Good morning Rounders. It's 49* here now and going to 60*. I've been up since 2 am, but I've been reading that new Sheriff Joanna Brady book and it's good. Aunt Maye you will not like it though. This is the first book by J.A. Jance that has bad language and it's a 2018 book, so you were correct in saying the new stuff has bad language. I wonder why though?

So we ended up having a grilled ham and cheese sandwich each last evening. I didn't think I would be hungry again, but I guess soup and salad does not go that far. DH had the chicken parm sandwich and fries, but he is a 3 meal a day guy so I knew he would need to eat dinner. We still haven't been to the new Cheddar's, but every time we go by it's just packed and neither of us has patience for waiting.

You are not going to believe this: Our friends across the street came over day before yesterday to tell us that the lady who lives in front of us fell and broke her hip looking at that Blood Moon. She apparently dragged herself into her house and called 911. The lady who is renting beside us is the one who saw the Fire & Rescue lights and went over to investigate. I sleep like a log and the people who live right beside her didn't hear or see anything either. So, she has a Titanium Hip now and is in a facility to heal and they said she is selling her house. I don't know. I tried to make friends with her when we first bought this house, but she never reciprocated and I waved at her many times when I was out in our yard doing work, but she would not wave back. Whatever! I don't know what I did or what happened, but I guess I won't need to worry about that now.

I have learned the hard way to be very careful what you say and who you talk to. I am a very positive person and I don't meet a stranger, but in todays world you have to tread lightly until you have scoped things out. Now after living here for over a year we have a general idea about all the folks who live on this Cul-de-sac. We have some good neighbors and some bad ones. I just stay in my yard and mind my own business.

A gloomy good morning from here. It is warmer...teens this morning with flurries later and an arctic cold later next week. It has been a long winter and I am not happy about losing our mild winters. If I ever won the lottery I would never see another snow flake or go out and see my own breath! Now to go out and remember to buy a darn ticket! Read yesterday that if you do not know the day or date you are depressed...really? Do you always know what day it is? And how many times have you guessed at the date? No depression here...even if I do not always know what day it is or the date..why should I know? Anyway....

Everyone is working today so I will be home alone. The blouse I ordered from Kohl's for Sierra is in but I did not get a message until I was already home yesterday. I always ship to the store for free shipping. Shipping is a ridiculous over charge that I try to get out of paying even if I order from Amazon and it takes a few days longer to get here. So instead of opening the front door and picking up my package I have to get in the car and drive to get it. And you may say six of one and half a dozen on another but remember I get to stop for lunch while I am out saving that couple of dollars on shipping. And when you think about it my time is not all that valuable. And I like drive through lunch. So I may not know the day or date but I do know all the fast food stops.

So nothing going on today or tomorrow for that matter. I am not an outgoing neighbor Karlinann but I do speak and wave. I also learned a long time ago that your neighbors are a mountain of information and gossip and most are willing to help in a pinch. Poor lady having to drag herself in to call for help. Beth hope your toe gets better. Put your feet up, wrap up in a blanket and relax today.

Have a great day people and stay warm. It is Saturday January 26 because my computer told me!

        Good morning !

Just checking in. Yesterday was a nice day for us. The afternoons are warm and nice. DD spent the day with us. Then we loaded her car with stuff and she went home. She is wrapped up in her DD’s in-law festivities (Jewish) because they include her. She can’t seem to avoid that.
I get a bit upset with this DD, when she suggests that SHE can use the stuff marked for her DD. Actually, her own cupboards overflow already, she is not a great house cleaner (I check glasses and cups before using them there). So I said I haven’t completely finished with my cooking/serving stuff at home, and am likely to have more if she wants it. What she actually will get is a lot of craft stuff, and she had asked for that, so it will make her happy. I give her what she “really” will use, and generously so. I just hopes she doesn’t snitch her DDs things. This DD of mine has become a hoarder, pretty much. Takes after my mother. Does one inherit that trait?

