    Good SUNNY Morning!

Yesterday was good. The entire morning was spent running errands & making deliveries. Came home and had to jump right into getting busy. Only baked 6 pies. One was for the guys next door and one was a pineapple pie that Sue ordered for a guy at WM. He wondered if I could make one, and I just so happen to make a few for a guy in Shelby, OH. Actually made a real dinner. Mixed up 4 kinds of cookie dough and baked off one. That's how I ended my day.

This morning started good. Put my hand in my capri and found $60 all washed and folded together. I LOVE that! This morning Sue is coming and we are going to make about 20 doz ladylocks. Just got done making the filling. Now need to make the filling for 4 Samoa pies. The restaurant ordered one & I was all out.

This evening Blaise has his first Troop meeting. Yesterday I had to stop at the BS store and get his shirt, scarf, and badges. I will NOT have those badges sewed on until next month. He'll get to meet his new den leader tonight since they didn't have one a few weeks ago when I signed him up. He'll be a Wolf.

Bethina...who's going to take care of your kitty while you are gone?

    Have a good one all!

    Good Morning. :

beth, take some photos of the costumes. Would be so fun to see.

Donna, Blaise a Boy Scout. Wonderful! Slow down and smell the flowers. We don't have any to smell. Wish we did.

Day 3 of chemo. John used to go on his own, but he is wanting me to do the driving, so I am ready and willing. Takes me longer to bath and fiddle with my hair than it takes to make the trip there and back.

Got tons of veggies cooked, so won't have to worry with that today.

Made great progress on removing John's outdoor clothing. That closet is almost bare. Yay!

Well, better get going. Want to get the carpet shampoo machine going today.

    Hugs to Everyone.

      Good morning
Hard to believe I click on Roundtable and was here instantly.. Love It.. so Good morning to all you dear dear folks..
Bethina , the joy of your upcoming vacation is coming thought loud and clear... may it be blessed with good weather.

Elaine,, IF I could get into DAvid's closet and throw. I would but since he is always home now.. He would just have a hizzy fit. so I will leave it all hang there, as we say in PA." It ain't eating anything.. just leave it there.". I do the driving now too.. DAvid right hand has severe nephropathy..his thumb and first two fingers have no feeling . and he is right handed.. He can drive but a sudden emergency his right hand might not respond fast enought... also his mental reaction time is slower too.. no fun getting old!
Donna, see you tomorrow .. have fun with your little lady fingers..

Davids BP is staying within acceptable ranges . ( for him).. but I hope they can find what started the problem.. .it wasn't the heart ,it passed all test .

Hi to all. I will return to read..

Well, good morning, Thursday! It seems it is taking a little longer to get to the end of this week, but that could be the noise around here and the baby being fussy...
Donna, if you see this before I get to facebook message, I wonder if I can order Ladylocks, yet? And I will get the address for the ones I want sent to my friend for our reunion the 21st of October.

Ok, so I have one load of laundry done, my bathroom cleaned and when I get done here I will get the living room floor. Since I started taking Maye's advice and Swiffering it first, it is so much easier to keep the dust bunnies and general outdoor dust that finds its way in at bay...then run a Clorox wipe over the whole thing and that tile is ready t go and sparkles!

I feel like JoGee: when the temperature is down to high 80's it is Fall! At night it is in high 50's so that is really nice.

Spencer call and said he had good and bad news; that always gets my attention. But, (why do kids do this to us?) the good news is he will have a trip out to CA next week, to Petaluma (kind of the Bay area). Bad news is he has only a few hours of free time. I said we can FaceTime over dinner that day and not to worry. Don't do that to your mother! Bad news jto me is you lost your job or something I can't fix! I don't expect him to drive 4-5 hours up here for a one hour visit and then drive back for meetings. I am thrilled they are sending him out here, but right now, I am really happy with where he is living and working. The boys are thriving in their schools and that is what it is all about for me.

I hope you all have a good day and your week is working well for you. Elaine, it takes me so long to get ready for my non work days. There is no reason to really fix up for daycare other than a little make up to take the scare away of what I look like without it. My hair and make up for shopping and church take a lot for fixing!

So good to keep hearing all you are doing, Maye!
Take care and see you all later!

          Good morning everyone.
I just got out of bed 15 minutes ago. It was one of the few nights I don't wake up during the night. Today we will be getting stuff ready to take to the Phoenix kids this weekend. We'll pack the car and drive up there tomorrow sometime, and return home Monday morning.

Yes Beth, take pictures of your costumes. Would love to see them.
We decided to not do Halloween this year, but will spend the night in a hotel instead. I know that E's surgeon will be able to schedule his shoulder surgery soon, and he'll be out of commission to deal with close to 200 kids. Then there's the Halloween decorations, which we won't be putting up....I can't do it myself. So....... we'll just have to skip it this year.

