Maye, some women give birth easily. (Of my 5, 2 were quick and totally painless; with the other 3, they medicated me, which greatly prolonged the birthing, and it was painful, and 2 of those had some complications.)
Anyway, "peasant women" are sturdier people, often known to give birth and get right back to their jobs or chores. She is obvious one of the sturdier people.
Also, the peasant women are healthier getting their food from their gardens. The more elite classes had a totally different diet, fancy foods & not so healthy, and little in the way of exercise.

Also, the peasant children are taught that the older ones take care of the younger ones, and when old enough they all helped with the chores.
