Good morning Rounders! I really like this indigo color because it's easy on the eyes.

We did not get any rain yesterday. I went back to bed for a couple of hours when dh went to work out. I felt so much better for getting that 2 hrs. I went out and finished mowing the lawn so dh wouldn't have to do it.

Not much happening here. I need to go to the library today to get more books.

    Peace and Plenty.

Morning...going to be another hot one and they have extended our heat warning thru tomorrow. I saw on the morning news it is across the country to the East Coast . Well I gotta tell you I'd rather have heat than cold. No matter how extreme! I was shocked when Jon sent a text saying he was running to walmart so he could paint before the heat started up today. His day off and he is up before light? Must be going to be hot!!

Did nothing yesterday after getting home but read and then last night watched the ballgame. I am reading Where the Crawdads Sing,..I just picked it up in the store and can't figure it out and am half way through it....Let you know when I finish. I know I will finish it for sure! Have nothing planned for today. Certainly not cooking. Well, I do have plans after all, Sierra just texted they are coming by to pick up something around 3 so I know I can get her dad to go out for Chinese. I'll have to put on decent clothes today!

It is hot and slow living around here. This old lady is only going out for food. I will go anywhere for food! Just invite me! Have a wonderful day and stay cool.

    Good morning. ☕️

Not much going on here today. Just another sunny and sizzling day ahead.

Yesterday afternoon I spent on paperwork, and trying to get a statement from the insurance for our realtor. Not one of four insurance employees would come up with a statement letter (we have had no claims). Long story short, the realtor called them and it became a 3-way call, and the insurance gal got my permission to send the realtor the necessary info. Otherwise we couldn’t close the deal and get the contract started. Anyway, we got that much done by 5p.m.

And today I’ll call my son to see how the sale of my car is going.

Not sure what today will bring, but I will be keeping busy with one thing or another.

Hope you all have a very good day. ☀️

Create a beautiful day wherever you go.

I call this ink and size Big Blue, Karlinann! At least it is easy on moring eyes to read as I type (no excuse for the typos other than most days I am in a hurry.)

I have been up and swimming and now ready for my day. I have an appointment at 8:30, then laundry and floors are on the get it done list!
We are taking some things up to Good will when we go up to Kohl's. Two dogs are going to the groomers this morning and our trip to Kohl's will be short and sweet, hopefully. The At&T store is in the same store grouping and we are going there to find out how much Becky owes on her phone. She wants/needs to change her provider because there is o cell reception from AT&T where she works in Chico.

Saturday is my real shopping day for food and I go to a couple of stores...for meat. Walmart does n ot have all the cuts that our pricier store has and sometimes I want brisket or sort ribs or something different from ground beef, roast or chicken.

It is nice and coolish right now. It was 69 when I was swimming early and probably in the 70's now. It will be those triple digits (we hate to say the actual numbers), and that is what makes me change my plans on shopping multiple stores later in the day.

People are really happy and the news media has interviewed the key people who got the petitions started and got the word out about that offender. It all started as a grass roots movement that accomplished its purpose. That doesn't usually happen.
The medical placement group, Liberty Healthcare, said in court that they were offered a property for rent for this client. the landlord said the opposite. He is a mortgage company owner and has other properties he has rented out for offenders in the past...The Red Bluff community now knows who and what he deals in.

We had the best salads for dinner yesterday. Large Italian chopped salads from our favorite pizza place. I always ask for them to add grilled chicken breast. Someone new must have made ours: they were filled to the top and sides of the container. Moe than we have ever had. Neither one of us could eat even half (and I was hungry!) so that will be my lunch today.

I got the best call yesterday afternoon! My friend said her daughter who lives here Just got a call form the adoption agency they had adopted their three girls from asking then if they wanted a newborn boy??? He is the biological brother to the 2 year old they last adopted (she is a half sibling to the twins they first adopted, are you with me?) and of course, Ali said YES! She called her husband , told him, and as soon as he got home from work (he works in the Sacramento area) they went back down to the concord area and I got a cute photo texted to me last night. Unbelievable, unless you Believe that there is a Higher POwer and we sure do! I will be seeing him tomorrow.

On that happy note I will wish you all a great day. I may bake but only if I can get some good peaches. The flat I got were too ripe and we ate only a few of them. I have seen others posting pictures of fruit stand apricots that were yucky inside and some said it was from the fruit sitting too long.

Beth and Maxie and all having that Het Wave: do as Jo and I do: stay in and drink lots and wear cool clothes. It won't be sizzling here until this coming week. Hovering right at 100* this weekend. Where Becky works the a/c is out and needs some far away part. I would thinkthe office managers would bring in some good quality fans. We will see.

      See you all later!

Maye, I have some culinary mysteries I will send to Donna ( I already have her address). It won’t be until next Saturday because I won’t make it home from Redding to our PO in time.
Or maybe just send 1 and if you like it I will send the rest.
I do like the author and her style and her heroine: a bit like Angela Lansbury
Character but probably a little younger. Anyway the books made me smile, lol and hold my breath as the mystery deepend!

I just finished a trilogy by T.R. Ragan...A Jessie Cole detective series. You must read them in order because each book has it's own mysteries with a continuing mystery that continues until the last book. They are thrillers and there is violence but I did read them fast because I wanted to see what the next book unveiled in the continuing story. She wrote a lot of books and I think I will go back and look up some of the others.
      Working...
