Good Morning! Now there is suppose to be sunshine out there somewhere. Yesterday was a total bust with clouds ALL DAY. BLAH!
Yesterday was dreary but pretty productive. After delivering the pies, I went to Bible study for the morning. I'm glad I went, but it kind of busts up your day. LOL! I came home with 6 home grown tomatoes that taste wonderful. Then it was home to make & bake. It was leftover soups for dinner. Watched Mulan with Blaise. It was the first time he'd ever seen it. My girls loved it when they were growing up.
This morning I'm up early baking 2 tomato pies for the stand. Last week I sent home a sample with a lady when she came to pick up her 2 ordered pies. She told me that her husband makes them all the time. Well I told her if her husband's taste better than mine, to please share the recipe since I was just learning how to make them. Well she came back yesterday for a couple more pies she had ordered, and said that mine were better than her husband's. Mine had more flavor. Made my day!
Will bake my pies for tomorrow. Sue & I are going to make & roll crusts this morning for an hour before she heads out to play in the dirt. In the meantime, I'm going to start working on the 5 doz ears of corn Linda sent home with me yesterday. I husked them last night, and threw them back into the refrig for the night. Now to blanch & cut the corn off. My Mom is coming over later to help. Good time to chat & visit. I don't need this much corn, but I'll find a use for it. Will probably donate and use some of it for when we do a meal for the homeless this winter. I've got October's meal already planned and corn wouldn't go with it I don't think.
I saw Noggie popped her head in. Awwwww......the memories. We were such a fun & rowdy bunch back then. The "parties" we had were fun. Maybe we need to throw one soon. See what kind of party animals we still have.
Have a good one all! Hey...where's Jostoy been?
