    Morning! Sunny out but suppose to rain last I heard. Did rain a bit yesterday morning and not as hot. I was up much earlier but went back to sleep. No reason to get up today,,no plans.

    School called last night and the investigation is over and classes will be on a normal schedule Monday. The kid with the gun will not be allowed back in school. They are sure he acted alone but there will be a police presence at the school tomorrow. Still upsets my stomach!

    The only thing I have to do today is mop the kitchen floor. I do not know who dripped what but whatever it is is causing anyone walking through to stick to the floor. How come I notice when I have spilled something? It doesn't take a special spidey sense to realize you are dripping! Of course then you have to wonder why there are always crumbs under the chairs of the two males in this house after every meal. Can you imagine being a cafeteria worker in an all boys school?

    Hope each and every one of you have super duper plans for today and enjoy the day to the fullest. Ballgame this afternoon...still playing Chicago. Two or three games in Arizona then back to the final series with Chicago. Not cheering yet but looking good for the playoffs.

    Good luck Maxie!

    I am headed to Bible Study in about 45 minutes and haven’t made it out of bed. Feeling a little depressed today. Wishing I could be at my granny’s birthday party! I have to work. When I asked how hard it would be to give me today off chef just looked at me. I will face time them around 3.

      Good morning.
      I am not dressed yet, but will be when I’m done here. Don’t know why, but I got less than 3 hrs of sleep last night. I kept doing relaxation in an attempt to stay asleep.
      but after I’m dressed, I will go down to Brunch, and check my mail, and join the world of the living again.

