Tea Party

I'm going to be hosting an informal tea at our house and have invited 2 of our neighbors. They have been so very nice to us. One of them brought us Honeybell Oranges. OMG, are they good and sweet. Love those.


I'm serving hot tea, small sandwiches, peanut butter cookies and a variety of petite cheesecakes. They will have a goody bag of PB cookies to take home with them.


Hope everyone will have a great week. We will be extra busy this coming Wednesday with doctor appts. all day, new patient appts. for primary care to get established and our routine eye exams and glasses.

What a great idea! Plus getting to know your neighbors is a very good thing. Young people don't seem to understand that. Have a wonderful time...

Good idea! I try to keep up with my neighbors, but everyone seems to be so busy.

when we first moved to this house 11 yrs ago... I counted the "neighborhood". and there are are 9 houses along our strip of country road ..side by side...and 3 across the road from us ... I a house cat and so I went to each of the houses to introduce myself. tell them about having a gray kitty.. give them my name and phone number. in case kitty would ever get out .. and they would see her.. the friendly of these people became good friends. and I made pie and baked buns , jelly.. and shared with them. we never became "run in and out of house " friends. but we did become.. talk in the yard, friends. ... ...and we know each other by sight ,, wave as they drive by..

On the other hand, David knows our three immediate guy neighbors.. period.. our back yards touch . and the man across the road is just a friendly elderly guy.. is that a guy thing?.
