Hey, good morning Rounders. We are supposed to get rain today and we need it. Around here after a rain the wind blows all the top layer of moisture away, so things dry out quickly. Did you see online where they are going to open the ancient Redwood Forest to the public for the first time? I didn't read it, but if they charge an entrance fee it would help boost California's economy for sure. They made Silver Springs into a state park here in Ocala when we first moved to Florida and they are making a good amount of money on that. They charge a parking fee and then everything inside the park is an additional fee; i.e., concessions, glass bottom boat rides, summer live bands in the park, etc. They also have different canoe trips on the Silver River, but I don't know if that is owned by the state park. Anyway, that could be good, and it could be bad for the RF. People leave a mark on nature, but I hope they can preserve and protect it for future generations.
I think I've read all the J.A. Jance books at our library now. I found 2 new books, one by James Patterson and one by Tami Hoag. I also found a paperback by Thomas Perry. I can keep the paperback as long as I want so I'll read that one last, but I read a few paragraphs and I'm hooked. Aunt Maye you are a prize! Pin a rose on you for introducing TP to me. I have another author that I want to look for when I go back to the library, Ridley Pearson. The TP book I have is The Face Changers. It promises to be a thriller.
Today is our day of rest and I'm gonna chillax. I do need to go grocery shopping though and possibly vacuum out the garage floor. It is covered with fine, grainy sand that sticks to everything and I can't stand it when there is static and it sticks to my Rebok sandals, you know when you wipe your feet on the mat. Uggh! I hate that.
I brought mister a patio chair around to the front yard and set it just to the side of our driveway so he can sit out there and catch the sun now that he is laid up. He really appreciates getting that outside reprieve while reading his book. His F/U appt is tomorrow and they will probably schedule his surgery. He said the bone spur still hurts like the dickens and he accidentally bumped it yesterday twice, so yeah, I think it will be surgery. We'll stop for lunch on the way home. That will lift his spirits.
Okay, there is your book for today. Peace & Plenty.
