  • Indian Summer

Well that's what they are calling it, we are still in T-shirts and shorts and it's mid May!

We have nearly finished paving the new paths, finally I will be able to walk to the clothesline without walking on grass. We put a ranch-slider into the side of the shed and have another one to install, this has added extra light and saves rather a lot on the power bill surprisingly. The chook house was finished a while ago and we still have to put up the last of the netting, Mantoy's hospital visit slowed down that work.
The fireplace was installed so we are ready for winter whenever it decides to arrive.

I was wondering why I hadn't visited in the last few weeks, now I KNOW why!!

WE were wondering why you hadn't been here, Cynthia. Got a bit worried, with all the other stuff going on in your life.

Your winter won't arrive, and neither will our Spring. It should be in the high seventies here, but we're stuck in the fifties. No shorts or t-shirts if you're sane, with the wind blowing it's cold.

Glad you got all of that work done, you've done my share also, and now I can go take a nap!

Glad you are ok, Cynders. What is wrong with Mantoy? Now it seems to be his turn for being sick. And what is a 'chook hours'? If you put up netting is it what we might call a green house?

Sheesh ... here we're still awaiting the arrival of Spring!

Sounds as if you've been busy. Didn't know about Mantoy's hospital visit. Hope you're both okay.

Mantoy spent a couple of days in hospital and has developed AF, probably from all the stress he has been under.

Spoke to soon about the Indian Summer, evidently we are in for a polar blast this week?

Nalani, time for new glasses? Chook HOUSE is a house for chooks/chickens.

Atrial Fibrillation, just means he's got no rhythm sometimes, on betablockers and Warfarin. We see the Dr tomorrow but the treatment generally involves a stop/start using electric paddles...we think that is QUITE scary enough thank you very much!

Who is hogging all the illnesses hmmm? I hope you are wearing that couch out recovering!!

Hey! I've only got the one. The rest of my household are damnable healthy.

It's the computer chair that's looking after me, but yes, I am resting!