      That said, let’s all have a zippity-do-dah day! ☀️
      And tomorrow is the first day of autumn.
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Create a beautiful day wherever you go.
        Good Sunday morning to you ALL! Posters and readers...
        Yesterday was full, full, full. by the time I got home from my last commitment I was just plain tired. I had been to the morning activity for the women and resisted breads of all kinds and then shopped for my mother and the daycare and resisted the yummy things there and then at the end of the day there was a Baptism at church which I hadn't planned on attending until someone came to my house and dropped off a gift for the baptism and I just said ok..and I did have cookies to take for that. which I was going to send with someone and now had two items! Kind of like a game of Hot Potato! And I was holding it when the music stopped, so I had one more thing to go to with a table full of cookies!!! I was smart and bought cookies instead of making them and (here is the smart part) bought cookies I don't like!~ No taking any leftovers home for me...
        I also did not bring home any leftover soup. I made a double batch of the corn chowder which the biggest pot ws totally emptied and gave the other smaller (3 quarts) away. I love it and Becky does not and I would have eten it all in a day.
        Today is truly going to be a day of rest!! I swear I am not even going to answer the door. Church and going to my mom's are the only two items on my list today.
        Pork roast and salad for dinner and prepping spaghetti for daycare. I probably will have a food check this week and I want to be so eady for it that. Like meals ready at the times I have posted (which is when she will arrive for whatever surprise visit) and lunch is the one that is the hardest: hot meal, usually, and kids need to be inside and washed up and ready to eat. After playing ...
          Good Morning! The sun is shining and thanks a lot Maxie for the hot humid temps. Blah! Oh well, just close the windows & let the a/c do it's thing.
          The last several days have been SUPER busy. Not only pies for the stand, but pies for the farmers market, several cakes, and some cookies. Josh jokes every week that he has pies left from the market, but he doesn't. So yesterday when he said he had 5 pie left & 7 fell when a kid was chasing a dog and pulled the table cloth, I thought for sure he was joking. I told him he really thought long & hard to come up with that story. He then called me & told me he wasn't joking. DANG! He then told me he was done for the season. Works for me. Unfortunately I'm the one holding the bag with the unsold pies. Next year's arrangement will be different. It was like a big weight lifted from my shoulders knowing I didn't have to bake his pies anymore. He had ordered 60 pies, and I made 28 pies for the stand plus pies for all 3 restaurants. I'm whipped. I just sneezed, and I feel that trickling down my throat...a cold is coming on.
          This morning we went to church, then I delivered the stand pies. I'm debating about whether to take a nap first, or assemble pies then take a nap. I think the nap is going to win. I hope Kathy brings Blaise all the way home.
          Later!
            Cookie how do you transport those pies? Are they boxed and stackable? Allergies are picking up around here and the warmth, humidity is not helping. Happy for you pie season is over and now on to cookies..aren't they just as hard to do with the decorating? Take the afternoon off...find a ballgame on tv and take a nap.
            For down at the stand I have 11 different pie baskets. I've figured out a way to get the most pies into each. One rectangle basket I can fit 6 mini pies in it, then flip a cookie sheet on top of them and then put another layer on top. I use my 10" pie pans as "covers" and get 3-5 pies in the square baskets. I'm the queen of stackers in the baskets and in my refrigerators & freezers. Now for the farmers market, I boxed his 8" pies and labeled them, and 10 of them would fit in those huge Aldi's grocery bags, and then the mini pies I bagged & put them in those big strawberries boxes. Those lil pies can't go in bags. Actually once I start cookie season, pies are easier. This new gal that's started with us said she was a finisher at the last place, so we are hoping we can put her onto putting the finishing touches (except for the sugar cookies) on cookies and then once frozen, she'll box up orders.
          Forgot to mention that yesterday a census worker stopped by. They are making sure addresses are really buildings standing and the empty lot from 10 years ago is a legit address today...whatever. Anyway we got one of those personal visits because the numbers on our house do not match the numbers on the mailbox. The address here was changed right before Jon bought the house and the house numbers are ceramic so he left them. The mailbox in the front are clearly showing the correct address. But for some stupid reason it confuses the amazon driver and on occasion UPS although I do not get it. House numbers are 3 digits and actual address on mailbox is 5 digits. If neighbors on each side have 5 digit addresses why would the 3 on our house confuse you? So looks like we have to be serious about changing the house numbers. Hate to pry them off the siding and heaven knows what it will leave as an impression mark. But would not want to confuse the US Census Bureau...especially one under this administration that would like to eradicate anybody or any thing not up their standards. So beware..the census people are on the move already!
          It is 89 degrees in Aiken right now. Feels like the polar express has hit. LOL It’s been up in the high 90s forever. Tomorrow is the first day of fall and I am a bit leery because I figure we’re going to have a hard winter. Hopefully, I’m wrong!
          I went to Mass this morning and then to Adult Ed. Today was the first time I’ve been to adult dead in months because of the summer break. It was really good to be back. Today’s lesson was on Saint Francis of Assisi.
          Today has been really weird. It just doesn’t feel like Sunday and I keep having to ask Alexa or Google what time it is. I have an appointment with my cardiologist tomorrow and I keep thinking I’ve missed the appointment because I don’t know what day - no less what time it is! I HATE being disoriented!
          I have a friend who is being ordained a transitional deacon on 3 October. It’s also his birthday that day & I have got to get a card made for him. He’s going to be ordained in Rome and his mom and dad are flying out the end of this week. I need to get on the stick and get it done. (A transitional deacon is one who will be ordained a priest. A permanent Deacon is one who will not become a priest. A permanent Deacon is usually, but not always, married.)
          I did get some good news this week. My son Donald (the one who is in prison) finally got his colonoscopy and he is cancer-free!) He did not say why he’s been having rectal bleeding for a year. Sorry, TMI. LOL
          I just tried to post a picture, but it said that the URL is missing. Maybe I will have better luck next time.
          I have all 16 seasons of NCIS DVDs and I have almost gotten through season two. LOL. My problem is that I am having trouble hearing. (I just can’t win for losing!) I am supposed to get season five of Good Witch on Friday! On Friday night, season 10 of Blue Bloods premieres! Blue Bloods has got to be my most favorite TV show of all time! My grandfather was a sergeant in the NYPD (Badge number 4! I guess now they call them shields.)
          JoG: Has your phone number change? If it has, would you PM me, please? Or email me.
          Maxie, Things have really changed since my kids were in school. It is so sad that you have to worry about students bringing guns to class. Drugs / alcohol were the crime of the day when my kids were in school. Unfortunately, more kids were doing drugs then than they are bringing guns to school now. (I guess.)
          Well, I guess I better go get my butt in gear and get that congratulations card done. I cannot seem to get motivated to do much these days.
          Have a great rest of Sunday and a terrific week to come! I hope the coming fall is wonderful for everybody.
