  • Frog launched by NASA

    Got this yesterday from DD.

Found a story on space.com corroborating that the image is from NASA and not doctored, but without specifics on how the frog happened to get caught in the launch blast.

(place curser on object in the pic and left click to zoom)

Not photo-shopped, Yeah, it really happened.
NASA has cameras all around a launch, and some engineer spotted it in the post-launch pics.
Apparently, while the rocket is sitting waiting for launch, the super-cooled liquid fuel creates a lot of condensation on the outside of the rocket,
which falls down and creates a pool.
    Frog found the pool.
    Engineers launched the rocket.
    Pool vaporized.
Frog got launched as well as the rocket.

I can't decide if this is pathetically funny, or sad.

I read about that too. I couldn't decide what it was either...kind of a mixture of both I guess.

I would have thought the frog would have been vaporized in the blast. Weird.
