Good morning Rounders! This month is almost gone. We got another gully washer yesterday evening.

Today dh has an appointment for his other ankle brace that his foot specialist ordered. It's to help stabilize that ankle where he has another bone spur forming. I sure hope we don't have to go through another surgery.

I watched Naked & Afraid all afternoon, but I just could not stay up for the 2 hour finale.

I'm going to have to go and rustle up some grub. Peace & Plenty.

Good Morning! It's a much cooler and wet day here.

Yesterday I was so tired after posting here, that I took an hour nap. Felt MUCH BETTER after that. Got my 2 cookie doughs mixed up and in the refrig. Made Swt & Sour Carrot Salad to go along with the cabbage & noodles I was taking for supper for cards. Blaise & I then went down and played in the pool for an hour. It was so refreshing since it was so hot & humid.

My middle niece was passing thru btw trips, and joined us for dinner & cards. She'll be back for another quick visit this weekend on her way home from her next adventure. She's loving being independent. She got a teaching job in VA last year. Mom wasn't feeling steady on her feet yesterday, so she rode down with me & I took her home.

This morning Sue is coming to bake cookies with me. I've got an order for some of them tomorrow. Lady locks & almond creams. I really need to get off here & get the icing/fillings made before she gets here. Just got a text from Kathy & she's not taking Blaise. Apparently she has pneumonia and Matt woke up with a fever & throwing up. Oh well. Why should this week be any different.

Good morning...I am up and dressed earlier than what I really do like. I’ve had my breakfast and fed my parents. My friend sent all the left biscuits and gravy home with me yesterday. I am headed to Walmart in a few minutes. Dad and mom will drop me off on there way to feed the animals at my sisters. Then we are coming home and having a nap. No one here slept well last night. My kitty kept me up and mom and dad just didn’t rest well. Mom and I are getting pedicures at some point while they are here. The other thing I did for her birthday was invite her sis and brother-in-law to supper tonight she 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Only 1 will be here tonight. Spagetti and all the fixings for dinner sugar free pineapple cake and vanilla beans cow cream for dessert.

Good Morning...it is much cooler and rainy here too Cookie. In fact it did not get as hot yesterday as predicted. Glad to see the het wave move on especially since I got the power bill. Yikes! And it did not have this latest heat wave on it. Just glad the a/c works and the refrigerator runs!

Never left the house yesterday. Didn't do a thing yesterday either. It was a total day of rest and I even took a little nap. That means I need to do something today like clean up the kitchen and do laundry. Need to call for a haircut and get my toes done this week. Thursday we are meeting up with my sister and two of her kids for lunch along the river in a tourist town. We will be eating on the dock watching the river flow by. Invited my little brother and wife but they have been in Cincinnati for the Cardinal weekend series and weren't sure if they were coming home or traveling on. They love to go! Good for them...I am getting partial to my own bed.

Nothing new..been a lazy hot summer. Grass did not get cut last week because of the heat and I don't think I would have let him cut had he come but he will be here this week and I need to make sure I have exact change to pay him. We cannot pay him by check since he doesn't understand the concept and sometimes I do not have the money laying around. Jon and neighbor Pam used to have one or the other pay if they were not home when he came by but he thinks whoever gives him the money is paying for their yard only. Pam knows his mother and straightens it out but we now each pay for our own yard and with exact change. He doesn't trust me like he does Pam or Jon anyway. I think I am a sweet grandmother type but he thinks I am shifty! Go figure....

Time for another cup of coffee and then decide what to do today. Forgot to pick up her computer this weekend and need to do that too. It is shot and she needs a new one. Enjoy the cooler temps and this nice rain....have a wonderful day!

Good morning.
i can’t believe I slept 7 hours ! But there’s this huge black cloud over our area. I can sleep well if it’s raining, usually. But no rain fell. And temp will rise to 109° today, so it’d not likely to rain. This monsoon season is a real bust!

Last night I started watching Outlander. I did read the entire series when it came out.
But the movie is not like the books. It looks far more violent. And as wild as the old-time Scots were, they showed more in the movies than was described in the books.

