Sugar Cookie
2 Eggs
1 C Pwd Sugar
1 C Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
1 C Crisco
4 1/4 C Flour
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Bkg Soda
1 tsp Crm of Tartar
1 C Oil
Beat together the first 4 ingredients then set aside. Now mix together (I used my KA Mixer) the shortening and other dry ingredients. Once crumbly, add the oil and egg mixture. Roll into walnut sized balls (smaller if you like). Flatten with bottom of glass. Sprinkle with colored sugar (if you so desire....I actually dipped the bottom of the glass in the colored sugar then flattened the cookies). Bake at 375 12-13 minutes.
Depending on the size of your dough balls, you will get 3 - 3 1/2 doz cookies. These cookies literally melt in your mouth. They are FANTASTIC!!!