Today we meet with our next DD and her two girls. It will be an interesting day. We will likely go to an Italian restraint today. Yum!

Tomorrow we check out and visit the last girl, and she lives outside of Phx, but still on our way home.
I am glad to see that Tucson’s weather will hit the low 70’s for the coming week.

The trouble with hotel rooms is that unless you get an expensive suite, you are limited to the usage of lights. I am an early riser, E is a late riser. So I’m stuck in the dark, playing Helen Keller. Oh well. I need to find my meds in my nightstand, and eat a couple of graham crackers. I have half a bottle of lemonade on the desk so I can take my morning meds.

Wishing you all a good day. Stay warm! ☀️

I have no idea what temperature it is but I do know it is Saturday! Round table tells me the date. The dates aren't as important anymore, except birthdays for grandkids. And I do know when Pay Day is!!
Maxie, your receipt from the Fast food will have a date and time stamp on it...the problem is I would have to have my reading glasses right there to see it.

Delta Airlines was the one who determined my brother would live in MN. They were actually thinking of relocating to CT a few years ago when all the kids left home, but my SIL has a great book club with friends and a jjob at a school she likes so they decided to stay in Red Wing until real retirement. But those temperatures! and the snow ! I am not a snow driver or and ice driver. I don't drive up to Stuart's after the summer because I don't trust the weather over the mountains. Call me country mouse and chicken driver.

I have good neighbors. Hoping no one moves and it stays the same. We are all homeowners and most are probably permanent. I hope they think I am a good neighbor.

The new range is IN! When the guys delivering it took out the old one It sent out sparks and almost flames! I looked at the guy as we both jumped back and he said, Yeah, you needed a new range, like yesterday! It is almost the exact same model with just a few more things on it and really easy to work. I made lunch for the daycare and today will make cornbread for a chili cook off at church this evening. After a week of not using it I am ready to get baking. But the scales said I was not food deprived at all without the stove and I better be making healthier (less sugar and carbs) food! If that gyro wasn't a mile of walking (it felt like it) I would be checking one out again today.

So in about 25 minutes I have an appointment and then at 11:00 we are going to visit the lady who moved back to Red Bluff from AZ (she lived with her son) and then at 1:00 we are helping our friend with table decorations for her daughter's wedding. Thank heaven our real florist friend is helping. I think we are just doing the Mason jars today. Wrapped with ribbon and tied with raffia...
Then 6:30 is the chili dinner.
Somewhere after the wedding stuff I need to go food shopping. this morning is change linens and do the floor in my room.
I had planned to give all my craft things to the lady at church I told you about a while back: the one who is kind of a hoarder. I can't add to that. So, I will probably just take it to Salvation Army and forget that I don't really like them: they charge people too much, I think for what I Give them. And the place I had found last year for donating things that were to be given to those in need or sold to raise money for the homeless...I saw where that person has opened a different shop and in one of her photos on Facebook is a picture with a crazy quilt that looks just like the one I donated jto her old place with the intention it was to help the poor!!! Ok, breathing deeply and channeling my inner Elsa. Let it go! Actually, long before Disney made Frozen Gary used to tell me that when I would get worked up over something..Let it go, Paula, Just let it go. He was right.

Ok, so the Serenity Prayer works pretty well for me in these situations and whatever we can't change (weather, neighbors, donated items) I hope we all can just let it go and not let it get us down!
Who cares what day or date it is if we have family, friends, Faith and food! Cookies are my favorite treat and Donna makes the best!

I used to carry one in my purse, but it disappeared sometime, somewhere.....I’m tired of replacing them.

speaking of weather, the weather news says another arctic cold blast is coming to the Midwest, Great Lakes area, and eastern states. Even to Florida. I guess even the top of Mississippi had frost today. I can’t take that kind of cold any more, but it will probably miss AZ again. It mentions Wyoming, but not CA.