I have the crocheted group today. Also wondering what’s going on with the car buyers. I told my son he could drop the price 1K. I just want it to go. It’s no good sitting around.

I should hear about contract signing for the house today. That’s my big event.

Other than that....nothing else going on. But sleeping in, I’m late with breakfast, getting dressed, and getting my day started. Where’s my mocha!☕️

Wow, are you all busy and planning on being busier!
donna, I quit buying that patch from Thrive; I just did not feel a difference and I buy the Men's capsules. I can feela difference in the energy for either, but really like the feel of the men's. Becky uses the women's so we have both here. She drinks the shakes and I used to but now I am taking a break form them and making my own morning drink.

I was ready for a nap yesterday afternoon but went swimming instead and got my energy back. too much sitting with tv after church and reading and some computer stuff and I just needed to move.
Donna, what town is your niece living in VA? That is the state Becky is very interested in moving to after grad school...kind of her 5 year plan. MD is so expensive that she is looking at VA and still be close to DC...

I still have a load of laundry to do today. I will get that going as soon as I am finished here. Two kids will not be here this morning and I was looking forward to them being back from vacation. The new sand got delivered after daycare onFriday so that will be a huge attraction and I will have jour splash pad going for water play as well as the pool for my two swimmrs who are expected. The one girl is suh a no show that I don't count on her until I see her!

Maxie, I was surprised to see the car dealership had all Acer computers. I asked the guy how he liked it (thinking they are a cheaper brand) and he said he is able to do all the finance and work needed on it. so, in getting anew one for Sierra, you may want to look at something less than the top offered...work will have them as needed and then if she ever works form home she can get some thing with all the bells and whistles. I know when we bought this one the guys signed us up and sold us much more than we needed. Big Box store that I can't even think of their name now...anyway, Spencer told his work friends and they were all up in arms that someone sold us so much more than we needed. And he was at Intel and they sure know their computer and needs!

I need to move along.

OUr chicken yesterday was so good! Just some taco seasoning and chicken stock in the crockpot and it made up the best sauce. We both ate it as a taco salad but it would be wonderful over rice!
Jo, if you can eat rice, I would recommend a small rice cooker. I have two and the small one (uses 2 cups water and 1 1/2 cups of rice) is the one I use most. Sticky rice is our favorite!

Beth, you have a great day! Sounds like a good plan going back there.
Donna, you have no idea how I am looking forward to my next order from you! Hope jyou can send some baked pie shells for me to fill here...Your pie dough is the Best!!!

Karlinann the next time you send us a rain wish put a limit on it! I was talking with my sister and she said something about all rain they got so I walked out to check our gauge. It said 5 1/5 inches! I commented that Jon must has hit the gauge while watering last night and she said no we really got that much rain. I did not hear any storms and she said it didn't storm...just rained. Holy Cow! Stopped now but I think we got a plentiful amount!!. I know the gauge was empty because last time I looked it had two Japanese Beetles doing the back stroke and I waited until they were dead before emptying it.

I read the Outlander series except for the last book which I have here...I understand she is writing another 'last book' to the series. Never saw them on tv since we do not get the cable station they are on. Enjoyable but long! Maybe I will go back and read the last one. I seldom read a series without buying the completed one because I hate waiting for the next book but did lose interest after a while. Maybe I will go back and dig out that last book.

The kid at walmart when I was looking said he had an Acer computer...they are a lot cheaper. Sierra is not interested in looking so I will pick up the dead one and leave it up to her to look. I certainly would have been able to find the time to shop if someone was offering me a free computer. She is just spoiled and needs to learn some offers have a time limit. Said they saw the Lion King last night and it was wonderful.

Tried to call for a haircut so hope this isn't the week of her vacation...thought it was next week....so will go out and try for a pedi. Need to start a load of towels and gather whatever else is laying around. Not raining now and suppose to keep the temps in the 80s all week. I really am off to start my day before it is afternoon!
