I'm glad to see it posted in the annex. It sounds delicious. Now all I need is the ingredients and enough people to eat it with me. Looks yummy.

I originally started making it in a 10" deep pie shell because the original recipe called for 1 1/2 C coconut & 1 1/2 C chopped pecans. That was WAY too much for a 9" deep pie shell let alone a regular 9" pie shell. That's when I discovered if I just cut those two ingredients to 1 C each, that it was perfect. So if you'd like to make a 10" deep pie, just increase the coconut & pecans to 1 1/2 C each. The rest of the recipe is the same. For the contest I made meringue with the 4 egg whites & took the pie out 5 minutes before it was finished, and using a large star tip, I piped the meringue around the edges & finished baking the pie until the meringue was golden brown.
