Mater's are ripening on the Vine

My garden is somewhat suffering with all this wicked heatwave we've been experiencing, but I've been keeping the mater's watered good and they are starting to ripen. Yep, I couldn't believe it, but I have several big ones getting ripe. Yoohoo! Can't wait til I can pick them off the vine and eat one right there in the garden.

I have 5 varieties planted in the garden and yesterday I noticed 2 more plants coming up in the flower garden out front. The seeds probably came from the compost bucket when I used it to water some plants out there.

Do you grow your own?

My son puts in a big garden and he doesn't even have his tomatoes in yet!! A ripe tomato sitting on a grilled cheese sandwich..yum..I guess I'll have to wait until July.

I started tomatoes from seed and have a big bunch of them, but they are still in the hot house. Too small to put out in the garden....cats would have them all dug up!
