GGood morning Rounders! It wouldn't let me start with my font, size and color. Hmmm! How do you like that confused smiley?

So, after I got dh's blood sugar test done yesterday morning I went out to the garden to work off some frustration. Boy did I work it off. I transplanted my biggest Hydrangea from the pot to the ground. I found a nice spot that gets the morning sun and afternoon shade and dug a hole. I had to remove a bunch of roots from a previous tree, but it was not too bad. Thank heavens for big loppers. Some of those roots were big.

I dug out a hole and put lots of water into it and plopped the Hydrangea into it. I then watered the Hydrangea again and tucked the soil around it. It looked good. Then I decided to go over to the bank and see if the rain made anything come up. Yes! The rain finally made the bunches of Cleome seeds I'd thrown down sprout and we are going to have lots of those beautiful flowers on the bank. Not only the Cleome's, but lot's of Vinca flowers as well. That bank is going to be so pretty this summer and fall and winter too.

I certainly worked out my frustration. I was exhausted, but I went ahead and moved all the other pots out of the Lanai. I made a place for the 2 pots with the Hawaiian Tai and English Ivy where they will be out of the blazing sun. I put the pot with the Eucalyptus, Forget Me Not, & English Ivy beside the Hydrangea and it likes it there. Today I will add more potting mix to the pot of Rosemary which is huge, but I don't have a place to put it in the ground. It would not survive the blazing sun and I don't have a shady area for it. When I put it in that huge pot I did not have enough potting soil so it's a low rider, way down in that pot. I will raise it up today, add the new mix and water it good. It can stay where it is on the Lanai and get enough sun.

Yep, I was exhausted the rest of the day. We had hot dogs for dinner. I took Advil. I went to bed early. I pulled so much grass and weeds that my hands ache. It was worth it.

Today is Spaghetti & Meatballs, small green salad, and Vanilla Pudding, SF.

    Peace & Plenty.

    Good morning, ☀️
Another hot sunny day ahead, only 96°. Tomorrow the 100°’s temps return.
Also, today won’t differ much for today’s activities. I’m doing more sorting and tossing today.
Found some old college drawings yesterday. I want to keep them. Some are really cute and frameable .

Yesterday two more DDs and a GD stopped in, and they were an immense help in packing. I now have no dishes or flatware to use, so will have to get some paper dishes and plastic flatware for the week.
    LOL.
Well, today DD flys back home to WA again, but she will be back on Wednesday. Her office called her back. Next Sunday we have a truck rented, and I’ll be moving. She wants to see me settling in my new place. Then I need to call the realtor to get his crew to remove the extras left behind. Once the house is cleaned he will have pictures taken, an open house on the weekend of July 15, and offers will start coming in. The new subdivisions nearby begin at $230-240K, and mine is much lower....he says the house is desirable for families and is in good shape, and should go fast. I guess we will see. But if I can get the amount he promised, then I’m happy. We have a turnover of military families, in addition to families coming in for jobs at the new Amazon facility. I have no decorative landscaping, but do have a gazebo and fire pit in the backyard.

So things are moving along. I’ll be able to rest and relax soon.
Last night was another short-sleep night. Yes, I feel the pressure of deadlines. I’m still dreaming of all the packing. Crazy, huh? Today I definitely take a nap.

Have a beautiful, enjoyable day. ☕️

Good morning...Yesterday ended up being really good. I went to chili’s for lunch. It’s a favorite. My friend treated all of us. . Then we went back to her house for an hour in her salt water pool. Today I am being lazy this morning. Waiting on my sis to call or text we have family in town. All 9 of us are having lunch. I am excited to see everyone.

its looking like I haven’t found a place to volunteer. I am going to look into a senior adult meal site...or the hospital pink lady program. I want snuggle the babies.

Morning...bet you can't guess what is not shining around here? Right, the sun is another no show. We even had storms pop yesterday that even surprised the weather gal. Told you Mother Nature hates us! Our hot day with a 100* heat index ended up not warming out of the 70s. A week from July and still no summer...any wonder the flooding is not receding?

So yesterday we did not do much. The rain finally cleared and the Cardinals played so I watched the game and read. I did finish the ironing. Jon wants to go to Penney's today and look at shirts today so I may ride along and check out a few for Drew. Now that he is a small men size I have more to choose from. Plus I may get to ride through a drive through. My weakness is fast food and right now it is Arby's chicken salad. Hate curly fries!

Karlinann the weeds are taking over here...way to much rain. The new tall phlox is beginning to bloom and is pretty. Planted one of each side of the front steps and the extra in the back...they are such a pretty pink and all that is blooming out there. Even the clematis is begging for an umbrella and refusing to come out. You lose interest when you are constantly fighting the rain, cold and weeds.

No idea what today's weather will be but it looks like yesterday's sky so it isn;t hard to figure the results. All you people with sun and normal summer weather gather your families and have a picnic. We are drowning and cold and all I do is eat!

Good Sunday morning! It is 74* out at 8:20 and it will be hot again here. Last night's wedding was in full sun, but thank Heaven a tree shaded my eyes after awhile. Friends in the sama row were starting to make me offers to change seats. We were given fans as we entered the seating area! The name of the bride and groom was on the front and the wedding party on the back. Most were fanning them selfves; I was shading my eyes until the sun got behind the tree.
The huge yard was so beautiful! The dad had been working on it for a long time and we were all guessing what they will do now. It would easily make money for them as a wedding venue! That ice! They had a fenced and gated side area where port-a-potties were brought in: the kind in an air conditioned trailer, not the blue kinds the construction guys use. Around here there have been a few wedding ranch venues started but this property is large like a ranch would be and backs up to an orchard at the end of a city street, so lots of parking and privacy. Anyway, it was a good evening and my friends I rode with jokingly asked if I would leave and go to Taco Bell aftr we had sat forever waiting for our table to go stand in a long line for food...I said, you don't have to ask me twice! I had had a diet soda and water and that was all I really wanted by then. We had been there long enough to be very polite and we made our way out. What shocked me was the cost of the Target gift: a box with 5 storage containers (I hope they were glass!) for 49.95!!! Pretty sure we could have found them at Costco for half that and a plastic set at Walmart for even less, but I did not have to shop or wrap or et a card, so I decided to not say a word other than thanks for going to the store and the registry. Do you think they raise the prices to full retail for the registry stuff? I wonder if the same thing could have benn bought at Bed Bath and B?

Church this morning and then home! I am going to take my mom to the cemetery to see about the grass and the rose bushes. I am not happy with how any of it looks and my brother will be here this week and thinking the three of us can do something to help the space.
I bought something that might be what Karlinann called big loppers! I have what I think is privet growing up between my roses and other small tress, etc and need to cut them out. My clippers are just not strong enough. Walmart had what I bought and one pruning huge item so I got what I could handle with my strength. Small and simple steps for me...

I need to go change shoes...I did find two dresses at Macy's and got new sunglasses and readers.
Jo, hope you have a bidding war! My friends whose house started abiding war actually took a bid that was not the highest but they liked the family and what they said in their letter. I thought that was awesome: hope you sell quickly but to your advantage!

Beth, is there a pet shelter you could volunteer?

Arby's onion rings with horsey sauce are my favorite!

I have a ton of Forget me not seeds and now will be looking for the right pot!

have a good day and be back to read later!

Thanks, Paula. From the sound of it, that just may be what happens. I sure hope so. I’d love a quick sale plus the profit.
Oh, the realtor has already put up his sign, with “
              Coming Soon“ on it.
