Which country ceded Florida to the United States in 1819?

    France

    Canada

    Spain

    Mexico

    🗣

Answer: Florida was first discovered in 1513 by Juan Ponce de Leon who claimed the land as a possession of Spain. Florida continued to remain a Spanish possession until the end of the Seven Years' War when Spain ceded it to the Kingdom of Great Britain in exchange for the release of Havana. In 1783, after the American Revolution, Great Britain ceded Florida back to Spain. Finally, in 1819, Spanish minister Do Luis de Onis and U.S. Secretary of State John Quincy Adams signed the Florida Purchase Treaty, in which Spain agreed to cede the remainder of its old province of Florida to the United States.

Which state produces the most roses every year for Valentine's Day?

        California

        Florida

        Texas

        North Carolina

        🌹🌹🌹

        Answer:
The State of California produces 60% of American roses, but most roses sold on Valentine's Day in the U.S. are imported from South America. The U.S. buys more than 1 billion roses each year from overseas, mainly imported from Columbia. Because American producers are unable to grow enough roses in time to meet the increase in demand, the U.S. is forced to import some of the roses it needs for Valentine's Day sales. Approximately 110 million roses, mostly red, will be sold and delivered within the three-day Valentine's Day time period.

Who was the only U.S. president to serve two non-consecutive terms?

          John Quincy Adams

          Theodore Roosevelt

          Grover Cleveland

          George Washington

          🗣

          Answer:
Stephen Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and 24th president of the United States. Cleveland is the only president to serve two non-consecutive terms (1885-1889 and 1893-1897) and therefore is the only individual to be counted twice in the numbering of the presidents. Cleveland worked as a lawyer and then served as mayor of Buffalo, New York, and governor of New York state before assuming the presidency in 1885. Grover Cleveland vetoed twice as many congressional bills as all 21 of the presidents who preceded him combined - 414 vetoes in his first term.

Which U.S. president is on the $2 bill?

            Woodrow Wilson

            Harry S Truman

            James Monroe

            Thomas Jefferson

            💵

            Answer:
The United States two-dollar bill ($2) is a current denomination of U.S. currency. The third U.S. President, Thomas Jefferson, is featured on the obverse of the note. The reverse features a reproduction of the painting The Declaration of Independence by John Trumbull. $2 bills are seldom seen in circulation as a result of banking policies with businesses which has resulted in low production numbers due to lack of demand. This comparative scarcity in circulation, coupled with a lack of public awareness that the bill is still in circulation, has also inspired urban legends and occasionally has created problems for people trying to use the bill to make purchases.

                                Answer:
The origin of Ronald McDonald involves Willard Scott (at the time, a local radio personality who also played Bozo the Clown on WRC-TV in Washington, D.C. from 1959 until 1962), who performed using the moniker "Ronald McDonald, the Hamburger-Happy Clown" in 1963 on three separate television spots. Scott, who went on to become NBC-TV's Today Show weatherman, claims in his book that he originally created the Ronald McDonald character at the fast-food restaurant chain's request. The clown went on to become one of the world's best-known icons. By 1971, Ronald had ditched the food tray hat and cup nose, and was sporting a more familiar red wig. The official clown has been played by at least ten different actors since 1963.
