During my first big surgery I was given the toxin from the pufferfish; they needed me very still during the tricky surgery.
I awoke to the voice of a nurse explaining why I felt totally paralyzed. Its scary to not be able to move or respond in any way. I was frustrated because she was asking questions, and I was unable to answer or even open my eyes, til the anesthetic completely wore off.