Oh, E did see the PCP yesterday, got an ECG and other tests done. There doesn't appear to be any problems, so she'll give the test results to the surgeon today when the results come back. The surgeon will then be able to schedule his surgery, and we know she wants to do it ASAP.

Today he needs to work on the kitchen sink, though. Don't know what happened, but everything is backing up in both of the sinks. It has never done that before. So far his trying to root it out hasn't worked, nor has the Drano. No fun.

Heard from our son's wife yesterday. I guess they don't bother reading their emails, and she said they almost never turn on their computer any more. She suggested I just call or text. Well, calling doesn't work, really....they're too busy. Our last visit to them lasted only 15 minutes, as they had places to be (they're in the kettle corn business). So I said when I have to contact the family for something important, it's far easier to just email the lot, than send individual texts. She agreed, after a long pause. We've got 8 kids altogether, plus our nephew who lives here who we hear from and see regularly. So if DIL wants updates, they'll have to check their emails.

Maye, I hope Davids health stabilizes and improves. This is the time of life that health issues seem to want to go weird on us. I blame it on a few of the many, many mutant genes that we all carry. (Those free classes at the college can teach you a lot.). When eating the right foods and exercising aren't enough, we get med's to correct what's going on.

My "broken" GD has come home, but she's not better. Half the time she is paranoid. So much going on with her. Her MIL is abusive, her SO is not particularly a smart guy, my DD her mom is her only real help but this is where the girl's paranoia kicks in. E & I suspect the SO has contacts for illegal drugs, which could do her in. He wants to move to another state where family won't get in the way of his "business". Sounds like drama? But it's serious, GD is an adult, and there's no solid real proof of what's going on with her or her SO to help her. I can only hope for a good outcome, but it doesn't appear likely. A shame, because she's such a beautiful girl, she used to be smart, loving, and kind. Now all this crap in her life.

Well, onto other thoughts. Like breakfast. I found the Pumpkin Cheerios at Target ---- they really are yummy!

Hope you all have a great day!

Jo hope all turns out well with you GD. Drugs and depression are a hard road to travel without support. Glad E is able to get his surgery. Will have to try pumpkin cheerios...one good thing about fall is it brings out all the pumpkin flavors!

Getting very tired of losing my started post. I do know what I am hitting but it is happening very often. Certainly cannot be my puffy little fingers? Oh well, yesterday did not end on a good note and this morning is starting off cold. Last night homework was a disaster and it got very ugly around here. Spelling!!!! We got a good dose of attitude and I ended up putting on my jams and watching Cards let the Cubs clinch division championship on our field! Disgraceful!! I did have to come back in to stop Jon in his tirade...it was quite a speech he gave and probably not zoned for young ears. 'You may not care about school and your mother certainly does not care but your grandmother and I care and we care a lot and this attitude is just fine if you are aspiring to live in a cave your entire adult life.' I am to damn old to be doing this homework every night and Jon does not have the patience and Sierra is the only one who can get into the kids head and believe me she gives him an ear full on his attitude. Wish I could find a cave!

Anyway, to day is haircut day and I love haircut day. I also love that I have enough running after haircut to also make this a carry out night. Since tomorrow is our usual carry out night we may just have two this week. I am tired of meal planning and sometimes I am not even happy with what I put on a table. And Saturday is our trip south with a huge meal out. Maybe things are looking up around here!

Yesterday while Sierra was getting into her car a big dog from down the street came running up and charged her. I was yelling and she was running to get into her car but we got a picture of the dog. Jon knew the dog and where he lives and now we have a picture. I could make a crack about some men needing big nasty dogs to prove their manhood but I will refrain out of politeness. Calling the police on a country dog is a waste of time around here. This is the land of atvs, guns and big manly dogs. Country living just sucks and sometimes I wonder why I ever considered this move. I love my grandkids but wonder if living this much in their lives is healthy for a grandmother/child relationship? Plus I am not a country dweller...I just hate the country.

Need to get moving and make my clean bed. Read if you make your bed every morning it structures your day better but I am finding that it is taking time away from my doing whatever I want. And making my bed every morning is not what I want to do every morning. Guess I am in a contrary mood today and this haircut will lighten my mood and perhaps help me lose a pound or two. Beth I would be excited too if hot sand was in my future. Cookie good luck on boy scouts. Maye glad David is recovering and yes, getting old is not for the weak. Elaine, lots of running and cooking. Paula, I never wear makeup unless I am going some place special. My kids always knew we were going out when mom put on her makeup...just do not mess with it but tht does remind me to get my brows waxed today also. See I am not a total mess! Have a wonderful day all and to anyone I missed, sorry, but I had a lot to bitch about this morning and you may have slipped through..

Good Morning, nothing gong on here. Went to goodwill yesterday, maybe it is me but their prices are getting outrageous. When you know everything is donated and they charge new prices it makes me mad.

I have wore very little makeup since Candie was born in 1981. Growing up on the farm never got into it much anyhow, the cows and chickens didn't care what you looked like so long as you fed them.

            Have a great day everyone
