went from the hospital to nursing home...sad time..been helping her daughter with the things at her house. Since I am feeling better I have been getting in contact with friends again, and those visits have been WONDERFUL! We recently had new quartz countertops put in and hubby is now doing the back splash, love that he can do it himself, BUT he is so darn messy, LOL...We are having a surprise birthday party for hubby's Grandfather on Sat., he will be 90 yrs. old, still lives by himself, cooks, shops, cleans his house, drives, etc. so I have been in the kitchen getting things ready for tomorrow. I don't spend much time on the computer anymore, been here at this house a year and for most of it I have been sick or not well so I am finally getting out and shopping and starting to actually do a bit of decorating..I am so looking forward to Donna/cookielady's visit, just want it to be a relaxing, enjoyable time for both of us..
Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

Hi Sharon! It's so good to see you back!
Congrats on that weight loss. That's one thing you shouldn't try to hurry.
As for the hair loss - mine has gotten thinner - I take a vitamin, Hair, Skin, & Nails by Nature's Bounty. It helps. You should see a difference in 30 days. It's worth a try. Krogers often has it Buy One Get One Free.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend passing away.
Have a great visit with Donna!

Sharon, good to see you here. Mi read on Facebook about your friend. So sorry; I know you miss her.
I bet your hair will come back in. Once my friend's weight loss stopped, her hair started growing again.
Excited for you and your counters!

Good Afternoon! We had a few HUGE wet snowflakes this morning, but they melted quickly. The sun is trying to peek out right now....nice!

Yesterday just kind of flittered away. I thought I was going to have to do food for a funeral tomorrow, but I got a call from the church early yesterday that the dinner has been moved to a different location because something else was planned at our church for mid-afternoon, and that just wasn't going to work for them. They weren't planning on being back from the funeral until 1-1:30pm, so having to be out of there by 3pm was pushing it. The pastor called last night & they ask if we could provide 4 crock pots of main dish items. Since I'm the funeral dinner person, I took charge of finding the people. I'm roasting a turkey & slicing it down & putting it in a crockpot to stay warm tomorrow.

I then ordered a pizza for dinner from Domino's since they are having a 50% off sale on their pizza's. I ordered & paid for it online & had Kathy pick it up. She went with Blaise & I last night to the event at the preschool. He got to hold a box turtle, a snake, and see a screeching owl. The kids LOVED it. Found out at supper that Kathy got her tax refund and is going today to get her back tattoo finished. Talk about being pissed off. We've been helping her & this is what she does. She's the poster child for stupidity!!! We can somehow smoke, drink, & get tattoos, but we can't buy food or pay bills. I'll be so glad when we move & I don't have to see what's going on. I WILL NOT be sending money. Stupid, stupid, stupid. On a high note, she has a 2nd interview at Meijer's and the guy basically told her she has the job, but they have a routine of interviews they HAVE to do. This is good. It'll still be a few weeks before she starts though.

On a good note, got a call from our realtor in PA, and she told me she had a great sit down meeting with the couple that made a lousy offer on our house a month ago. She educated them on buying a HOME. The still LOVE our house and it's very possible they are going to make another offer on it, but a respectful one this time. They other realtor (my former golf partner) advised them not to offer any more. That our house wasn't worth it. Gee...with friends like that, who needs enemies? Anyways, she thought I could use some good news since we both were down on Monday when we talked.

This morning I had to go to H&R Block to get our taxes...some good news. Came home & was on the phone almost the whole time until it was time to take Blaise to school. FINALLY talked to my cousin Karen. That girl is way too busy. I had planned to ice some sugar cookies, but that hasn't happened. Will get the icing made & might start on them tomorrow afternoon after the house showing here & after delivering the crock pots of food to the church in the neighboring town.

Has Mickie posted lately? Have a good one all!

In the 40s and gloomy but no snow on this first day of Spring. I sure am sorry for your snow Maye but sure am glad it isn't snowing here!! Been running errands and fielding smallish problems. All is settled and my afternoon is back to it's lazy self. Forgot to go to the bank but did remember to pick up my meds. No bills in the mail. After a couple of 80* days this latest cold spell feels so cold and the damp isn't making it feel any warmer.. I even turned the heat up a smidge. Think I will make another pot of coffee and call it a day. Stupid basketball on all evening...how boring...that means no Amazing Race. Blues played last night so no hockey tonight either. Looks like an early bed time..
