  • Hump Day! 9/20

Morning...Monday and Tuesday were not very good days...I am hoping today will be better!! I am hoping for fewer volunteers in the store..I have had issues the last 2 days with the volunteers..I am really sick of the aditude going around the store but I totally get that people are sick of working short staffed.. I know that I am pretty tired of having to clock out early due to being done with my responsibilities and not being able to find something do ...

I am headed up stairs to cook my sister an egg sandwich...maybe with food to eat she won't nag so much...yesterday was especially bad!!!

Everyone try to have a good day...I know that I am going too

    Good morning.

Still not doing anything to aggravate this back. Tomorrow is injection day, so should feel better later tomorrow.

    I believe . . .
that we are responsible for what we do,
    no matter how we feel.

Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.

        Good Morning!

Janet, WoooHoooo! So happy to find you here this morning.

No problem with the cat. Animal control took him and said he was really wild. All we had to do was show our water bill, proving that we live in the county they service. Such a gorgeous black cat.

While we were out in the truck, we got it inspected, so that was a plus for us.

Never thought I would get excited about a haircut, but today is the day, and I am REALLY excited to get this mess sorted out.

JoG, honestly, people these days! Hope all goes well for Ellis' surgery and hope that the stress and strain of taking care of him goes well.

        Have a good day, Everyone.

          Good morning, everyone! ☕️
Looks like cloudy & windy weather for a couple of days for us. I don't care for the winds, as they stir up all the allergens, and my eyes get icky. (That's the technical term for it, isn't it?). Other than that, no complaints.

We are awaiting the doctor's call to set up E's shoulder surgery. He will have 8-12 weeks immobility after the surgery.

But today we have to run to the bank.....I'll be moving my account elsewhere. They've got some stupid rules all of a sudden, if I don't deposit or withdraw within every 30 days, my bank card quits working; and still letting my money sit (I consider it an emergency fund), they're going to charge me. Huh? So phooey on them!

          Otherwise, nothing much happening here.

Oh, the sun is suddenly bright, over the mountain, and so far no clouds. ☀️

Maye, so good to have you back, nagging & all. 😄

          Have a great day, everyone.

It is a very good day when Aunt Maye posts! It is also a noisy garbage truck day, a cowering, shaking dog day (afraid of the garbage truck noise) and the day all the kids will be here. I have bacon cooked for the scrambled eggs and that gives a welcoming aroma (sorry, Elaine, I know you don't like it) that should keep kids going for awhile.

I have so many different meetings and appointments this week, including the mandated food meeting last Wednesday, last Friday a hair appointment, tonight a daycare association meeting here in REd Bluff with a rep. from the District Attorney's office and CPS, and an appointment on Thursday night and Friday! Too many, but the daycare ones are really important. I have a child in care whose mom has a restraining order on the father and it covers daycare, too, so I want to hear the information that will be covered about it.

Awhile back I had cleaned my living room blinds and thought I did a good job...oh, my goodness! Fall deep cleaning and a step ladder are required and soon!
Short people will understand, as well as ladder challenged people...

I hope you all have a good day. Stay safe and well and returning to the RT!

Good sunny and hot morning. we are getting the temps we should have had in August this next week. I cannot paint in 96* temps! Besides my back is still hurting and my arm sore from the flu shot. Actually my arm does not hurt but Sierra has been such a whine bag over hers that I just have to give her competition! But she has been home Monday and Tuesday for math homework so I will not beat her up to bad. She has had classes cancelled all week due to sickness. Yesterday she got to school as the email cancelling came through...even Andrew's mother has strep throat so that must be the culprit. When I ask Drew if a lot of kids were absent he claims he hasn't noticed. Must just mean more food at lunch for him and with his appetite increase that is an important thing. I made a rice side dish last night as and I was clearing the table he came back and took the leftover bowl and crawled into the boy cave. The boy eats!

Today is Jon's birthday so the kids gave him his gifts last evening since that was the last day this week they would be together. I had cake but Andrew says we should save it for dad's birthday. So today we eat cake....a real favorite of mine. I ask what he wanted for a birthday dinner thinking he would choose going out....please please please...but noooooo, I am cooking meatball strogonoff. It has always been his favorite but I was counting on going out...This is 3 nights so far this week I have cooked. I am exhausted!!! Wait until my birthday! We are eating out if I have to take myself!

Yesterday I did all my running and should be able to stay home today. Errands take so long with the fast rail project still going on and crossings closed. So much detouring and figuring out where I am. Just going into a place from a different direction changes my perspective. And detours are not clearly marked because I guess everyone is suppose to know where they are and everyone should know that I seldom know where I am.

Have a lot of laundry so that is the chore today after I get the meatballs on. Thank goodness I had some made up! Cardinals won last night and the Blues have an exhibition game tonight....wish I could go but with the rioting still fresh I will be staying out of down town St.Louis for a while and especially off metro link. Good to see you back Aunt Maye. Have a wonderfully warm day everyone. Fall starts Friday...so sad but if it must let's get these seasons moving so summer will be back around!!

Good Morning Rounders, don't know if it is cold outside or just in here. Windows were open but Krystal closed them all and turned the A.C. on.

Nothing much going on, just me and Molly moving around here, DJ and Judy may be up downstairs but she isn't yelling so don't know, they stay up late and sleep most of the day.

                Everyone have a wonderful day.
