I was told that its an overall 50% chance of effectiveness. It all depends whether the vaccine makers select the right combination of virus' (3). There's all kinds of virus' out there, and they have to figure out which ones are worse each year.
I find that for myself its been a good year for the vaccine...no side effects, and the occasional symptom lasts for just a few hours, and then I'm fine again. I have a friend who says the vaccine always makes her sick....but she is always catching something or other.
The guy in the picture sure is a dramatic spectacle getting his shot. No way are today's shots that agonizing!

I haven't had one in several years...they always made me sick..and I would still get the flu. Well this year, I decided to get one. It didn't make me sick and thank God, and knock on wood I haven't gotten the flu. But, when I heard that it wasn't effective...I thought, what the heck? Not happy.
