Good morning Rounders! Yes, I'm back in cyberspace. Yesterday was the end of the construction. Yay! I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders when they left. During the day yesterday I got several apologies from the tile guy. I think he got a good talkin' to from his fiancé who works with him. She is a very nice person and I'm sure she told him the error of his ways. We parted amicably, but I won't be referring him to anyone else.
I still don't have the mess cleaned up completely, but at least I am not feeling grit under my feet when I walk. I have to get the tape residue off the laminate where they taped down cardboard to walk on, but it did protect my floors. We love the new shower stall. It has to cure for 2 days so we won't start using it until tomorrow.
DH had a good doc visit on Monday. She told him the inflammation was gone and told him to stop wearing the boot and start wearing his shoes again. She gave him a compression heel sleeve with a gel pac to help protect his heel. She also recommended an MRI so she can see the level of degradation around the Achille's Tendon. He already has that appt set up. She also said he may not have to have the surgery to remove the spur for a year, but that he will have to have it done.
I found some more Ridley Pearson novels at the library. Hurrah! I much prefer his older novels.
DH made dinner last evening cuz I was knee deep in cleaning. He made Tex/Mex and it was good and I praised him for taking that task away from me so I could get our house is order. It felt so good to eat someone else's cooking for a change.
Animal Control was back at that house down the street yesterday. The cat poo is still 3 inches thick in their front window and when you drive around the cul de sac you can see it from the street. Ughhh! Nasty!
Due to the fact that the tile guy used an exorbitant amount of water to do his work I've turned off the irrigation system for the rest of this month. Thank goodness it's raining and my plants will get watered by ma nature. You think I'm kidding about the water. I'll let you know when we get our next water bill.
Peace & Plenty.
