Stupid laptop

I have no idea what is going on! Today, my laptop is 2 months old. It is a Toshiba with Windows 8. It has been going haywire for almost a week. I cannot get on FB, I can't get to my Start buttons / page. I can get to the RT and Google. The stupid computer has changed my browser from AOL to MSN. GRRRRR I need to take it to Staples because I have a service contract there, but have no way to get there.

I cant get Netflix and they said it would be 72 hours (ends at 9pm today) waiting time for them to fix the darn thing. I just hope they can get it fixed. I keep getting, "Whoops, an error has occurred..." I REALLY need to get this piece of junk working!

Darn! Computer problems just send me over the top! I hope you find someone to help soon. Could a local Techy friend ask questions on their Facebook for ideas or for a safe reputable name?

I had a computer tech person spend 2 1/2 hours working on this. I was lucky because the first hour is free. He had no luck and will research the problem more and comeback on Tuesday. His opinion will most likely be that it has to be sent back to Toshiba for replacement. MS Windows 8.1 is kaput. It is the reason I have to keep signing-in here. I didn't have to do that on my ipad!
