Swaggart is the cousin of rock'n'roll pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis and country music star Mickey Gilley. Together, cousins Jerry Lee Lewis, Jimmy Swaggart, Mickey Gilley, and David Beatty made up a rock īnī roll band in 1949. Three of the four boys became nationwide celebrities while one, David Beatty, became a small-town preacher in Cleveland.
