Good Morning! It's to be a nice sunny "fall" day here in August.

Yesterday was good. Just kept plugging along. Wasn't quite finished when Blaise came home, but that was because Lew ask me to make some white peach triple berry pies too. Had fish for dinner. NOT one of Corky's favorites, but he still eats it & thanks me for dinner.

Was sitting here playing Chainz around 8:30pm when there was a HUGE EXPLOSION! I called 911. This happened about 3 weeks ago too. I was still rattled 15 minutes later. Saxonburg's fire chief called me and ask questions. I had talked to him the first time this happened when I saw the fire trucks parked across the road from us scanning the skyline looking for smoke. He told me last night that he eventually found out what happen last time, and he was going to go to the same place & ask questions. There was a gathering of people there last night, but they wouldn't admit that they did it again. Well he told them if he ever got a call about this again, it wouldn't be him coming, but the State Police to investigate. He called me back, and told me what he found out. I thanked him, and told him I'm sorry he had to waste his time on idiots.

This morning after delivering the pies to the stand, Blaise & I will be attending a memorial service for my Aunt J. Cork was suppose to be home with Blaise, but he has to work OT today. No big deal. Not sure what the rest of my day will hold.

    Have a good one all!

    Good Morning.

Donna, memorial service for Aunt J? What is that about?

Paula, no. Dudley's widow is Brenda. Brenda sold her home here and moved to a much bigger city about 90 miles away. She is doing well. We talk a couple of times a week.

Nancy is the niece who lives here. Frank is her husband. They have a daughter in Dallas and 2 sons in Houston. Have not heard from them this morning. Wondering what is happening weatherwise down there. Have quite a few kinfolk in the storm area. Hoping to hear something from all of them pretty soon. Very dark and overcast here, but no rain yet.

Nancy takes care of her brother. He is 69 and lives across the street from her. She took him to doc Thursday. Ear infection and strep. Then got a message from her last night saying he couldn't breath and they called the ambulance. Put him is hospital for pneumonia, but her phone died and she forgot the charger. Just when I need to talk to her the most!

Better get the day started. Got lots to do.

    Hugs to Everyone.

Thanks for setting me straight. Believe me, lots of us are praying for the safety of all those in the Hurricane area.

Good morning...sunny but coolish. Was watching the news yesterday and saw how close Corpus Christi was to San Antonio on the map and wondered if my brother was going to have any storm problems. I texted and he called on his way home from work. They are expecting nothing but rain but he had stocked up and was prepared if they had flooding. I have not watched the morning news because I just did not want to see any news on that despicable, deplorable, sexist, racist, horrible person ruining this country. And I can;t get on face book this morning so have not heard family news from those in Texas. Andrew's other sister picked him up last night around 10:00 and Sierra was in by 10:30 and with it being a cool night we tucked in early. Yesterday I opened the blinds that had sealed the windows all summer and emptied another potted plant. The porch is finally repaired and can be painted and the lattice hung but next weekend he is off and we are going to the family end of summer party. I really want it finished soon so we can get the landscaper back this fall to seed the yard and maybe throw in a plant or two. Instead of thinking next summer's vacation we need to concentrate on finishing this summer's projects. I am a forward thinker and my son is a procrastinator! Elaine hope this storm and any damage it brings has missed you. Have a wonderful weekend all...no rain predicted for us all weekend...of course no 90* days either so boo!

Am having a horrible time posting this morning. I have no idea what the "Alert" flag is about.

        Good morning, everyone.
The sun has crept over the mountain, so it's nice and sunny.

Reading the weather map on Dallas, and they've upped its catagory. Texas hasn't had a category 4 since 1886. I hope all precautions were taken and the people will be safe. They'll all be in my thoughts today.
We have family in Texas as well, one daughter near Dallas, and a GD in San Antonio. Haven't heard from them yet.
Elaine, I hope that projected forecast of 40" of rain will be dumped on your area....you've had quite a bit of rain already, haven't you?

E is doing good, all considered. His doc asked him to make arrangements with radiology, and has given him a follow up appointment. I gather his arm/shoulder is still more tender than he'll actually admit.

Nothing much exciting happening around here. I'm getting "cabin fever" though, and will soon be needing somewhere to go, other than around home.

Lisa, it's really good to have you back posting again! How's Tex doing? Will he have to have surgery?

Hope you all have a good day.

Create a beautiful day wherever you go.

Good to hear E is feeling better. There are so many small movements that involve the shoulder and arm that I am constantly being reminded that mine is still here and doesn't like being pushed too far.

good morning...kind of ate but it is Saturday and my schedule is different. I haven't been out to do any shopping, yet, and that is because I stayed up later and really feel it this morning. I did swim and was able to enjoy taking as long as I wanted. The air outside was 66 at 7:00 but we are supposed to have the low 100's this week and tha tis ok with me: I want to be able to swim awhile.
Donna, that is a great fire chief to get back to you. I can't imagine how you must have felt to hear something that loud in your area. Di you think it was fire crackers or what?!
I messaged a friend in San Antonio to see how they are and she said their house is up high and no problem with flooding, but they are ready for power outages and stocked up on food and snacks and water. They have two kids so snacks are important (and she said she has her chocolate). the things that keep us grounded.
Oh, friends, take care and stay well. Sorry if I go on too much about the little town doings here...
Maxie, not sure who the Ravens are playing, but my son is going to their game tonight. I know it isn't the real season ,yet, but he and his boys love that stadium and getting into the American sports excitement. They went to hockey last year, too. And a baseball game or two. Sports help keep us normal with all the other things out there to stir things up.
Have a great day and share those smiles!

Yes sports are good for taking your mind off things or just plain letting you scream out your bent up aggression and anger! I am so getting so excited about hockey starting soon...I just love that sport which means I am full of aggression? Did I not read somewhere that an incredibly famous Japanese baseball player is maybe going to sign with an American team? I forgot his name but was impressed with the interview I saw.

Definitely. He's had two already, one to put a stent in the bile duct to let out the masses of stones and shale, and one to take the stent out again! Eventually they'll get around to taking the gall bladder out. They're dragging their heels on it for sure.
