  • Shark Steam Cleaner....or Pocket Mop...

Not sure which is correct. Does anyone have it....and what do you think?

Have been considering buying one....to steam clean floors... if they really do work well...would be a good investment. Right now...I do all my hard floors by hand...do not like mops... Would like to start using somethng that is really good..not my hands.. Mops just don't do it for me.

Schmitty I have a steam cleaner but don't really use it on the floors, takes to long to drag out and let heat up then cool down and put away, I do use it in the bathroom and on my stove when it gets to bad. I think ladybug has one she uses on her floors, I know she has mentioned steaming the floors before.

Yes, Mickie I LOVE my floor steamer. Will NEVER use soap on floors again. Soap just attracts dirt.

I do not have hardwood. 4 rooms and a hall of vinyl, and a hall, entry, and area in front of the fireplace with tile. I can do it all in 20 minutes and it stays clean forever.

Mine is certainly not as lightweight as a mop, but the weight doesn't give me a problem.

I guess I've had this this about 6 years. If it quits on me, I'm getting another one immediately.

Thanks Elaine... what I needed...someone to tell me how wonderful it is... I will definitely buy it...I don't have hardwood floors either... the new flooring I am getting to replace the carpet in my small family room and hallways will be Pergo--my gd Libby, who is an Interior Decorator, advised me real wood gets damaged by dogs...and knowing Duke will be here for visits and overnights,,, the alternate wood like flooring is my choice.

Now I am excited about getting the Shark Steam Pocket... want to try to get the one with the carpet attachment...so can steam clean the carpets as well...

Mickie, my Shark Pocket just does hand-held type things. It has lots of attachments for different applications, but it doesn't do floors.

The one I use I did buy online. In fact, I bought 3 of them and gave 2 to friends.

There are many different steam mops. I would just google and read about each and then decide which one would work best for you.

I should tell you that Donna bought one because I recommended it, but I don't think she cared for it at all. Maybe you should ask her what she didn't like about it.

Thanks Elaine.....I don't usually order on line...have had bad experiences with it in the past... how can you return things ... seems like a lot of bother to me. One of the main reasons ... but will do as you say and ask Donna... thanks. I have done some research on Shark....seems it has many good reviews... not the one that does showers and is hand held...but the one for floors....

I've been looking at the shark steam cleaner almost a year.. I went to Wal-mart and they had two different models, did not like the looks of either one of them.Myfloors are hardwood and laminate. Bedrooms /hall still have carpet.

I felt like the steam would be so much easier for me, I cannot get on my knees anymore and stooping over gets rough
going to check out the one Elaine has posted.
